1/2 of a combo (Farmers Salad)
    Jamie M.

Came here for lunch while in the area. It was super busy because of lunch; lots of people coming and going with their food. Employees were great with cheery attitude. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with my combo. I got a Tomato Mozzarella Panini (1/2) which they made from the salad ingredients. The bread was toasted with grill marks but the inside items weren't melted or anything. The salad part was okay. I got the Farmers salad (1/2) and subbed apples for Brussel sprouts. The panini took a little longer to come out because the girl accidentally dropped it but immediately made another and brought it out to me at the table.

I arrived at 7:50 to find the store closed and the staff inside cleaning up. Hours say open until 8, this was waste of a 30 min drive!

Chains like this try to hit a niche that pleases enough people that they can make a buck. I've been to many different Saladworks locations and they really do it for me. I like my salads with lots of ingredients and I can load up here with just about anything I want. There are plenty of dressing choices. Most importantly I have never had a problem with freshness. A salad is likely going to cost you $7-$10 but it will be very large. Great place!

    Such a sad Cobb salad.

This has probably been the worst experience and bad tasting salad I've had. I really refrain from having salad in public places because I've gotten sick too many times. Which brings me to say... if you want to get sick, come here. I had a free salad coupon and I thought I would try it since we're new in the area. The place behind the counter and salad bar was so messy and disgusting. Lettuce was just pouring out into other bins. All the bins were messy with ingredients pouring into others. Meats and cheeses mixed in. It was messy. The salad preparing area was disastrous. Bins of lettuce just sitting on top as though they couldn't keep up. Mind you there were 5 people behind the counter. I wish I had taken a picture. I ordered the Cobb. The breaded chicken was gross and tasted of just breading. The lettuce was doused with dressingand the lettuce was in huge pieces making it hard to eat. I dumped my salad in the trash and headed to panera. The end.

My husband is a big fan of Salad Works Turkey Club salad. I have tried a few different options at Salad Works and have really like some and was "meh" about others. The different seasonal options available are usually pretty tasty. This is probably the best location in the Philadelphia area. I encounter 3 locations on a weekly basis and this location has stand up service, friendly employees, and a good location. I have been going to this location when they were 1/2 block down and since the management has changed it's a better Salad Works location. I have had one issue with a fishy tasting tuna salad and it was rectified immediately on my next visit.

Coworker ordered the Farmhouse salad with "glazed pecans". It came with salted walnuts, which she's allergic to.

First time eating here and wasn't quite sure what to expect from this dining and deli spot…read more However, from the moment you step in you get a sense that things are done right and judging by the happy faces of the patrons we were excited to try the food. The menu includes lots of options not found elsewhere but we settled on the classic Benedict served on potato pancakes and the early bird special which was a deal. The poached eggs were perfect while the potato pancakes were a welcomed alternative to the usual English muffin pairing. The potato's that came with the scrambled eggs were fluffy inside, moist, and with a nice crisp exterior--hard to do and the best I've had hands down. The coffee is Ellis - William Penn which was very good. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient even though it got busy after we sat down. The restaurant is clean and modern yet feels homey at the same time--the cutlery is placed on the table in a small white paper bag which reminded me of a scene from the movie "As Good as it Gets" ---very cool. Good to know: seating is self serve with (plenty of) mostly booths and larger tables towards the back and breakfast is served all day!

The "velvet red muffin" had cream cheese and chocolate chips in it. After showing the cashier the actual chocolate chips, she insisted they weren't chocolate chips. After all that, the sandwich was 1/2 the size that it used to be. Getting take out orders correct should be a priority.

I was back in Philly for work and wanted to check out a breakfast/brunch spot that I used to love…read more Unfortunately, things were different this time. FOOD: The breakfast burrito was not good at all. They put huge chunks of raw onions and green peppers in it. I had to pick them all out. They should cut them small and at minimum sweat them down a little. Those are 2 products that should be used sparingly due to their powerful flavor. It was also supposed to have bacon in it, but there were only a few teeny tiny pieces in it. By "few" I mean like 4 bacon bits in the entire burrito. Based on the size and the taste, I think they actually used a jar of those little red salad dressing isle bacon bits. I have a good palate and struggled to even taste the bacon. I even pulled 1 of the 4 bacon bits out and ate it on its own & it tasted like nothing. Unknown if that was because it was so small or because it wasn't real bacon. SERVICE: They sat me at the bar, but I didn't get a server to come greet me for almost 10 minutes. But I do acknowledge it was very very busy so I wasn't too concerned. ** I probably just ordered the wrong menu item. I do not recommend the cowboy burrito. However 9 of the 10 times I've dined there it was a good experience. The place was packed on a Wednesday morning. So obviously people love this place. ____________________________________________________________________ GOOD: Those little Jewish Apple Cakes were the same as they always were. I still enjoyed that.
