I moved to Philly for school and eat sushi all the time, and miss Sakura. It's consistently good every time and you can't beat the price. I usually just get simple rolls, but the more extravagant ones are good too. The rice is always perfectly sticky, the fish is fresh, and if you go at a quiet time they are so fast. I like to sit there for lunch and get takeout for dinner, as dinner time is always pretty busy.

Came here for take out on a Wednesday evening. There were some people dining in, and there was a lot of take out. Order at the counter and server brings you the food for dine in. Server was nice, but I ordered salmon skin and got smoked salmon. Ambiance was nothing fancy. The miso soup had good flavor. My daughter liked the California roll. The yellowtail was pretty bland. Prices are good--you get 8 pieces in a roll with a small piece of fish in each for an average of $4.50/roll. They also sell some Japanese groceries at reasonable prices. Located next to Ramunto's Pizza in the shopping plaza with Plato's Closet at Taft Corners.

Amazing food, wonderfully friendly service, and the location is great!! The gyoza was absolutely phenomenal. And the chicken udon was the most fresh and tasty. Very well priced, you get generous portions. We loved trying this new place!!

Sakura Sushi and Kitchen is one of those little, unassuming gems that totally blows you away! It's a cozy little spot with zero pretension and great Japanese flavors. I had the Spicy Tuna Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Chicken Cutlet Curry, and Spicy Salmon Don. Everything came out fresh. This place is run by people who really know what they're doing. I'm planning to come back tomorrow for lunch just to have a healthy meal and to explore more of the menu. If you're anywhere near Williston, check this place out!

It's really small and simple. Fast service. Sushi is fresh but small. Menu is not diverse but it's good. Minimalist environment.

Awesome food, but it took over 45 minutes for our carry out order to be ready. Not the best choice if you are on a schedule.

If you…read morehave kids or a special occasion it's definitely worth considering and doing the hibachi "show" and trying to catch some of those flying veggies in your mouth. Service is also quick and I think food is dependably pretty good. I like that the grill meals come with salad (dressing is quite tasty) and soup and that portions are very generous for whatever you get hibachi wise. I got the sea scallops and steak combo. They had heard salmon but didn't have any issue when I clarified on my intended order and ended up getting both. Everything was delicious and it's nice that the meal, which can be meat heavy, also comes with a good amount of veggies. One of my kids had their own version of the hibachi and enjoyed their salmon while the other one got the teriyaki non-hibachi, which has a slightly different flavor. We also shared some sake bottles and nigiri. Maybe it shouldn't come as a surprise that our bill as a family of four was over $150 without tip, but it does make going out to Koto more than once or twice a year tough. I noticed the same items for their lunch menus were considerably cheaper so that might be the play if you are flexible timing wise.

The…read morebartender was clearly drowning in drink orders and doing her absolute best to keep up, while the rest of the staff were incredibly sweet and doing everything they could to provide good service. What really stood out was the way Dan spoke to his employees, especially the women. He repeatedly talked down to them in a way that was uncomfortable to watch. There was also a lot of pointing and aggressive body language while speaking to them, which was completely unnecessary and came across as disrespectful and condescending. Instead of standing around criticizing his staff, it would have been nice to see him jump in and help a little--especially when the bartender was clearly overwhelmed with drink orders. His employees were doing their best, and a manager should be supporting their team when things get busy, not making the situation more stressful. The staff themselves were kind, friendly, and clearly trying their best. It's unfortunate to see employees working hard while their manager makes an already stressful situation even more uncomfortable. A little patience, respect, self-awareness, and actually helping your team would go a long way.

I got the Malay Curry noodle soup with tofu & vegetables, and buckwheat noodles ($20). It took about 15-20 minutes to arrive despite them being dead, but once the food arrived, I was happy... until I realized they forgot the tofu! Once I told server, they brought out a side of steamed unseasoned tofu right away. The broth was pretty rich and well-spiced, with a deep Malaysian laksa-like broth, lots of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrot and bell peppers), with a generous serving of buckwheat noodles. Pretty tasty stuff overall, albeit a bit pricey. Good spot overall, especially for a such a small town.
