I've been working crazy hours lately and haven't had time to grocery shop or meal prep at all. So this morning at 6:30am I put in an order at Salad N Go on River Road, just planning to grab a salad for lunch. Then I saw their breakfast combo deal (breakfast burro, salad or wrap, and a drink for $10.99) and couldn't pass it up. I ordered the Fiesta breakfast burro and it was SO good. The turkey sausage was fabulous -- I'm not a fan of big chunks of sausage in my burros, and this was a perfect fine crumble. Every bite was balanced. I also got the Green Reviver drink. You can definitely taste the freshly blended fruits and veggies. It had a little viscosity at first, and I wasn't totally sure about it on the first sip... but wow, it grew on me fast. Kind of addicting, actually. For later, I grabbed a Cobb salad with chicken and it was super fresh and flavorful. The avocado slices were generous (which I love) and everything tasted crisp and just-made. I'm eating great today thanks to this combo and will absolutely be back. Stopped in tonight for a salad and a snack box. Aidee was great taking my order, and my order was quickly prepared. I got both with pulled chicken, and I was excited to get home and dive in. I ordered an Asian Salad, and my snack box with a boiled egg and sweet potatoes. The salad itself was delicious, as was the snack box..........with the exception of the pulled chicken. I stopped in around 6pm, so maybe that was the reason for the chicken to be dry and SUPER salty. That was the first thing I noticed was how salty the chicken was. Yum! On a hot AZ day, we needed something cool, quick, and easy for lunch. This really hit the spot. The salad and drink options are good. Everything was cool and fresh. The drive through took a little bit longer but it was still a reasonable amount of time. We got: Ceasar salad with added chicken - this provided the basic salad that you'd expect. Greek salad - filled with fresh plump veggies. The dressing was bright and yummy. Fajita salad wrap - the tortilla on this was dry and therefore it kind of fell apart. But it was still delicious with a nice veggie selection. They do add the dressing to the wrap unlike the salads (which they put on the side of the salads.) So if you want dressing on the side be sure to ask for it. My husband got the regular lemonade, and he really liked that too. I love that you can get a fresh, healthful meal for a reasonable price through a drive through. I wish we had one near us! read more

Wonderful salads, interesting dressings, cool, recyclable, packaging, and very friendly staff. What's not to like? They get you right through the lines and on your way with your salad. Tried the new Tuscan Summer Salad; the pasta was not well cooked. Could have been better.

This location isn't as accurate or as good as the other one I go to (Casa Grande). At various times we have gotten no dressing, NUTS! when we asked and my husband has a fatal allergy!! and today, the blk beans were almost raw! Hard to bite thru.....bummer. My go-to is the Cobb salad (A blend of romaine and field greens, green onions, hard boiled egg, blue cheese crumbles, avocado, tomatoes, and chicken) with ranch instead of blue cheese (120 more calories for the blue cheese dressing). Very convenient meal. I do wish that they would get some lower calorie dressings. My 4-star is because my last visit they gave me an avocado that should never have been served (it was nowhere near being ready to eat). I have a salad at least once a week from Salad and Go, and I thought I had created a favorite until... The Beet Goes On is the MOST DELICIOUS salad I have ever had. The crisp lettuce pairs perfectly with the crunch carrots. There is a perfect balance of sweetness from the dressing and candied pecans and salty from the crumbled feta. That combination alone would have been enough, but when an OBVIOUS GENIUS added beets... the pinnacle was reached. Please do not gate keep this divine creation by making it only seasonally available. I love that this is a fast food option around town. I had the autumn salad, which was delicious. I love that it comes in a container big enough to stir and shake everything to get the dressing perfectly coated. My sister had the Caesar salad wrap, which she enjoyed. The wrap was big and stuffed- it reminded us of a chipotle burrito. The service was friendly and quick. We went through the drive thru so can't speak to the inside of the restaurant. Both of our meals costed about $13, which was mind-blowing to me because it's so much cheaper than I expected it to be- and cheaper than many meals from less healthy fast food places. But if you order there make sure you check your order first because 8 out of 10 times you will get the wrong order. The service is SLOW, i will pull up to the mobile order window and wait 5 minutes before someone comes to the window. Then despite coming after my arrival time often I'm told "we are just putting the order together now". Today they forgot the potatoes in my breakfast bowl and gave me all the wrong salsa.
