A cute little place with astonishing food! I've driven past it before, so I had some hopes for it. As I walked in, I already knew I'd love this place just by the inside! You could buy little snacks and drinks on the side, as well as some desserts too! The costumer service was great, and very respectful! After ordering, I came home so excited to try the food! Glad we tried this place! Longing for an old style Bento box. Very close. But something still lacking in the Valley. Basic low key deco, atmosphere bland. But all I wanted was food! Had the chicken teriyaki. Very good. Added a side of shrimp tempura. All freshly cooked. Considering the quantity, quality, and price, a good value. Service is lacking, but about what you would expect from a two person mom and pop operation. I will go back! Try it! read more

I went here for the first time while vacationing in Palm Desert. The staff was very friendly, the food was made fresh and tasted great. The restaurant was cool and clean, very calm enjoyable environment. The prices are very reasonable for sushi and the food quality makes its 100% worth it. We'll definitely be back. This new place is pretty nice! This area doesn't have many small, casual Asian restaurants, so this is a good one. They sell bottled/canned drinks and snacks as well. The owner is really nice and the food is good as well. read more

My friend and I were in town for a while. I was rlly craving some boba, but she wanted sushi. We ordered through Chownow and picked it up. I got the classic milk tea and we bought tw sushi deluxes. We walked in and couldn't really see the menu because it's blocked by the TV and the way the seating is set up, I couldn't get around the customers in line to grab the to-go menu which is positioned on the other side of the register, hidden. Well they let this party continuously cut us off in line and I eventually got sick of it and just said excuse me and squeezed through them to grab the to-go menu. When we eventually got to order and the ENTIRE party got all their orders in once they decided they were ready, we had to wait about 30 minutes to get the 2 sushi rolls we ordered... just TWO. I wanted to leave but I already paid for it. I went around to make myself more noticable and soon as I did that you can hear the guys in the back to tell the lady my order so that way she can make it. It took her less than 5 minutes to make... I just came to this place for quick to go sushi so that way I can spend some more time doing other things I ended up spending an overall hour for the service and then to eat the food and I could have enjoyed a nice quality restaurant for that amount of time spent. You've successfully ruined all of my plans and will always be the place that ruined my plans. I will never be back. read more

The coziest fast Japanese fusion place. It's very clean. They have Japanese snacks and drinks for sale too. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki plate, it was loaded with shrimp. My friend had the pork curry katsu, it was very tasty and the katsu was fried on the spot. read more

I tried Sakura Palm for the first time through a delivery service. I ordered tofu terriaki and chicken terriaki bento box. The tofu terriaki was really good, however there was only a slight drizzle of the sauce. On several pieces there was no sauce so the tofu took on no flavor. What I did taste of the sauce was really good. It was light and not overly sweet or salty. The chicken in the chicken terriaki was a bit dry and again there was only a slight drizzle of the sauce so the rice was very bland and the chicken was dry. I would try them again but I would specifically request more sauce. read more

Real, authentic Japanese food with friendly, family service. I had the chicken teriyaki with soba noodles and Lemon Tea Boba and everything was great! I can imagine this is what a small cafe in Japan would be like down to the food, decor, and furniture. I am looking forward to trying something different next time I visit. read more

Love this place, been getting their food for years while they were at the mall. However I love even more seeing them in a restaurant setting. The atmosphere is bright, fun and new like the food this couple cooks! If I could give 0 stars I would, I sent my husband out to order dinner to bring home, I had a coworker today order from Sakura Palm and it looked pretty good and my husband and I have been craving some good California rolls and teriyaki chicken. My husband called me about 10 minutes after leaving and said that they refused to serve him, I thought he was joking, however, apparently because he was asking questions trying to get an understanding of the menu the woman taking the order just walked away from him and the man (he thought maybe the owner) and takes over and stated "we cannot serve you" my husband said he laughed and said "excuse me?". The man told him that he asked to many questions that he was too much trouble. He was completely in shock when he called me to tell me. My husband is not the kind of man that is rude or who talks down to people. The ironic thing is he said there wasn't even anyone in the restaurant lol. I guess they won't be there much longer. Avoid this restaurant, they don't deserve anyone's business! read more
