Hair in Food!!!! Poor Customer Service and major Health Code issues. This location needs major HELP! Several issues over the last week. I normally order ahead and still have to wait until all employees are ready to address the Togo customers. Then wait to have my and other customers to go order made. After waiting for customers who came in much after the fact. Salad was prepared wrong on another day. Repeatedly told, "I understand" from employees with clearly an attitude. The last visit, there was someone at the prep table behind the register. Thought they were getting better after speaking with a "manager." Today was my last straw. Waited over 30 minutes for an order that was placed in advance. While waiting I still had to wait on customers that were in the line after being there 30 mins. I mentioned it to the staff, and she stated, "she understood the wait is an issue" when she clearly cared less. But as soon as I made it home. I went here today because I heard sooo many great things about this place, so tonight was my first time. Let me just begin to tell you how this visit went. I walked in to get a salad to-go around 8:48 pm and the store closed at 9! I was never greeted upon my entry of the restaurant. So it's my turn to begin ordering and the teenager who was making my salad did not seem interested in making salads at all! The first thing I noticed was the lack of salad left. I asked her if they had more she said no we're closing in like five minutes. I calmly corrected her to inform her they had about ten minutes left. Next, I begin filling in my salad bowl with toppings. Then I notice a group of five people walk in behind me and what does Salata do? They pull out fresh salad! I leave it alone since I knew it was getting late. I then ask the teenager helping me if I could have some bread to go along with my salad! She looks at her manager from a far to see if she's looking and grabs my bread WITH HER BARE HANDS! I don't know this young lady and and she assumed I wouldn't mind I guess from my friendliness. A regular salad is $8 I believe and there's an extra charge for protein. I went with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, pineapple, mandarin oranges, bacon, croutons, and mango dressing. All the dressing is homemade and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. In addition to salad, they have some other options including wraps, bread, and soup. They also have a nice selection of tea and lemonade. A nice and healthy meal that's a nice change of pace in the land of BBQ, steaks, and Tex-Mex. I absolutely love salata's but the pearland locations is definitely UNDER STAFFED! It's ridiculous that I came in at 6 pm and there's is only 2 people working at the salad bar on different occasions. This place is delicious! I have been anticipating their opening for quite some time. Needless to say me and my best friend both love this place and will be coming here quite often. If you're not familiar with this chain, they sell salads and wraps. You walk in and tell them which you want. Then they start with what kind of lettuce mixes you want. You are able to mix the lettuces. They place it in a bowl. Next you choose as many toppings as you would like. There are several toppings. All ranging from fruit, veggies, cheeses, beans, and nuts. All of this goes in your salad for one set cost. Then for an added cost you have different proteins to choose from (if you decide to put meat in it, because you can do veggie option). Then they have a few additional items you can add in toppings wise for extra cost as well i.e. Avacado slices. Their dressings are all so yummy and homemade. I believe they're available for purchase to take home. THE ONLY thing I want them to do differently is toast the bread they give you at the end. It looks tasty, but needs to be toasted as an option, so I can spread my melted butter on it! Lol So this is the sum up of this place. I hope you love it as much as my friend and I do. THIS IS LITERALLY THE WORST SALATA LOCATION EVER. The reviews are as accurate as can be. Do not order from here. I actually hope this location eventually goes out of business or gets new management. I ordered delivery from this location directly through the app for the third time today around 5:29. Unfortunately this is the only Salata for delivery closest to where I usually am, which is the only reason I even ordered from here in the first place. Of the three times that I have ordered delivery from this location in the last few months, 2/3 times they did not have kale. If you don't have adequate supply, common sense would be to halt delivery options instead of wasting people's time. I placed an order today and of course a few minutes later at 5:34pm, I have a Door Dasher calling me to say that Salata stated that they don't have kale. This is after receiving that generic kickback text Salata at 5:32 that Salata sends after ordering. I asked for my order to be canceled. The dasher then sends me a text at 5:36 saying I need to contact DoorDash to cancel the order. I attempt to text the Dasher back with no luck and then end up calling the location directly at 5:41 to tell them to cancel the order. The first girl that answered the phone didn't know what she was doing. She then put me on the phone with a girl named Ashley who claimed to be the manager. She said she could not cancel it and that I would have to call DoorDash which is an absolute lie because I have had this same issue with this specific Salata before. She then tries to get smart and tell me how DoorDash is a different company and blah blah blah, as if this was my first rodeo ordering with Salata and DoorDash. I order delivery nearly everyday so I had to laugh, hang up, and come straight to Yelp about this sorry Salata location. At 5:54 I get another text saying that the order has been canceled. However, no cancellation confirmation email was sent. I then get another text at 6:00 saying that my order is being delivered at 6:38. I called DoorDash at 6:03 and the agent stated that the order had been canceled, and asked was I trying to cancel my other one too. Of course at this point I am furious with Salata, because why TF would you charge me again with not authorization from me and make the exact order that I just asked to be canceled?! The DoorDash agent made sure to cancel the other but it's the principle here. (FYI Salata uses a delivery partner which is DoorDash even when you order directly through the Salata app. Therefore no order is going to show up in the DoorDash app from Salata unless you directly order through DoorDash!) read more

I asked to make sure that it was meant to look this way, and the preparer said she would charge me for a small which was $1 cheaper. I skip and entire section and get a few other items and it is not compensated for when it comes to the protein (as stated by someone who works in Corporate). I shouldn't be forced to get things I don't want in order to have a full salad. I forgot to mention having to wait about 3-4 for someone to come over to help me when I got there. There were at LEAST 4 people there. One girl doing something with the tea at the drink station, another using a clipboard writing something from one of the computers in the front, and the others were in the back. Other customers came in after me so the girl doing the tea finally came over to make the salads and she made them all at once. So I'm pretty quick bc I know what I want, don't really get much, but it was like I was tied to the other customers that came in behind me. Once we got to the end (right before mixing) the older lady came from the back telling the girl 'why didnGeesh, I'm done you call me'. I received a email asking me the location because I posted the review directly to the Salata website... it's been 2 weeks and I've heard absolutely nothing from the manager at this store and mind you the same rude lady is working there. I seen her and turned around and walked out simply because I wasn't in the mood for horrible customer service and they had a line with about 5 customers moving super slow.. After calling establishment to complain, they only offered me a refund and said they take precautions daily to ensure food quality. Well, not this time. Is it just me or do other people get sick from eating Salata? I don't know if its the vegetables or the toppings but something NEVER tastes right. There's a certain smell that makes my stomach churn. Is anyone else having this issue? One of my friends recently had food poisoning TWICE from eating their soup. My other friend and his mother fell ill as well after eating Salata. I just left this Salata location and was truly disgusted at what occurred. As I was going through the line making my selections, the lady making my salads cell phone rang. She proceeded to stop making my salads and grabs her dirty cell phone out of her pocket with gloves on. She checks her message on her phone, then proceeds to try to make my salads with the same gloves on.....GROSS! I just left this location and was appalled to learn that they're not enforcing customers to wear masks by refusing entry into the establishment without one.. A customer was seen by myself and another customer leaning over the glass point her finger at the assortments of fruits and vegetables also while speaking without a mask on.. I gave the staff an opportunity to correct her behavior before I addressed her myself and the staff did nothing. I've always questioned the cleanliness of this establishment but today was deplorable.. Went in this afternoon to pick up my order, and asked for 1 additional dressing as I had ordered a large salad. The cashier informed me it costs extra. So if I could have eaten inside the restaurant, I would have gotten extra at no cost. They use very small dressing containers and there is very little in them. Salata itself, is a great concept. I love it. Since last Friday, I've been there maybe 5 times picking up 2 meals each time I go. This particular location isn't the greatest. The staff is kind of rude, if you ask them a question, they roll their eyes or just point at the name of the vegetable. Because I had been coming so frequently, one of the staffers suggested I order online and I could just pick it up. Cool! Great idea. The next day I try it and arrive at 1:15p for an order ready for pickup at 1:30p and they have no idea I even placed an order! They start scrambling around for 20 minutes not even telling me they are having difficulty with the system. They finally get their computer system up and get the meals ready. I get back to work to find out both orders are wrong and things have been left off and one of the wraps have the wrong tortilla. In this line of work mistakes cannot be made because lots of people have food allergies. Needless to say, I wasted 30 mins and $20 on food I couldn't even eat. read more

I have typically frequented this location at least one a week for lunch since July. This was the first Salata I ever visited and was initially very impressed with my meal and portion size. I have since been to many other locations in the Houston area and also been impressed. However, after today, I will not be returning to this location. Over the last few months I have noticed this location becoming more and more stingy with toppings, portions, etc. I arrived at 1:15 and was told they were already out of three toppings, and then acted annoyed when I asked if I could wait for more to be brought out. Since they did not have three toppings, I asked for extra of two items they did have (only fair) and my request was met with rolled eyes. In hindsight I should have walked out right there. However, I continued along with my order and made it down to the protein section. I visit here enough to know you are supposed to receive two scoops of protein with a regular salad. But, I received maybe a half a scoop of protein today. I told the worker that I was supposed to receive two scoops, but was met with another eye roll and was told the "portion sizes changed". This doesn't seem correct to me, since a customer right in front of me had a small salad and received one whole scoop from the same utensil. If I am paying more for a regular, how is my portion size smaller? Overall, Salata has tasty menu items, but please take your business to another location.
