I picked up an order placed online this past week. 4 toppings were missing, including my sons chicken, a few other items were also wrong or not done correctly. I called the store, someone answered and then hung up on me and didn't bother to answer when I called back. Most people would just post a bad review online but I have worked in the restaurant industry so I decided to give them an opportunity to make things right. As a broke college kid, paying $10+ for a salad is ridiculous. But as an adult, it's another story. Got the large salad, added chicken and avocado and it ended up being like $12? I love a good salad place and this one is definitely good. When you go in, you can get in line and choose what you want in your salad. First, is the size. They have small, regular, or a wrap. I would recommend a small because that itself is already a lot. Mixed salata or spring salad. They have all kinds of toppings. For me, I got corn, Mandarin oranges, cranberries, carrots, croutons, mixed seafood, chipotle chicken, cabbages, and these tiny sprouts. I also got a bread roll and tomato basil soup. You can choose from tomato basil or broccoli soup. I chose chipotle sauce on my salad. I enjoyed my salad, veggies were crunchy and the seafood was fresh. I was not a fan of the chipotle chicken. I thought it was a little hard. I didn't quite enjoy it. The chipotle sauce gave the salad a nice spice. They had 3 people doing the salad and one person at the register. I came during lunch so there was a lot of people. The line was moving quite slow. They definitely need more people working. I thought it took too long to get a salad since you just have to put the toppings in the bowl. It's a self-served place minus the salad. After you pay, you can go get your drink, silverwares and get a table. Afterward, you can dump your trash and leave the tray kind of like a fast food place. Total price was about $14. read more

Salata is my go to salad place. I get a small veggie salad everytime I go and it's big enough to last me for lunch and dinner. I never order the meat just because its cut up like cubes and that's visually unattractive to me for some reason, also the one time I tried the meat, it wasnt good. If you ask politely to add a little more of a particular veggie or fruit, they usually do without charge. This used to be my favorite location hands down! since they've reopened I've noticed changes and not positive ones. Seen some new faces and very few of the old one. The staff is courteous as always, but the quality of the product has decreased. I like romaine lettuce and more and more I've been served the lactucarium (White part of the lettuce) when the green leafy part is where most nutrients are found. Romaine lettuce isn't supposed to be THIS crunchy. But it's been these past few visits. What made me decide never to return to this location is when I asked for an extra bag of pita chips. I was told it was $1 extra. I have no issues with that, but the amount of the chips was LUDICROUS for an extra $1. Still love salata, but will not be returning to this location. read more

Love this location! I come here almost every Friday for a lunch out of the office. The restaurant is always cleans and the staff is always nice! night at approximately 7:30pm, 7/22/23 Saturday, at 10898 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77042 I arrived at Salata hoping to relax and enjoy my dinner after a long day. Instead, it was absolutely disgusting!! The boy that was preparing my salad that was eventually made into a wrap was EXTREMELY RUDE!! I do not know his name (he was in his teens or early 20s, black, very tall, thin, thick dark wavy hair, and round glasses) but it won't be hard to find out. I was very polite to him and his attitude and body language was horrible!!! When I asked him a question about the ingredients in the food he just rolled his eyes like it was a major inconvenience for him. When I communicated to him that I would please like some carrots, onions and tomatoes he took the ingredients and just "threw" them into the bowl rolling his eyes with his body slouched over, like he was throwing out the garbage. Just plain rude!! On top of this, when I stood up to leave, David, another employee working the salad bar ( young, Hispanic, dark hair, light skinned) took his hand and put it directly into a protien bin and then put the food in his mouth. He then walks over to the trash and throws the remainder of what's in his hand into the trash can. He is doing this with customers staring at him. I'm really excited Salata opened up right across from my office. I love this place and have been here multiple times already. The staff is all very friendly, they are quick (the line does get backed up around lunch time but they do a good job to move it along), and they have everything you could ever want for a salad. I love that you can choose everything/anything to add onto your salad and it is one set price. If I were to get this same salad at the Whole Foods across the street it would probably be about $10-12, so at Salata I actually come out ahead ($9). While I know that's pretty pricey for a salad, it's definitely worth it. The ingredients are all fresh and they really do have everything you could ever want on a salad.
