I try to give this salad works a chance but it is DISGUSTING if I had a penny for every time I had brown lettuce I'd be rich. They have ONE JOB and it's salads and they can't even do it right! This is my Saladworks of choice when I'm working in the area. I've never been here as early as 11am, so I'm used to a better crew (Props to those guys. Always sincere pleasantries, cleanliness, etc). Today I go in for my usual (make my own) & the young lady skimps on all my toppings. So much so that I had to double up on my last two. Besides the fact tgat every other Saladworks I've been to usually tells you "Two more, one more" (seeing as the person is probably hungry & concentrating on how good this creation is going to be). I've been to many Saladworks from here to Jersey & this was the worst case of "skimping" yet. Granted I'm tall & always hungry when I go here (why else would I be there), I am by no means a pig...athletic in fact. Next, while I'm waiting for said lady to finish skimping on my salad, the other young lady, who was otherwise assisting a similarly tall patron, zooms over to the register & starts asking questions with her head focused elsewhere. The tall guy & I looked at each other, & assuming she was talking to him, he answered "takeout". Then she asked what kind of bread (head still down). Tall guy & I look at each other again, he laughs, & finally she looks up at me & asked the question again. So I said "I didn't know who you were talking to." Just overall bad public relation skills. If it wasn't for the afternoon crew (shout out to those guys), I would've given this place two stars & never gone back. read more

I completely agree with one of the posts below. There is never a manager in here it's always young girls. They're snotty, rude and disrespectful. In the last six months I've probably been her 5 times and every single time the girls have been so rude, I won't be coming back. I went there last night (7/3) at about 6:45/7:00. One of the girls I spoke to on the phone I had to repeat my order multiple times and she still didn't seem to understand. I heard her giggling in the background so I finally asked how many times I'd have to repeat myself. She then got an attitude and when I came in to get my salad she mocked what I had said on the phone. That's TERRIBLE customer service. I wouldn't have said anything to her if I didn't get the idea that she was clearly goofing off and not paying attention to the order I was placing. read more

ironically, i'm laying down another 3-star national chain review for an establishment located directly next door to the previous one i wrote not too long ago (panera). what can i say? the lawrence park strip mall has some decent, albeit generic, eats! i'm picky, so i always go for the create your own salad...and apparently i'm also a creature of habit and always create the same thing: spinach with egg, chickpeas, feta, craisins and sunflower seeds with lite balsamic. trust me, it's quite good! tho last time around it was a little less so as it was mistakenly made with italian dressing instead of my beloved balsamic. cie la vie. i don't come to SW enough to know if this is a new item or if they've had it forever and i'm just slow to notice...but regardless, i wanted to share my latest discovery: sautee soups! saw the sign reading "vegetable medley soup" and was excited to get a cup on the side as it was a rather cold day (in MAY!) i was informed that it was not available in cup size, but alas i was curious (and cold) so went for the whole shebang. this truly was a meal - chunks of broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes and pasta were freshly sauteed before my eyes, then broth was added and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. yum! read more

Stopped in today and got 2 salads. My husband and I both wound up throwing them away. My lettuce was soggy (not from the dressing), and everything had a stale taste to it including the chicken. I'm guessing business has been slow due to COVID, so the food is sitting longer. We were really disappointed. It's been good in the past, so I'm hoping they refresh things soon. read more

This place is extremely cheap on the toppings. Although everything is fresh, you really don't get any bang for your buck here. $10 for lettuce and a sprinkle of this and a dash of that does not cut it for me. If I am ever in here again, I will let the staff know to be a little more generous. read more

Update! They moved and improved . Smaller cleaner brighter! Salad ingredients all looked fresh and service was fast and friendly . Price still high for a salad. I like to put all my own veggy thoughts into my salad , so I am not minding the price. read more

I just ate the Create Your Own salad for lunch. Three words De Li Couis! I had romaine, red peppers, smoked chicken, spicy monterey jack, craisins, zesty tortilla strips, grape tomatoes, egg, and ranch dressing Oow La La, and the whole wheat bread was so fresh and textured. read more

This new (too much) smaller space is a total sh1t-show, and I'm very disappointed. The salads are much more expensive than the same from other Salad Works I frequent, the portions are minuscule, the blaring music too loud, the staff are disinterested and dull, and the interior is a mess. This Saladworks is no longer next to Panera but across the shopping center where the Chinese restaurant used to be. This location is very small. Staff was very friendly, but there were no menus posted so if you have not been to a Saladworks before it might be challenging. Food was OK but there is no seating near the windows so I don't think I would ever opt to eat in here. read more

Meh. Never thought I'd be Yelp reviewing saladworks.. But I was not impressed. I got the soup and salad - tortilla soup and Sophie's salad (my go-to). The soup was awful.. Don't even try it. And as for the salad.. When he asked me if I wanted it mixed together, I assumed that included the lettuce. Right!? Nope just all of the goodies plopped on top. Added: the saladworks near my house cuts the apples so their actually bite sized when I eat my salad.. That would've been cool too... read more

So gross! If I could give zero stars I would!! My mom and I spent $20 on 2 salads that weren't even edible. Salad had old iceberg lettuce- it was completely yellow. Then the chicken had black hard spots in it. Even the basic veggies weren't good. Will never go back! They really went down hill. Don't waste your money here. OK, have eaten at SW in the city, but this was my first GrubHub order. I ordered a chicken caesar salad, soup of the day and a panini for another colleague. The receipt said arrival between 12-12:15. The order arrived at 12:45 and was delivered to the wrong floor (despite citing suite 200). The salad was horrible, older lettuce, no taste whatsoever. Forgot my soup. This place always makes amazing salads and the ingredients are always fresh. The staff there is always friendly and very helpful, especially for people who have never been there before. I always make my own salad and get the Green Goddess dressing. If you've never tried it before, you definitely should! It's delicious and goes with just about anything! The new store may be a bit smaller than the old one, but it's definitely a lot more welcoming when it comes to how it's decorated inside. It's very colorful in the dining room! They also have their own outdoor seating, so that's always a plus during the spring/summer months. All in all, I love this place and I will continue to go there when I get my cravings for salads! read more

This is 100% based on customer service that I received at the Broomall location. Through work, I paid to have a meal sent to the staff of a doctor's office. The office placed the order themselves with my credit card. The computers were down at the office and they were unable to send me a copy of my receipt. I called Saladworks (the Broomall, PA location) and asked the woman that answered the phone if she could email me a copy of my receipt from the order placed earlier. This is the same woman who had called me while they were putting the order together to discuss a substitution (she had helped get it together). She told me that they were unable to do that for me because it would take too long for them to go through the computer. I told her that I knew the time that the order was placed as well as the amount of the bill. I knew that it would be easier to find the receipt with that information. She still gave me excuse after excuse why it would be too much trouble. I was very upset, but I hung up. Because I needed a copy of the receipt for work, I called back. The same woman answered the phone and I asked for the manager. It has now been more than 24 hours and I never received a call back. I am certain that delivery is a decent part of Saladworks business, especially during the current COVID situation. I am so disappointed in how little regard they have for their customers. I have needed to obtain receipts many times in the past and have NEVER had anyone tell me it was too much trouble to help a customer. read more

I used to love this place. Last few times have been disappointing. Wilted iceberg lettuce (replacing Romaine) does not work. Neither do those new take out containers-too small - salad ruined. Skimpy portions not to mention poor attitude of the workers. This customer is long gone- hope they can turn it around. Other stores in the franchise perform at a higher level all around. read more

I am very disappointed in this Saladworks. I used to go there all the time but it seems on my recent visits they have gotten worse. The made a change their menu and the choice and quality of food has gone downhill (my salad had brown lettuce). On top of that portions are so much smaller than before. Usually receive good and quick service on my lunch break. Today the server who assisted me I've never been helped by her before. She was not welcoming, and had the bottom of the mixing pan rubbing all over the plate with my lettuce. Quite unsanitary I must say! Once she was done, she then threw the mixing pan into something on the ground(a containing I assume). this is a VERY BIG salad works. i rarely see it half full and surprised it's been around for so long. besides being a spacious location, it is also clean and quiet, good for a meal by yourself or with a friend. you can have a nice conversation without having to compete with the people next to you. the salad runs about 7-10 dollars which is a bit pricey for vegetable. but considering it's health benefits when comparing to the nearby wendys, arbys, popeyes, etc....it's a good meal. you dont leave feeling heavy but satisfied and healthy. i've been here 3 times already and will continue to come here from time to time. yay for salads! read more

Placed an order online at 2pm, said it would be delivered around 3:45. I waited until 4:15 to call and check on the order. The first person to answer the phone was rude, and then the manager picked up the phone and rudely told me that they never got my order and that they only deliver until 2pm and that it has to be above $25. Well my order was way above $25 and I understand that they only deliver until 2pm, but there was no notification of this on the website. My order went through perfectly fine online, got a conformation and everything. I then asked the manager why no one had called me to let me know this two hours prior when I placed the order. His answer was, our system is down for online orders. UM HELLO? Shouldn't that be noted on the website so people know to call? To sum it up, I had to deal with two extremely rude people, and never got lunch. Awesome. read more

I've been eating at this Saladworks twice a week for a few years now and, obviously, I'm a big fan of the place. I've never had a bad meal and never been treated badly by any of the employees. Their Maryland Crab soup is absolutely the best, their Turkey Club salad is always top-notch and the people couldn't be nicer. Since they moved across the parking lot basically next to Popeye's chicken, this place stinks! They are so stingy on the toppings and for that money for a salad, I expect more. First of all, why move to such a tiny location with approx. 7 tables for seating??? There is never anywhere to sit! 2nd. They took away the fresh brewed iced tea and now the fountain soda machine!! 3rd, the salads are expensive, they very rarely offer coupons or text coupons anymore and when you do go in for a salad, you get lettuce and a sprinkle of ingredients on top. A sprinkle for that price is not going to keep me coming back! The chicken most times looks old and left over. You never know if you are going to get a good, satisfying salad with nice size portions or old browning lettuce with 2 day old chicken, which you only get 2-3 small pieces of anyway.
