My first visit to Andalucia was excellent! I recently had a hair disaster with another stylist from a different salon who royally messed up my highlights; they turned out brassy orangy color. Ava is a true miracle worker with color! Several years ago my old colorist moved away, and thus began my long search for someone to replace him. What a disaster! I wanted natural-looking golden blonde hair, but for two years I went to a seccession of stylists who made my hair various shades of taupe, ash, grey, orange, even lilac! Yuck! I finally had the bright idea to call the company that manufactures the color product that my old stylist had used and asked them for a colorist recommendation. They recommended Ava, my hero! She was able to correct the ghastly color my hair had become and make it a beautiful, golden blond with low lights for depth and highlights for that California glow. Once your color is gorgeous, Ava then takes the time to work with you to develop the best cut and style for you. Her cuts are easy to maintain once you get home and her blow-outs are great. Sometimes she makes my hair silky smooth and other times she makes it curly and fun. As you can probably tell by now, I highly recommend Ava. Angie cut my hair for 9 years and then I moved out of state and BOY do I miss her! I have gone to two Aveda salons in Charlotte since moving and my hair looks nothing like when Angie did it. I even brought in pictures - and still it looks kind of orange. Oh and I miss the hand massages and the head massages too! Angie is great! I followed her from her salon in Glendale to La Crescenta. When I got married at the Madonna Inn I asked her if there was anyway she would travel to do my hair and she did. She made me look beautiful(see the pictures I posted). She also took care of my husbands hair that day and the bridesmaids and even cleaned up my dads hair for me. Not only is she a great colorist and hair stylist but a really wonderful and thoughtful person! I always enjoyed catching up with her. As for the salon, it is great. I had written a poor review a week ago, and somehow it was removed. Unfortunately, my experience here was not so great. Ava (the salon owner) completely burned my hair. I can't bleach or dye it for the next 6 months to a year. I have highlights that literally burned off completely. I'm deeply disappointed as I can't do anything with my hair besides tie it up or wear it in a bun. After damaging my hair to the point where nothing else could be done, I was told to see another colorist since I wasn't "happy" with it. It would have been a fair gesture on her part to refund my money since I was being advised to go elsewhere, but that didn't happen. Hair destroyed. $500 lost. Lesson learned. read more

it was a nice enough haircut, I could have gotten the same or better at another salon for about 2/3~3/4 of the price (I've gotten similar simple cuts elsewhere for around $50). there was nothing that exceptional, good or bad, about it so I give it 3 stars. read more

This salon is right by my house but I went in there after reading the excellent reviews on Yelp. My daughter and I went to Stacy. She is super welcoming and friendly and was very patient with us. I went for haircut and highlights. My hair is kind of fragile right now after getting a keratin treatment (BIG MISTAKE!) at another salon. She gives good tips to improve the hair quality without selling expensive products or salon visits. My daughter and I absolutely LOVE our new hair and couldn't be happier with the results. We get so many compliments and definitely recommend Stacy to anyone and everyone! Her work is amazing and you can totally tell that she truly loves what she does. read more

This salon is awesome and has many talented stylist! Bethany has been my hair colorist/stylist for the past 13 years or so. I would not trust anyone else with my hair! I have blonde very fine hair and I love playing around with different colors in my hair. Every time she is able to achieve just what I am looking for, and does so in a way that keeps my hair looking and feeling as healthy as possible. She has also mastered the art of hair extensions using Great Lengths extensions. I have had these extensions installed various times by a handful of different stylists and she hands down does the best job ever! Infact I will be getting them installed again by her in a few weeks. When you are in her chair you have her sole attention and she will spend the time with you to achieve just what you want. Angie is the best! i couldn't recommend her more highly. i found her due to someone else's recommendation that no one knew her red hair was not, well, hers!! i had been a red head for years but stopped because i found a really good dye job too costly to maintain. not only does angie do an incredible job on the color, she always gives me a great cut as well which always grows out really nicely. and, what i really liked the first time i went, is that she never tried to upsell me. she was completely honest and actually recommended a one process as opposed to highlights and lowlights, etc! i come all the way from the west side of LA for my cut and color because she is so consistent and affordable. I have been going to Ava for many years, but I am new to Yelp so wanted to share my experience. Ava, the owner of Salon Andalusia, is the best hair colorist EVER!!! If you want natural looking hair, you must see her. (I have dirty blond hair). I originally found Ava when I complimented a friend's natural hair color and she told me it was not natural but colored by Ava. I have been going ever since for color and haircuts every few months for over 15 years. The salon has a bunch of other talented hair colorists and stylists as well. They only use Aveda products. They do not try to push the products, but are very knowledgeable about them if you are interested. It's a comfortable vibe, with hot tea and hand massages. Highly highly recommend! read more

I am very cautious of who I let touch my hair. I have very curly thick hair and have always had trouble finding a stylist who can give me an up to date appropriate cut for my hair type. I was referred to Bethany by a friend and I have to say that she is the best so far that I have been to - even better than a curl expert in Beverly Hills that I paid $150 dollars for. Either flat ironed or curly, I'm never dissapointed. I used to drive 2.5 hours just to have her work on my hair! The owner Ava, is also very service oriented and the salon has a very classy atmosphere. It's a special place!! Ava has has graciously and professionally put up with my fussy, high maintenance attitude toward my hair for years and I would not dream of going to anyone else. I have never been disappointed. She is really great with color too! I love this salon. No need to go to a west side salon because you think it's the only way to get that fabulous new look. Salon Andalucia has very talented stylists who are up to date on the all the newest techniques and styles to make your hair look beautiful and healthy. Particularly Angela Lopez; I swear she is part magician. I would have unruly kinky and gray hair if it were not for her. Instead it's long and sleek and always a beautiful color. I would follow Angela to another state if I had to, she is that good! Besides that, they are an Aveda salon and my hair takes well to those products. What the heck is in that stuff anyway; all I know is that it's amazing. She is great with all hair but she really understands curly hair. Angela has done practically everything to my hair from short and curly to long and sleek. We have done highlights, punk red streaks, solid color from red to black. She always takes her time and teaches me how to keep the look and suggests ways to keep it healthy. Salon is relaxing and welcoming and all the stylists are very sweet and I would have no qualms if I had to use someone else but what can I say, Angela is a hair magician.
