Long time client here, and my teen daughter is also a client now. I do haircut, and she does haircut and color, we LOVE Val. :) Not cheap, but affordable (especially if compared to other places). We moved pretty far from Broomall, but we keep coming for appointments with Valery. The only suggestion - would be GREAT to be able to book online (at any time). read more

well... let just put it this way, I am not thrilled and would not recommend if you want layers in your hair. I won't be going back. Stylist: 4 stars, for being a nice person, polite, trying to do what she thought I wanted. Color: 3 stars, because it took well. However, there was dark color all of my forehead, on my neck, and behind my ears, a spot on my jaw. I went home and took a wet wipe to remove the color and the attached pics will show how much more color came off after I wiped it off. Hence I did not get a thorough wash to remove the color. Haircut: 2 stars, because while she was cutting my hair, it just felt like she was snipping a bit here and a bit there, but this being my first time at that salon, and never having had this stylist cut my hair before, I figured she knew what she was doing although it did not seem like it... I showed her a couple pics of what I wanted, and I told her to cut at least two inches all over to give me a layered look. I already did have layers, so I would have thought it would make it easy for her. I wanted my layers redefined. But she did not section my hair, nor did she measure it at the end to make sure everything was even all over. I now have one side longer than the other. She just took strands and trimmed away. My hair looks like there is one layer on the top half of the head and then another on the bottom with nothing in between, so it looks weird! I also asked her to angle the layers along my face, but I do not think she knew how to do that... I am not happy with the way my hair looks. Style: 4 stars, only because the stylist did try to make it look nice, but I really think she did not know how to style my type of hair, which is not that hard to work with. She said my hair was so fun and easy to work with but after she was done, it did not look what I was expecting. She did seem to try to do what I wanted but didn't, and I needed to get back to work, so I left. read more

Got a spray tan. It was horrible. My feet look dirty, my hands look tiger striped, the color on my legs looks speckled and there are jagged lines of color demarcation where my chin and neck meet. Not only was it a waste of money, but now i have to look like this for a week. I wish i could give them 0 stars read more

Casey can not braid hair. I had to tell her I want the braids tighter and was literally teaching her how to braid hair. She did not part my hair good either. Prior to booking I asked if she could braid my hair and she said she could but the work showed other wise. She had also gave me highlights and I showed a reference picture where it started from the root and they were a decent size. She made them small and not from the root like I asked and when I asked her to fix it because it's not what I said I wanted she got mad at me. I still tipped her good after her acting like that. After her getting mad at me she blocked me, very unprofessional and definitely not coming back. read more

Went to this little hidden jewel yesterday and was so impressed. Everyone was nice. Colleen did a full foil and cut and I have to say it was one of the best salon experiences I have ever had. Burned my hair off from the foils sitting in too long. Didn't notice until I got home because it was underneath most of my hair. The hair stylist also acted like she didn't want to be there and barely spoke to me. Made me brush my own hair as soon as I got in her chair. The haircut was a joke. Would not recommend. read more

Several times I got my hair cut at Salon Bella and it was average experience. I would explain the stylist and sometimes also show picture but she would give me same uneven haircut. I am not sure whether she is trained to cut only that kind of layers or didn't care about what I really wanted. Last time I was highly unsatisfied as it was horrible haircut so decided to go back. I showed my stylist, pic of the haircut I was expecting and very nicely she agreed to fix but she just chopped some hair but nothing near to to pic I showed her. She never gave me nice blended precise perfect haircut. It's salon for average haircut with higher price tag. I had also got single color and highlights at different visits. Hair color didn't last even for two weeks and my stylist blamed my shampoo for that. I was satisfied with the highlights though. read more

Love this salon! My hair has never looked better. I could never get the color I wanted. (I have blonde hair). Everywhere else made me yellow, Marlee has done a wonderful job getting me that ashy color I was looking for! She, also, gave me a great cut. read more

Marlee is great! My hair had grown into weird thick chunky layers. She gave a great cut, giving my hair the right layers with so much more bounce. She also toned my faded auburn highlights and brought them back, and I'll definitely be going back to her again! read more

If there was a way to give this place 0 stars I would. The hairstylists will cut your hair horribly then tell you the reason it looks bad is because "your head is shaped different." Save yourself the heartache, tears every time you look in the mirror, and the $ spent on hats afterward... go anywhere else for your hair needs. read more

More a 3 star experience but I think I went here on an off day so I'm being generous. Had a Groupon for a haircut, conditioning treatment, style. Normally it would be $40ish for a haircut, but after my experience here I'm 50/50 on if I'll go back. Probably not because their prices are higher-end and I wasn't impressed by anything, I can pay about the same price at the salon I used to go to in Rittenhouse. I liked the stylist I had, Teri, she was nice and did a good job. She was also quick, and my hair is a pain to blow out. I was in and out in about an hour. I was VERY unhappy with whoever the girl was who did my shampoo/conditioning treatment. I was hoping someone would ask me about my experience so I could say something, but they didn't. I almost asked Teri not to style my hair because of it, because I felt like I needed to wash it again, and still do. She kind of poured a little shampoo and barely worked it through my hair, didn't even wash the underneath part. She was pretty awful, and normally this is the best part of getting your hair done! Lastly, there was a huge, extremely loud (well mostly just one very rude girl- she even kept walking in front of me and putting her butt in my face while I was getting a haircut!) who were acting like they owned the salon. I'm trying not to base my review off this, but it definitely ruined my experience, and maybe they should be more mindful of when and what size groups they schedule, however if the group had better manners it would have been fine, and I know the salon can't control that. Overall, 2-3/5 experience, but prob would be 4/5 on a different day. read more

Loved this place! I had never used a groupon before but when I came across the groupon for Salon Bella it seemed like a great deal. $69 for full highlights, cut, blow dry. I was afraid that bc I was using a groupon they would not give the same treatment as a full paying customer but that was not the case at all. My hairdresser took her time doing my highlights(I have very long, very thick hair) the color came out beautiful and she really listened to what I wanted when it came to how I wanted it cut. The receptionist checked on me twice to see if I would like something to drink. Great place for a terrific haircut and highlights! The cost was so reasonable and the time they spent on me was more than expected! My stylist knew exactly how to work with thick hair and the highlights were planned for partial, but they did more and they are perfectly placed and gorgeous. They offered me coffee and water, and I had both. Everyone was friendly, pleasant, informative, and I got free samples which are my favorite to get!
