We really enjoyed our dinner here! I had the filet mignon hibachi which was excellent, my husband had the bagel roll and a sushi roll that was crisped with a torch all were superb. It seems the growing pains they were experiencing have been handled, and the speed of service and quality of the staff is so much better! I ordered the 10 piece sushi with tuna roll for $17 which is definitely a deal. The Sushi was very fresh and tasty all around. The server was very nice and attentive. In town on business. I went here to eat. If you are by yourself they require you buy to meals to sit at the table. A family had just came in and actually had a seat available at their table but was advised I would still have to buy two meals. This is ridiculous. Horrible service, never got a chance to even taste a drink! Once seated, the waitress never showed up and the other tables who sat down after us received their drinks and soup before we asked for a waitress. Of course, she comes over with no apology and asked what did we want which was water. Again she disappears for about 10 mins and we decided to leave. As we're leaving we run into her with still NO water and I tell her we decided to leave and she hunches her shoulders up like ok/whatever. If I could rate a 6 I would! This is, hands down, the absolute best meal ever. I had, steak, shrimp and noodles with a side of mixed veggies (broccoli, zucchini and onions). Although I didn't eat my onions, everything was wonderful. The soup and salad starters were also really good! Was absolutely worth every penny. read more

This evening, I ordered chicken hibachi and a volcano roll. The salad was iceberg lettuce tossed in a sauce that tasted mainly of miracle whip (yuck). The soup was like any other broth soup you get at a hibachi place. Not bad, not good. The miracle whip sauce was offered for dipping which was unfortunate. The rice was over salted. The chicken was way overcooked. When chicken is overcooked, it gets a rubbery texture that I can't handle. I didn't eat any past the first bite. The vegetables were just okay. Overly saucy and salty in my opinion. The volcano roll was yummy although the presentation was lacking. The guy making our food was fun but our waitress was snippy at us for taking care of her job for her (getting chopsticks when she never offered them for our sushi and asking for a water refill that had sat empty for a long time). Overall, a below mediocre experience that will not have me coming back. read more

So, this place has NO air conditioning and is so uncomfortable that it's hard to enjoy a meal. You can tell this has been an issue for a while as they have fans and portable a/c units all over the place. Unfortunately they don't help. Sakura's has big city prices; the food and service are excellent; the upkeep of the dining area and bathrooms make Sakura's a substandard restaurant. Very unappealing; I have been in out houses that were cleaner and better provisioned than the ladies bathroom here. The two chairs that we were directed to sit in were unsightly, with wholes in the seat cushions. Correct these conditions and Sakura's would merit the big city prices in Muskogee Oklahoma. read more

My wife and I really enjoyed this location, but this last year has been a terrible experience. The last two visits resulted in bad service, bad food, and a high bill. Three of us dined yesterday at Sakura of Muskogee. My sister and i had the Bento box and was very good with a nice sized portion. My wife has to eat gluten free because she has celiac disease. The only thing she could order was of the habichi grill. She brought her own gluten free soy sauce. My wife ordered the grilled stake and scollups with veggies. The food was tasty put the portion was very small. She had six small bites of stake and 4 scollups. This seems to be avery small portion for the menu price of $21.00. This is the reason for the 2 star rating. Will we return for another meal? Maybe. But i know my wife will seek another gluten free option. read more

Waited 20 minutes before the chef even showed up to cook our food. I had to ask for the sauce which is suppose to be given to you before your entree. My family and I went to Texas for Easter break to visit my grandparents. We were making our way back home in Iowa when we stopped by Muskogee, OK for the night. We came across this Japanese restaurant, just a five-minute drive from our hotel. The service was good with friendly employees. The food was phenomenal with good quality and a wide variety. There was especially a lot of sushi rolls. I had some shrimp fried rice with some water and an orange-flavored Japanese soda. For dessert, my sister and I had vanilla-flavored fried ice cream. I even tried crab rangoons for the first time and loved them. Meals were reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who passes by the vicinity during lunch or dinner hours. I'm usually a tough grader on Yelp, although I do give five-stars every now and again (I just have to decide this was a perfect experience). I do rate businesses fairly, and this is no exception. My final grade for this restaurant: 5/5 (100%). And I'm sure to be back again someday. read more

Ok, so I have been going here since they opened and have had only a few issues with the staff and the language barrier, how rude they are when taking orders and dealing with an upset customer when they were in the wrong. I and my co worker only have a limited lunch time to eat. I am 8 months pregnant and had a craving for sushi. I have never complained about the rising prices or the smaller portions, or how rude they can be in general because they are the only sushi place close to me. But enough is enough, my co worker called in the complaint to the restaurant and the man she spoke with was rude, condescending and kept interrupting her. He demanded that we bring him the trash bag that we threw the bad food away in so that he could see it. So I gathered the food into a single bag and brought it up to the restaurant where the waiter refused to acknowledge me and when I sat the dirty bag on the counter he finally decided I was worth paying attention to. Then instead of speaking to me he calls one of the sushi chefs form behind the bar in their native tongue to root through the trash. When he could not see the hair in the trash he went back to the sushi bar and went back to work with out washing his hands. Then proceeded to tell me that since I did not take a picture of the hair in the soup or sushi that he was not going to refund me even though he had the soup and other sushi that he made incorrectly. So if you want things done right the first time and polite service don't eat sushi in Muskogee. You are better off spending money elsewhere. read more
