Walked in between 1pm and 2pm and asked about price and availability. It would $79 and I had a choice of 3pm or 4pm. I chose 4pm and arrived on time. In the end, with tax and tip, it was about $100. Worth every penny! Heidi was assigned to do my hair and showed me a book of the types of styles. I chose curly. It was obvious she was a pro with the brush and blow dryer. They offered and I accepted water. Big TVs to watch and interesting movies. There was also a bar which I would have indulged in a cocktail but didn't want to start drinking too early. Loved the selfie ring system where you can take your photo.

The vibe was so fun! I loved that there were movies playing while I got my hair done, and the atmosphere felt super relaxed and upbeat. Mikey made the yummiest drinks and was so fun to talk to, such great energy! The experience started with a relaxing wash, followed by my choice of hairstyle. The whole service took about an hour, but I honestly didn't even notice the time because I was so relaxed. My hair came out beautiful, soft, and held up perfectly in the humidity. I definitely recommend getting your hair done here while staying in Waikiki. Whether it's for a photoshoot, a nice dinner, or a night out in town.

So, I visited today, and they proceeded to charge me when the service should've been free. Instead of making things right, and telling me they cancelled my membership in April and it's September and I've been in 5 times since then with not one person telling me I have no membership, prices went up, or I wasn't accruing blow outs, they tried to talk me into buying another membership! Run fast and far from this business, the most poorly run, poor service ever! Sadly, I will never go back, you just lost a loyal client!

This Kahala Drybar is located in Kū'ono Marketplace which is a new shopping complex right across Kahala Mall and with lots of free parking it's so easy to drive up to your appointment which is so easily done online or through their app. I love their dry styling and if you need some inspiration they do have a book for you to look at and along with their products even with my hair that rarely hold curls keeps it for days and makes my life that much more prettier with ease. Thank you!

They scheduled me with Brandy who was awesome, so attentive, educated me about clarifying shampoo, did a very relaxing wash and blow dry, and my hair looked like a Kpop stars by time she was finished. Extremely reasonable pricing (compared to where I'm from, San Francisco Bay area in California), I was shocked $75 for a very individualized cut, wash and blow dry, with lovely conversation along the way. Glad I waited til getting to Hawaii to get my hair did! The salon was clean, took a hot minute to locate cuz we didn't follow the driving instructions on their website. If u come from pedestrian level street u need to take elevator to 7th floor of the high rise.

He was really friendly and told me some of his favorite spots in Oahu. I also love this plaza there's so much good food here!

What I enjoyed: The therapists were very professional and respectful of our preferences. They sent a questionnaire ahead of time to understand what we wanted, and when I emailed with some additional requests, they were able to accommodate everything, which I really appreciated. The massage room itself was beautiful, with a big bathtub for a coconut bath after the treatment and its own bathroom. The amenities were great too: snacks, drinks, fruits, a dry sauna, steam sauna, and a waiting lounge overlooking the ocean with lay-down chairs. The lounge wasn't busy at all, and you could easily spend an hour there relaxing. Booking was easy via email and the staff was very responsive. Valet parking is included. What could've been better: The jacuzzi was out of order during our visit, and I wasn't informed ahead of time. I had to ask for a prorated rate, and the person checking us out initially didn't want to give the discount until their manager stepped in. For a big hotel-affiliated spa, I expected better communication and consistency on something like this. The showers also ran out of bath products (either shampoo or body wash), and the locker area was missing some amenities I'd expect at this price point, like makeup remover and skincare beyond generic body lotion. I also had trouble getting a receipt with my name on it initially, though they eventually sent one. One other thing to note: the spa is right above the hotel beach and pool area, so you can hear people rather than just ocean waves or spa music. It didn't bother me too much, but it's something to be aware of if you're expecting total tranquility. Despite these issues, it was still a wonderful experience and I'd recommend it for a special occasion!

Hillary and her canine assistant were up to task. I honestly don't know how my kid ended up with crazy wiry hair. If you're looking for great hair and a safe, loving, and unpretentious space, come to Winam.

I've been considering a new hairdo for about two years and finally felt comfortable pulling the trigger. Off the website I was able to get Hilary's number and text her about my situation and desired haircut. I showed her photos of similar haircuts and described what I was looking for. I also showed her pictures of my current hair and of me holding my hair sort of how I was hoping the final cut would look. The text-based consult was great! Hilary was excited about the job, but also said I could go somewhere else if I wanted to get color done at the same time, since she only does haircuts. After telling the stylist she referred me to for color the same information I gave Hillary, she thought it best I go to Hillary for the cut and her for the color. I don't think everyone is comfortable doing this kind of dramatic cut, and I may have made her nervous when I said I was an artist educator. I ended up doing both appointments the same day, one right after the other this was fairly easy, since both locations were within walking distance of each other. I'm happy I had two experts each doing what they loved doing best! Winam Studio is above the Post Office on 11th Ave. in Kaimuki. I came in the afternoon (post lunch) on a weekday, and parking was fairly easy in the metered lot in the middle of the block, and I showed up right on time. The studio was clean and fun, with pops of color inspired by a Rubik's cube, and Hillary was ready for me. She'd been talking to someone in the waiting area, but stopped to attend to me immediately. There was one other person and her hairdresser in the studio. Hillary and I talked through the cut one more time, and she expressed gratitude about my specificity and the reference photos I brought. She asked her colleague for ideas before starting to firm up her plan of action. We had interesting conversation throughout the shampoo and cut, and Hillary even treated me to some theatrical snipping during the experience. This woman is an artist with her shears. She thought and walked me through her process the entire time, sculpting my hair with precision using only combs, shears, and razor blades, and even throwing in a bit of theatrical pins he that made me laugh. I kept a lock of my long hair for my son. It was an awesome collaboration! Both the cut and color turned out better than I could ever have imagined! It's comfortable and super low-maintenance. I don't have to wash my hair as often, don't sweat as much, and never need a hair tie. My hair looks amazing after simply messing it around with my fingers and flipping to the side. Friends that have known me for years have asked me why I hadn't had this haircut sooner. They tell me it fits my personality perfectly! I love that I can look chic or punk rock, depending on what I wear and how I wear my hair! Now I look like the artist I am! Thank you, Hillary!
