Went in for a magic perm + cut since over call she told me it'll be $250. The perm procedure took place (slightly different from the traditional, normal straight perm process since she did the neutralizer step while my hair was soaking wet dipped in their washbowl.) She also cut my wet hair while it was still soaking wet immediately after rinsing my hair post the breaking bonds step, instead of blow drying and flat ironing it (other places cuts ur hair while its dry). After she blow dried my hair after the final rinse, she charged me $270, different from the price she gave me at the start of the process saying "haircut itself is like +$30." I won't ever be returning due to this scammy malpractice *** update below: I told her that I prefer English but doesn't mean my Korean sucks which would cause miscommunication in the pricing. I was never communicated in either Korean or English that the price was an estimate, I was given a solid price no range or the word "about" was used during the call. I was never informed before the service that there would be extra steps in the service due to my hair condition - this should have been communicated before so I can decide whether or not I'd be able to pay the extra $20, instead of receiving upcharge price after all those additional "steps & curls" which I never asked for. The curls could have been done with a curling iron myself after the cut + perm, I never asked for permanent curls. I never had a single bad of this experience at any hair salon. I am honestly hoping for a hair undo and refund/my money back if possible

I found Salon Amerige because my then-stylist Celyna moves there from SuperCuts. With my busy work schedule, we couldn't set an appointment so she recommended another stylist named Mandy. She's an absolute godsend for those who are 'particular' when it comes to their hair stylist. She'll absolutely work with you to deliver what you have in mind for your cut. I've had four (4) stylists the last 8+ years, refusing to play stylist roulette, with Mandy looking like the new placeholder (ha!) Point being - guy or girl, Mandy & Celyna are the stylists I'd recommend at this salon. Instead of an awkward 30+ minute session of a stranger touching my head last night, my haircut with Mandy felt like a scalp massage and mild therapy session. I was in the area the other day and saw this cute salon. I'd been going to another salon for a while and paid about the same price for haircuts but this one was closer to me so I thought I'd give it a try (plus the 50% off for first time clients which is nice). I got my hair done by Shelby and she seemed nice. I explained to her what I wanted and honestly, it wasn't what I really wanted. For the price that I paid, it was just dull and uneven in some areas. I didn't say much because she seemed like a nice young lady but I was a little disappointed with the cut I received. I figured that if I was going to come back and pay the normal amount, I'd be getting the same quality and experience but I guess not. just got home from my appt with lorraine and I'm super happy with the way my hair looks!!! i called last night a little after 8 (which is when they close) and enzo answered the phone and was super polite and made my appt for exactly when i wanted it this morning. when i walked in i felt super welcomed and was taken to the chair right away. i had no idea how i wanted my hair cut but she showed me pictures and gave me ideas until we came up with a style i wanted. the shampoo was amazing and she started off slow with the length she took off and then worked up so she didn't take too much off at once. overall i am extremely pleased with the whole place and will definitely be making appts with lorraine in the future! read more

I came to Salon Amerige a year ago on the 50% off 1st time client special and have become a loyal patron since. My stylist is Enzo. He is always nice and does magic on my hair. He has been doing hair for 20 years, so he deffinatley knows what he is doing. He is very knowledgeable and informative, I have deffinatley learned the do 's and dont's with my hair and products I thought were good but were really damaging.He completely transformed my hair. Demi is the girl to make an appointment with if you're picky about how your hair will be cut/styled. My layers were growing out and they def needed to be fixed up. I described all my concerns to her. A throughout the haircut she told me exactly what she was going to do next just in case I had changed my mind. We decided not to lighten my hair since it wasn't as heavy after the cut. I live in Texas and I go out of my way when I am in town to see stylist Jennifer Malenofski! I walk in with the picture of what I wanted for the color of my hair and she was able to replicate it perfectly. I am also growing out a pixie cut and she has been so helpful with cuts to get me through the awkward stages of growth. The salon is aesthetically pleasing. You get 25% off for your first time. And I believe you also get a percentage off (I forget how much) for your second time if you write a review on Yelp. Salon Amerige is a great Salon downtown. The service is AMAZING! I have been going to Enzo for a while and he is the only stylist that has ever been able to do a blow out on my super curly hair without using tons of produts or a flat iron. I know it made my daughter feel so grown up and made it an extra special day for her. The salon was pretty busy but a few other stylist also took the time to give compliments while walking by my daughter in the chair. She is so excited to show off her new hair to all her friends. Thereze maintains my hair color to avoid that. She did an amazing job with my hair and it's exactly what I wanted. My hair looks so healthy and naturally brown. I would have appreciated it at least an hour before and not while Im on my way over. Appt is at 8am but times listed in Yelp are salon open at 10 so would she have been on time or open at all? It's inconsiderate and inconvenient. I won't be doing services with her anymore. Don't have early mornings available if you're not going to show up to do your job. I specifically chose that time for a reason.
