It's pricey but worth it. The salads are always super fresh. The Harvest salad is my typical go to. It doesn't even need any dressing!

I never have been treated as we were here. to start, we had a party of 6 & we walked in to a restaurant with at least 30 open tables. we were told by the OWNER of the restaurant that they are on wait because the kitchen is in the weeds. she told us to continue to wait (by standing instead of having a table or having the space to accommodate standing patrons). she would rather tell my pregnant wife & her mother to stand for 20-30 minutes instead of finding us our table & letting us wait for the kitchen to catch up. I told her we can go somewhere else & she seemed to be perfectly fine with it. I'm not usually one to complain about something so much but the lady showed absolutely no passion for her restaurant. I wouldn't go here if I was paid to because she clearly doesn't care about the business that provides for her. IF YOU WANT A NICE EXPERIENCE FROM SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT THEIR GUESTS, GO ANYWHERE ELSE. WE WENT TO LOCO CANTINA & MET THE OWNER MIGUEL, HAD AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH A STAFF THAT WAS IN SUCH A GOOD MOOD THEY JOKED WITH US. :)

It's a small "mom & pop" restaurant with the owners taking orders, cooking everything up, and delivering hot food from the kitchen. Our group of 13 ordered a mix of their menu offerings; I had the pan fried dumplings, which was a healthy portion of 10 and can be a great sharing appetizer. Then I had the Jajangmyeon, which is fermented black beans with pork, vegetables and udon style noodles and my wife had the shrimp tempura lunch box entree which was a great assortment. Our friends got various hearty soups as well as the super heated hot stone bowl to keep us all warm on a cold day. Several of our friends tried different hearty soups, one had the hot stone bowl entree and the food was sizzling in the super hot bowl. As I said, this is a classic "mom & pop" restaurant where the owners greet you and get you a table, then they take orders, cook the food in their kitchen and bring it all out to the table! They were always checking to see if we needed drink refills or anything else to go with our lunch. I am so glad we tried this place and will be back as they have so many interesting things we want to try on future visits! Before leaving, I used the restroom and it was spotless as was the kitchen as I walked by and thanked the owner chef. The restaurant is on 1960 at Timber Forest and has plenty of parking in the well lighted parking lot.

I ordered the hot stone mixed rice and it was yummy. I did notice it wasn't as spicy as I am used to so I asked for more of the hot pepper paste. The paste itself is what wasn't super hot but it was still good. Food was also served quickly so I appreciate that. I also ordered a dish to go. The black bean noodles were slightly less flavorful than what we are used to but they were still good. The main drawback though is they did not give any side dishes for the to go item which is interesting. You don't pay less for it and I'm not sure why it wasn't included. I've never had Korean takeout where they did not include any side dishes on a to go order. All in all, the first visit was more a 3.5 but out of good faith, we will call it a 4 star. They did seem to cater to many regulars so it's possible the dishes are toned down for locals? Not sure though. Again, food was good but as someone who is part Korean, the dishes were not as flavorful as I am used to. I would likely eat here again but not sure this would really satisfy the craving for Korean dishes specifically.

It felt like being kids again, sharing a simple, family-friendly meal and having fun together on our date. The breadsticks were delicious once they arrived, the salad was fresh, and the soup was comforting. I do wish my first round of soup had come out warmer, and the breadsticks in that first round were a little stale. It also took a while for some of our items to arrive, and definitely don't order the water. I love water, but they serve it from the tap and it was pretty unpleasant. I ended up ordering sparkling water on the side instead. On the plus side, I tried a cappuccino and it was quite delicious. This isn't top fine dining, but the overall experience was still really enjoyable. The staff were fantastic, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the nostalgia factor makes it a fun and comforting place to visit. I would definitely go back for another simple, cozy, and nostalgic meal.

My husband and I decided to share the grilled chicken margarita, but unfortunately, it wasn't to my liking--the chicken was a bit dry and there wasn't much pesto. Overall, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, which added to the experience.

We try to support local Kingwood are restaurants and hadn't been to Union Kitchen in quite a while. We arrived and asked for a table for 6, the dining room was busy so they said it would be a few minutes. Then 3 more of our group we hadn't expected arrived and the hostess quickly let the servers know to make our table larger. We only had to wait 8 or 9 minutes and were seated in the side dining room which was great as it was not crowded so it was easy to talk without a lot of ambient noise from the more crowded main room. I believe one of the assistant managers began taking drink orders as our designated server was finishing up some tables nearby. She had a great sense of humor and quickly went to get our drinks. FYI, they have both an All Day menu and a lunch special one which we hadn't seen before a their website so that is an option and is a bit less expensive with smaller servings than the All Day one. As it was April 15, they had a special small Tax Day menu where everything was prices at $4.15! What a cute idea! We all ordered our lunches and soon we were enjoying what was brought out. I had the special lentil soup and the blackened salmon tacos, my wife had the 1/2 lb classic burger and the house made potato chips. Everything was excellent. Glad we stopped by for our group lunch.

We saw it online and loved the vast menu selection so we thought we'd give it a try. From the exterior, it doesn't look like much almost looks like you could be walking into a craft store or a boot barn cause it's just in a shopping mall strip center. But once you enter inside, the dark wood, the wine bottles, the lighting all creates a very nice ambience of an upscale restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. We were just grabbing a bite to eat before a movie and this place turned out to be much nicer than me. I previously anticipated. We decided to order off of the Happy Hour menu so that we could try several things. We got the queso dip of course...because, when in Texas...We also got the crabcakes and a cheeseburger with truffle fries. They had some great drink specials, but we got ice tea instead. That was plenty of food for two of us to share. Out of the three items that we ordered off the Happy Hour menu, I would say the cheesburger was the best! The bun was small enough to not be overwhelming and the meat had a very nice barbecue taste. The crabcakes were OK as was the queso. Our waiter gave excellent service! Can't remember his name, but he was tall and I believe had dirty blonde hair. The entire meal was super yummy with excellent service and convenient. Couldn't ask for more. We definitely recommend this place. We wanted to get beignets for dessert, but we were too full to order anything else. Oh and if you go at Happy Hour, even if you're not drinking, everything on the Happy Hour menu is 50% off. Check it out!
