This is the place that was missing at Henry's Depot in Sanford. Their menu has things like sushi, fish sandos, fish and chips and more. I tried the spicy tuna and ceviche rolls. The sushi was amazing, the fish tasted fresh and the ceviche roll was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I really liked that combination. Even though the spicy tuna roll is a classic it was delicious You order on a self-serve kiosk and I like that it has photos of the items. After that you get a text letting you know when your order is ready. Henry''s Depot has indoor and outdoor seating. Keep in mind that this is a food hall and it can get loud. There's also a bar at the back. This was a great meal and I look forward to coming back soon.

I had The Current bookmarked in Sanford and with it being only fifteen minutes away it was easy to get there. As I approached, I thought, "That's where it is?" I have passed the place many times but never knew it was there! It is a couter service place. Which mostly means a quick in and out. Plenty of seating inside and even some outside. I ordered my Blacken mahi sandwich with Old Bay fries and waited at a table for it to arrive. When it did, all I can say is, wow! Might of been the best blackened fish sandwich I have ever had, wow! The fries could have had a little more seaoning on them, but I was here for the fish and it ruled. Also, for a counter service place I had probably as many "how are you doing" checkins as I would have had with a table service place.

The service was friendly and informative. If you're a newbie like me, you'll need to order at the counter first, then take a seat at one of the communal tables. They also have outdoor seating as well as a bar. I ordered fried okra and fried shrimp. Everything was hot and freshly prepared. It's been years since I've had fried okra and this side dish did not disappoint! Hubby ordered the fried grouper sandwich and fries. Everything tasty! The food arrived quickly. I'm not 100% positive, but the food seemed to be made from scratch, i.e no pre-frozen items. We enjoyed our meal and can't wait to return. Parking is curbside.

We were approached right away and drink order taken. Waitress explained they had a "shared" serving system. Drinks came soon and then app order was taken. And then literally nothing for almost half an hour. We had to flag down another waitress to take our order. Then we waited another half an hour. The food was good. The apps we got for our meal (Bang Bang Shrimp) portions were huge. The blackened Mahi fish tacos were good--I liked the planks of fish on top and the choice of pico de gallo or mango salsa. All in all a positive experience but I guess due to the busy day, service was slow. If you like big portions, this place is for you! All staff super friendly!

In the end everyone got their food and drinks and the ladies were happy. Only one girl didn't get her meal so she had to wait for them to cook it and was the last to eat. They did however give her a small discount off her food. I got the fried fish tacos with mango sauce. Served hot and fresh. I did add a little tartar sauce and it was good. It also came with coleslaw. The view of the river is beautiful. I do however think they need to take some money and get them a new sign out front it's made out of wood and falling apart. They also need to freshen up the front of the building the welcome mat at the front is definitely seen it's better day. Overall good experience good food friendly service.

The tv is playing feed from New Orleans and it's cool! The decor is very Mardi Gras centered. Our food was outstanding. The blackened shrimp appetizer was out of this world. We also enjoyed the Cajun fried rice and oyster poboy. Everything was seasoned and flavored so well. We dined on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. The staff members were nice, specifically our server, Jordan. The food came out fast. Make sure to give The Bayou a try! You won't regret it.

This was a truly unfortunate meal. We were in Sanford for the seafood fest when a lovely gent…read morementioned the redfish at The Bayou being to die for. After exploring the fun options, we decided to follow this fun guy's rave review. Boy... that was a giant mistake. We arrived around 2:30 pm so we didn't expect a vibrant crowd but it was pretty dead. We asked about beverages and the lovely server informed us that they were out of almost everything, the drink menu wasn't accurate, and she could just tell us what was on tap. Okay.. that's fine and we picked some reasonable beers. Then it all fell to hell. Hubby asked for the dinner with redfish only to have the server look at him dumbfounded and say she didn't know if they had it. Okay.. I asked for the crab cake appetizer with a side of fries. They have multiple loaded fry options on the menu. They had no fries. None. No redfish either. Hell, pretty sure they didn't have catfish either. We opted out of any entrees and just got the crab cakes (sans fries). Stopped by the ladies potty and it was super stinky, though still manageable. What wasnt manageable were the doors with broken locks and the toilet seats that slid across the bowls when you tried to tinkle. It's pretty when you look toward the sinks. It's vile when you sniff toward the pots. The crab cakes finally arrived and smelled/looked delicious. Alas, looks are wildly deceiving when the chef flips the BLACKened cakes so that you don't see it, but you sure as heck tasted the epic char of loneliness. I don't know what to make of this experience because many have had a lovely meal. They were understaffed (the server was a lovely darling), they were severely under-prepared, and the chef tried to hide an epic fail of a dish by flipping it over. Do I think I others should try it? I actually do. They have had good reviews and this was weird. Will I be back? No, that's very unlikely. I wish them the best but this was a fairly epic fail.

In town on a work trip, my husband, and I decided to try this place out! What a wonderful surprise! From the moment you walked in the eclectic, industrial, modernized, warm, cozy feel welcomes you in. Our server was friendly and attentive, and we knew right away that this place was a find! A wonderful happy hour menu, led us to a full menu of what felt like a farm to table experience. I sadly didn't get to snap a photo of the excellent appetizer buratta, but it was a perfect blend of balsamic tomato and creamy cheese! I am a true foodie, and this was hands-down the best burger I've ever eaten. My husband absolutely loved his shrimp and grits, perfectly cooked and well balanced flavor. Well, I know everyone recommends the chocolate cake, I can't rave enough about the crème brûlée. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to enjoy a " private chef experience" meal! You will be glad you did!

The restaurant is nicely decorated but the acoustics were horrible. It WAS SO LOUD that it made the dining experience suffer greatly. We sat upfront to avoid the noise but could barely hear one another across the table. But again the food was wonderful. Not a single dish disappointed. Many, many complements to the chef and his staff.
