wrap

The food is good, but it's very expensive! I did feel as if I had enough to eat.. and probably because I added so much to my wrap! You don't get a lot of protein. The protein is 3-5 dollars and if you ask for extra, it will be an extra 3-5 dollars my food *just the sandwich* was 17.00 the drink is separate

Today, September 12th 2023 about 8:00 p.m. or so I just came back from the same location which I probably would not go back ever again to that one if I can help it. So I went in today and the girls were nice Got my large salad and we are laughing and smiling back and forth about the toppings, so I get to the register (I do check in on Yelp) and when you check in sometime you receive free coupons.  So today I tried to use my free protein that salata has put on Yelp for customers to use; I'm in front of the girl and I literally push redeem now and she said we Don't take it. The confused looked on my face was priceless I asked her why not I've used it before? I told her It's Yelp You get a free protein when you check in check-in. So another girl comes over and I tell her and they kept saying It's not this location, I told her This is the one that I mostly come to because it's on the way from work. So when I check in sometimes I get a free protein. Basically they kept telling me no.  I asked her if there was a manager there she said no. I asked Can I have the manager name and number? She said she can't give that out but I can write your information. I said well what's corporate's number She didn't know that either. She said I've been here 5 months, I said well if you been here 5 months you should know this information already. So that's going on back and forth. Then I proceed to say well Can you make me another salad? I'm not going to take it when I can't have a free protein. So another lady maybe the lead I'm not sure comes in from the back and asks what's going on. Is everything okay? I told her no!  I told her I have a free protein from Yelp that I can use. Then she says we can't use that It doesn't have our logo. I told her ma'am this is Yelp I literally went back to the main screen of Yelp and showed her This is Yelp. When you click on it it has salata right here and it says One free protein. You push redeem now  the timer goes down like a countdown; and it says show to an employee or a owner to redeem. I told her This is what you get when you check in. So then she says I'm going to give it to you because I don't want anybody to leave mad. I'm just going to take a picture and send it to my manager. I said Okay so she calls her manager and I'm assuming the manager said Yes We do take it because she said Okay. Yes we do and I told her I know because I've used one before. Then what I'm mostly pissed about is that I have "had" a reward of $7. She's the one that comes out to call the manager or the lead lady. Not sure what she is; tells me my total and proceeds to put the $7 while my card is in there. So what does it do? Takes the $7 off! All I could do was pause and put my head down because I didn't want to go off. I said Did I ask you or did I tell you that I wanted to use my $7 reward? She says no I'm sorry I'm Sorry- sorry is not going to get it when I didn't tell you to use it. My reward didn't expire till "well" Did expire in November. I wanted to wait to November now I don't have a $7 reward. I don't know if she tried to reverse it or whatever but it already took it out because my card was already in there but I never told her to use it. I would like my reward back and for this location to do better.  It's your location 9050 West Sam Houston North suite 100 Houston, Texas 77064

The food was okay (it's a salad). I went at lunch time and it wasn't very busy. That said, service wasn't an issue. However, the reason for a 1 star is because I got sick a day after. So, I suspect that something was wrong with the way food safety or hygiene was handled at the time. Furthermore, I thought the meal was quite expensive for what was offered.

I love coming here for lunch and picking out my own salad! The ingredients are fresh and appetizing. Base salad price starts at $7 for small and $8 for regular. I like mixing spinach, kale, romaine and the spring mix together. They have tons of add-ons including bell peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, edamame, snow peas, beets, beans, olives, and fruits. Each item is clearly labeled with a name, calories and price if it costs extra. Some items that cost extra include: meat (seafood, turkey, chicken), tofu, falafel, quinoa, and avocado. My salad varies from $11-$12, but it's very filling and satisfying. Bread is also included with the salad and the multigrain croissant is delicious! Parking lot is small and gets crowded at peak lunch time. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Casual and quick, the format is essentially a "Subway" for salads. You work your way down the assembly line picking from over 50 options of roughage, vegetables, dressings, proteins and other accoutrements. The venue itself has indoor seating and shares an outdoor, uncovered patio with Chipotle (next door). It's a quick stop and nutritious, if you pick right. Give them a try.

My large salad with herb marinated chicken
Mike M.

This was my first visit to any Salata for lunch today. All I knew was that is specialized in salad and wasn't a buffet like Sweet Tomatoes. My first choice was the size of my salad with a small for $7 or a regular for $8. Of course I went with the larger of the two and then requested what type of lettuce and fruits and vegetables, salad dressing, croutons, etc. to be added. When I came to the meat section, I decided to add the herb marinated chicken for $3 more and then saw the one scoop of it added to my meal. Not adding any other extra cost items, I checked out adding a soft drink and with tax it was $14 and change. After filling my drink cup at the self serve station and finding a seat, I notice that my total salad was quite large. Mental note to myself is next time go with the small even though it only saves $1. The salad was good in taste and like I said plenty big enough. The $3 of diced chicken was somewhat lost in the overall salad and I don't think I would order it again. My main problem with the meal was that my total cost was over $14 for a large salad and drink. If I return, it will be to cut out the meat to save that $3 at least. And maybe go with the small size but even then, I think this chain is overpriced. I will give an overall of 3 but may not return for lack of value.

I love salads. I love it more when you can select all of your ingredients including different types of lettuce mixes. My only issue is the small and large salads only differ by $1. Why get a small...seems like a waste. Also, the staff seemed very confused when I showed them the yelp reward for a free protein. Ultimately it was honored.

They have good salads and wraps. I've never had to pay for my food there, though. It's literally stuff you can make at your own home.

Upon arriving, every table was taken except our table w a reserved sign on it. The restaurant was bustling, but I could still hear my husband over the music and noise. The menu is huge!!! I didn't know where to start. But our server, Vanessa, helped us make a few choices. We started off w bánh xèo tostadas, bánh béo, & carpaccio. Then we had calamari and their steak special. I asked for a side of papaya slaw for some veggies. My favorite dish of the night was the carpaccio. So many flavors perfectly melded together. Loved the crunch of the fried onions and peanuts. 10/10 dish, in my opinion. Authentic banh xèo usually has an airier, crisp crepe, but theirs was more crunchy - great for their tostada take. Very flavorful. Each piece had one shrimp, but plenty of pork belly bites. The nuoc mam drizzled on it was tasty. Fried calamari - this is a big dish for, I believe, $'19. I prefer the dipping sauce on the side so that the batter doesn't get soggy. This did happen here, but it didn't stop us from finishing every last bite. The green sauce was good, not the usual dipping sauce for fried calamari. Steak special - they have another steak dish on their menu, but this one was pepper crusted w smashed potatoes. The potatoes were super crispy and flavorful and the steak was perfectly cooked - a beautiful pink medium rare. The portion was huge and justified the $39 price point. The staple steak dish came with a papaya slaw and I had to have it. It was bright and limey - I can see why they serve it with their steak. Bánh beo - my least favorite of the night. A bit thicker than I like. Still good, but there were a lot of other great dishes that I could easily pass on this one. Try their hibiscus artichoke tea.

We got there 15 minutes before to make sure we could find parking. They have a small lot but all the spaces were taken despite being before 6 pm on a weekday. And a few spots had noticeable broken glass so be careful. We fortunately found street parking close by; double checked the signs because I ain't getting towed for nothing. Then I double checked inside with staff to make sure where I parked was ok. On to the food: we got several happy hour appetizer items: soy garlic wings, Brussels sprouts, bao bun, roasted oysters. All was good but not amazing. I then ordered the pho tai chinh for myself - I was quite impressed with the portions and the price! Wifey got the lemongrass pork banh mi - good but not amazing. Overall I would say the food taste and portions were good, but note this is elevated Asian cuisine, so it'll run you $20-$30 minimum. Now the service - definitely super friendly staff. It was our first time there so maybe they brought out the extra friendliness. Even the chef came out and greeted us to make sure we liked the food. Waitress was very kind and checked on our table a LOT. Almost too much. Overall a good experience, yummy food, not a fan of the parking (a common problem in the Heights), and expensive for Asian food but that's expected. Enjoy!

Wow! Just... wow…read more Loved this place from the moment I walked in! Ambiance was super fun and welcoming. The tubs of ice filled with cold drinks all around as you approach the counter was casual and fun. And the staff was welcoming and friendly. The menu had so much variety, without being overwhelming. Anything from a good pazole, to a brisket Rueben, to an American Italian sandwich! I got the báhn mì sandwich, which was bursting with flavor! The pork was seasoned well and had good flavor from the marinade. The cilantro, pickled onions, jalapeno, all were so fresh and vibrant! And I was able to get homemade chips and fresh strawberries as my side - such a refreshing bite the strawberries after a rich, porky, spicy bite from the sandwich. Can't say enough good! A big part of the decades long success at Local Foods has been their commitment to consistency…read more Their casual setting with excellent service is one thing, but quality executed food that is simple and seasonal will always go a long way. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
