Have just found my 'goto' hair salon!! Dean cut my hair today using clippers,scissors, thinning shears and for my unruly wavy long thick hair it came out great! He is a man of few words and you're not paying for glitzy environment, music played way too loud or constant idle banter. He did listen to me and looked at the photo I provided and went to work. He paid attention to details such as the ear jaw line and nape of my neck etc and didn't cut out my wave or cut too much off the length as requested. The shampoo lady was competent and the products used were top notch leaving my hair frizz fee, soft and manageable without having to add a lot of product. No pushing products etc and talking while water was running like some places. She was careful not to let water get into my ears nor getting my shirt wet. My hair is not easy to style as I like to keep my wave / long hair and Dean did a great job thinking it out providng texture and most importantly keeping my natural wave. I have been looking for a hair stylist for a while now and have had haircuts from $200 on down always hoping that I can find someone that I can stay with. I read the reviews and do my homework and it's not easy to find a stylist that you can make you look better then what you came in looking like. Went here because it's the closet salon/barber we could find. My boyfriend got a haircut here and it was the ugliest haircut I've ever seen. To be honest, I tried to not laugh while he was getting his hair cut because it was that terrible. The lady's technique was so bizarre and I wouldn't be surprised if she has never actually cut hair in her life. My boyfriend just asked to get the sides trimmed and she cut the top of his hair too without his permission. He was growing out the top to do a comb over. Obviously is not going to happen anytime soon, thanks to her. On top of all of that, they were all super rude when we walked in and acted like they were pissed that we walked in. My son went in yesterday and asked for a skin fade style haircut. The man there cut his hair down to his skin and left a terribly crooked hairline that is clearly not equally level on left to right side of his head. Sadly, it's the worst haircut. Zero star worthy. Peter is great. I used to get my hair cut by him back when he was in Vallco. Nice to see that he's moved to a slightly more convenient location. I typically get a short trim and my hair layered, and Peter executes pretty masterfully. The place is fairly clean and service is efficient and timely. Only quip is that it's a really expensive haircut ($80 pre tip) and most people aren't willing to shell out the money. I typically go once a year and find it to be more than worth it -- definitely worth checking out if you need a new barber. tldr; great barber place! read more

This salon is usually not very busy so there is no wait time. It is quiet (no background music) and the hair stylist does not make annoying small talk while cutting your hair. In fact, it was a very relaxing hair cut session with no noise and no conversation. I also had my hair straightened after the cut and it turned out great! The guy cutting my hair was also very careful and did not rush cutting my hair. Women's haircuts are $30 for short hair and $40 for long hair - not sure why it's more expensive for long hair even though you'll still be cutting 1 inch off whether your hair is long or short. read more

I'm thrilled with my new hair style. I cannot thank Rita enough for her magic hands and spectacular skills. I saw my friend with a great style two days ago and I decided to give it a try. I have a lot of hair and very straight. So a lot of stylist just cannot her a good style of it. Some are too flat some make me look really bulky. Rita used a cutting style I have never experienced before. I had to stand up with head down to let her do her magic cut.
