I see Ana here. As a matter of fact, my entire family does. No joke, mother in law, sister in law, and now myself. She rents her own station, so I can only comment on her services. But the salon in general is good with helping her set her appointments and her calendar. She is busy. She works like 4x a week and sets her own schedule. She typically does a 3/4 highlights and cut for a reasonable price, so I never question what she does. Ana just works her magic. Parking can be tough on the weekends to get here because it is a small downtown that is frequented a lot. If possible, go on a week day or weeknight. Salon is airy, clean, and friendly. I highly commend her service from explaining to me the difference between colored balayage versus bleaching, and what will look best on my hair color and type. She even took the extra step to evaluate my hair and what my expectations were (essentially a pre consultation via text message), and was very transparent and honest in what the end results would look like. Before I decided to do the keratin treatment, I wanted to make SURE that it would work on MY hair : Frizzy + wavy + coarse + very thick = every beautician's nightmare. My consultation was with Anna. Anna took a look at my hair, felt it out and said she could definitely do the keratin treatment to make my hair more "manageable". With that being said, she made sure to point out it would NOT be frizzy, but NOT super straight. That's what I wanted. Natural looking, manageable, NON frizzy, non lion king hair. As Anna started the process I noticed she was applying the lotion on my hair very lightly, and sparse.. sorta like she was trying to skimp on what i was paying $200.00 for. I have had my hair rebounded in the past, and I know that with my hair, you have to use a lot of product because it is thick and coarse and you have to work the chemicals into the cuticle. Fast forward to 3 hours. My hair came out amazing! It was shiny, STRAIGHT, but I could not wash it for three days. On the second day i noticed that the back of my hair around the crown was getting very kinky and wavy. Mind you, I have made every attempt to sleep still, did not pull my back up, and even flat ironed my hair in the mornings to make sure it kept its straight shape. On the third day i was so excited to see how my hair would turn out...and to my surprise... it turned out exactly how I walked into the salon.. Frizzy! wavy and ugh. I went back to Anna for my follow up hair cut... I was so disappointed because the treatment did not work for me. So i had her cut my hair .. I'm not sure what kind of shape she was trying to do, but as you can see from my photo's its some sort of triangular- what the hell? Thank God I was able to find someone with MORE knowledge and experience to fix her mess. Never coming back here again. read more

Anna, the owner, consulted with me over the phone the day before I had a haircut and gave me prices on the work I needed done. I met her the following day and had another consultation and reassurance. I say reassurance because of the drastic change I was planning. She wanted to make sure that it is what I wanted to do (no crying over spilled milk). So several minutes later, she worked her razor and scissors and created a masterpiece. There are plenty of free private parking behind the salon and free 2-hour street parking. The place is spacious and airy with a pleasant atmosphere- physically and people-wise. I wanted to go to a place that was no frills but also was good with naturally curly hair. I looked into this place and saw that they had great reviews, so I decided to make an appointment. When I got to my appointment Lady T was the one who helped me. Let me tell you, I don't think I could have found anyone better to work on my hair better than her.
