Fried bananas
Sonia P.

First time visiting Sakura and was not disappointed. For an extra charge we got our own hibachi table didn't feel like sitting with others as we were celebrating my bday it was 4 of us. The food was delicious and plenty we had leftovers. We all had the Sakura supreme which is chicken, filet mignon, scallops, shrimps, and lobster. Plus soup, salad fried rice and assorted veggies. That's for 2 people. It was delicious. For dessert we try the fried cheesecake, fried ice cream and fried bananas they were all delicious. For drinks cherry blossoms,Cadillac margaritas (my favorite) Moscow mule and beer. The restaurant has one side for hibachi and the other side for sushi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is nice and friendly staff very attentive and very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely will be back and recommend.

Heart attack roll picture after I ate a couple pieces already.

This is the second time I have been to Sakura. And it did not disappoint. I had the heart attack roll again. And an orange chicken bento box. The service was great. The staff were nice and friendly.

OMG...so yummy and so fun! Enjoyed a family dinner last night and had the best time. Not only was our food delicious, but there was so much. We had a bunch of appetizers including the pan fried gyoza, edamame, and the soft shell crab roll. My husband and I had the Sakura Supreme dinner for 2, and it came with so much stuff...chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, lobster, bacon fried rice, and of course soup and salad. But what makes hibachi so fun are the awesome chefs. I mean, how can you not have fun when they shoot sake in your mouth with a squirt bottle. We definitely had a blast!

The charge auto gratuity, plus request tips on top of price + tax + gratuity.total for a 20% would have been $170 on a $112 tab.
Twila J.

Look the sushi is decent, it's a fair price. The sashimi is fresh. The service is ok. BUT I was floored by the automatic 20% gratuity they sneak in, and then ask for 20% tips ON TOP of the full bill + tax + gratuity, is that even legal? wild practices here. Would eat the food again, but I'll definitely never double tip, that's insane. If I would have tipped 20% it would have actually been a 53% tip??!! Insanely horrible business practice.

We got to have the best hibachi experience tonight. Our chef was super creative with the rice arrangements (see photo) and the food was cooked to perfection. My husband got 14 seconds of free sake too! So glad this place is doing so well in woodland !

Have you ever seen maguro look like this? So unappetizing. We completely lost our appetite after seeing this. Nothing we ordered seemed right. Thankfully the Taco Bell is right behind it.

It balances upscale and relaxed in a way that works whether you're there for a date night, business dinner, or just grabbing a drink. The lounge has great energy and always feels alive without being too much. The food speaks for itself. Consistently high quality, fresh, and well executed. You can tell there's intention behind every dish, not just going through the motions. For the level of quality you're getting, the value is absolutely there. This time, three of us ordered burgers, and they were some of the driest, most flavorless burgers I've ever had. Burger Saloon, I'll never betray you again. The experience itself felt unreal. We found out our waitress was on her 4th day working and she literally quit after taking our order. You truly can't make this stuff up. Another server had to come retake our order, and even then things still came out wrong. I asked for no cheese because I'm lactose intolerant, but my burger came with cheese anyway. Out of 7 drinks ordered, 3 were forgotten. One drink specifically requested no sugar on the rim and came out with sugar. I did feel bad for the replacement server. He looked incredibly nervous and was visibly shaking. Despite all the mishaps, we still left him a good tip because it honestly seemed like the whole place was struggling that night.

It was not surprisingly packed for a Saturday night and I think one or two other families were celebrating birthdays. We started off with Tri Tip Tot-chos and they were deliciously addicting. So much we ended up eating half our dinner and taking the rest home. The tri tip had great flavor to go along with the crispy tots. The boneless ribeyes were so great! Nicely seared on both sides amd seasoned perfect. Tender to the cut and bite. Buckhorn is a restaurant I know I can come to and get great quality steak in a consistent basis. We took our time figuring out what to order and nobody made us feel rushed -- they came back to the table multiple times without any pressure. We were there to celebrate an accomplishment and the atmosphere fit the occasion well. On a previous visit the German potato soup was one of the best I've had, and it's still something I think about. Already planning to come back.

It was early, around 4:00 p.m., and there were only two people dining inside. They agreed and eventually placed two tables together indoors. My thought was, why was this not offered from the beginning, especially given the heat and how empty the restaurant was? The ambiance was great, but unfortunately, the food was not. I ordered a salad with chicken. The salad was very skimpy, with only two thin slices of apple, two small orange slices, very little feta, and mostly lettuce. The chicken portion was extremely small and was served separately on a plate rather than sliced and placed on the salad as ordered. The other dishes were also small and underwhelming. The burger and fries were nothing special, and the spaghetti was plain and lacked flavor. If you are looking for great ambiance, this may be a nice place to visit. But if you are looking for great food, you may want to consider other options. For a great burger, I would recommend Buckhorn instead. It costs less and is much better.

I contemplated also buying honey but figured the hostess already had us covered with charcuterie, ports, olive oil and balsamic vinegars. I didn't catch the name of the man who helped me out, but he was super knowledgeable. I tasted more than a handful of different meads, ranging from bright and sweet to hoppy, to notes of cardamom and pine, to a thick almost port-like consistency, to a dry one. I also noticed one local brand, Strad Meadery represented as well. This wasn't a formal proper sit-down tasting as I was short on time, compared to when I did the actual honey tasting and they had a UC Davis Honey Flavor & Aroma Tasting Wheel to go along with. Ultimately I ended up purchasing a bottle of limited edition Sky River Chamomile Mead (Puget Sound, WA) and a specialty small-batch Monarch Series bottle of SideTrack Meadery's Celebratory Cyser Apple Mead (California Bay Area). Once they opened, we did the honey tasting, and there was an incredible number of honeys that we could taste there were 7 of us and we each tried 14 honeys, 2 nut butters and 2 fruit spreads. I have to say that the tastings are the highlight of this visit because I had no idea what an amazing variety of honey wecultivate here in the Sacramento Valley. Also, my favorite honey was from Hawaii flower that's only grown on the big island... which I had to buy. The honey is insanely expensive, but when you have something that is so unique, it's worth it. After all of that tasting, I thought I was gonna have a diabetic overload, so we went and had our savory lunch. Each one of the seven of us purchased one item and asked for it to be sliced up so that we could all share. I have to say the only item on the menu that I went crazy for was the real Gouda cheese and bacon and peach sandwich. It was absolutely divine. I also really enjoyed the whipped goat cheese with honey although the nectarines on the side should have been sliced up and incorporated so that more bites could contain them. Prices are a little steep, but the atmosphere is lovely. It was a very warm day. We had the misters going. Some people didn't like getting wet, but that's OK. There was other places where you could sit and not get wet. I would definitely come here again with people new to the area to do the tasting that was super fun and I would also like to get a tour of their operation. While they don't actually harvest the honey here they contract with the local, single hive owners and they have an amazing amazing array of honeys. They do all of the packaging injuring of the products here. I was super happy to hear that they partner with the ally in a Sacramento to make their hot honey and some infuse honey's. I love shopping local and this made me super happy farm to forget it's greatest.
