My boyfriend has been getting his perm monthly by Eddie, and every experience has been amazing. Eddie does a great job at keeping it consistent and it comes out exactly how he wants. If you need a quality haircut and stylist for Asian hair, go to Eddie! I've always had trouble finding good stylists who get Asian straight flat hair and Eddie does a great job. He's also incredibly nice and will make you feel super comfy with his studio. I've been getting cuts from him a couple times now and he doesn't disappoint! read more

I recently switched from where I was going to Eddie Wu since the price kept going up at my last place. It's hard to find someone that cuts short hair and still leaves me feminine but with an edge. I've now been to Eddie twice. He listened, then quickly went to work. I've walked out happy both times and the cut last 6 weeks, which is great for short hair. I'm still making a few tweaks as I figure out what I want but he makes suggestions for what he thinks would match my style. He's easy to talk to and work with and is reasonably priced. I'm looking forward to splurging in the winter by having him do some cool color for winter parties. read more

This review is for Alice P. who I believe is in Studio #7, I can never remember. I was referred to her by a friend and have been going to her ever since. I actually came to her to fix a highlight hair job gone wrong by some other stylist. She did amazing at fixing the issues. After that, I have been a permanent customer. I have been visiting Jennifer (unit 6, Focus hair) for years and cannot say enough as a hair stylist and person. Jennifer is meticulous with her cuts and styling and never rushed even if there is a line waiting. I love Jennifer's attention to detail after the haircut, time is spent trimming the neck, ear and other unwanted strays. Lastly it's about the style and cleanup that lets you leave the salon ready for a new start, clean and ready to go. Very cool setup here - there are 28 individual small salons inside here. I came here to get a haircut from Lilly in #23. She's done my hair before and it's always a simple, easy-to-maintain haircut for less than $30. She offered coffee, tea or water and free wifi. My cut was a simple trim, so it took less than half an hour. I would recommend making an appointment. Lilly is pretty flexible and can likely schedule you in (everyday 9-7 except Tuesdays), but if you're doing a complicated hair treatment, make sure you budget a few hours. If it is after Sola's normal business hours, the front door may be locked. There's a keypad to the left of the door where you can scroll through the directory for your stylist's number and call them to let you in. Great location with lots of parking since its in the same plaza as Starbucks and Sprouts. read more

I told her that I wanted a caramel balayage with a money piece. She asked me a lot of questions and gave me a lot of options, making sure I was happy! I've been going to Alice Parsa for the last 4-5 years and I highly recommend her! I'll never let anyone else touch my hair. I've definitely learned my lesson in the past about that. She also cuts and sometimes dyes my two boys hair aged 9 and 12. They both love her and both refuse to go anywhere else as she listens to their wants and delivers. I've been going to get my haircut with Valerie at her old Haircut Shop for at least 10 years. Since her old place was getting destroyed to build a new establishment, she ended up moving to a new location. I didn't know where was moving to and I was afraid that I would loose her. I'm glad she found a new location. I follow Valerie to get my haircut even though I live by Morgan Hill. . Prior to me getting my hair with Valerie, I was going to another Shop at at least 20 years. This is a review for Lilly in room 24. I usually get consultations before to see what the hairdresser's work and see what their abilities are. My sister and I both got separate consultations (On different days) with Lilly who assured us she can do what we both wanted (She said my sister might be a little difficult because of her previous dyed hair) she even booked us together so she can work on us back to back! The day of the appointment comes and she had me come in at 5 and my sister at 6, when I came in she had 2 clients she was still working on and had me wait for 30 mins. When she finally called me in I showed her the image of what I roughly wanted done and she obliged. We started with a simple cut and got into the bleach. My sister came later and also got a cut and bleach as well. We both had to have 2 bleached sessions because we both wanted to go pretty light (I wanted Silver and my sister wanted Blonde) Things got hairy when it was roughly 10 PM and it was time for both of us to get toned, not only did our hair come out completely uneven, she made us both "silver". I pointed out that my sister's hair looked more silver than blonde, Lilly gave me a WTF look. When my sister told her she wanted to be blonde, Lilly said while laughing "first you want to go silver, now you want to go blonde?" She also had to touch up our bases which became way too light because she put the toner all over both of our heads. Lilly also cut my sister's bangs incorrectly and it didn't look like the image she showed us. And our hair looked almost exactly the same even after all the "fixing" she did. We both finally left fairly unhappy at 1:30 AM The. Next. Day. I've already preordered hair dye to be picked up when the store opens to fix our hair. If you want a basic cut, go to Lilly. If you want color/bleaching, please spend your money somewhere else. read more

A great idea and a beautiful execution. It is a hairstyling marketplace that is built as a big indoor area with many separated small shops, each belongs to a different hairstylist. All stores have a door that opens to the main corridor which loops around the whole place. You can come in a anytime walk around look at the shops and chose your hairstylist. All they need to do is add more shops for nails, waxing, cosmetics, and makeup, and you are sure to walk out of here well groomed. Oh yes, and add a moving coffee cart it will be the bomb. read more

Mana has a great talent for picking and applying just the right hair color. I have been coming to get my hair done with Mana for some time now and I have never left disappointed. She is always so careful, patient and really listens to what you want. She has a gift for knowing what will look good on someone and what is best for the health and integrity of the hair. And on top of being extremely talented at what she does, she is quite possibly one of the sweetest people I have ever met. This review is for Lily at station #23. Such a warm lady! I can go just to chat with her and feel good. I went in wanting highlights without bleach on my much abused hair. She gave me all the pros-cons as it was without beating about the bush. I finally went in for red highlights and I cant stop the compliments I have been receiving. I was always shy of getting red hightlights although been wanting it and she put me at ease right away. Also gave me awesome layers. All in all a good 2 hours spent. U go Lily! read more

Le Hong at Station #9 did an AMAZING job with my cut and color. I've been going to her for years at Star Image Studio but she just moved to Sola! She was able to transform my dry, brassy, blonde balayage to a beautiful and healthy darker ash brown for a very reasonable price, especially for a college student. She's the only person I trust with my hair and has never disappointed! Very talented, listens to what you want, and is the sweetest woman ever! I would recommend her to anyone. read more

They are plastic and incredibly slippery when wet. Since they are not sized to the individual, it's dangerous. I slipped out of my sandals and fell down the stairs in the large Russian Sauna. This resulted in multiple abrasions and a large laceration on my forearm and I actually got stitches for the first time. Sandals have to be fixed, there's stairs everywhere here. The people in the sauna were super nice and helped me, luckily, I'm pretty fit, but it could've been really really bad. Credit to the staff for not charging me for my time there, honestly, I would've rather paid and left uninjured. I'm not 100% sure that I would return, it just happened today so maybe in time that will change.

They clearly had foot massage beds. The body massage room was comfortable and the right temperature. Bed was adequate but the face cradle had a paper towel over it, it was very scratchy, and when I removed it the lady told me to put it back. My 60 minute massage was interrupted three times; twice for the telephone to be answered and once for my therapist to help someone change the receipt printer paper. The massage itself was lacking. I was never asked about health concerns, sore spots, or my desired level of pressure. There was about 40 minutes on my upper back and the rest was spread around. No facial or scalp massage, which is one of my favorites. Very very little time spent on legs, feet, arms. Based on other reviews I feel like maybe I just had a really bad unique experience, for that reason I would give it one more try and then update my review.

She died my roots too dark for the second time (she did it previously too and now I see my error in going back to her) and made the body of the hair golden without any blending throughout. The next session she did some toner and it didn't help. The third session she made a poor attempt to blend the color and gave me early 2000's golden streaks through dark roots. I asked her to fix it and she tried to soak me for more money. When I refused, she blamed me for not understanding "the process". I go to a salon because they are supposed to be the professionals. If I have to know how to do it myself so I can supervise you then I don't need your service. Each session she acknowledged that she didn't come close to achieving the desired result and I'd have to pay for her to fix it with another session. She never explained how many sessions would be needed or how much it would cost, and that is because she didn't have any idea. She was just winging it and expecting me to continue to pay for her mistakes and lack of skill. Buyer beware - be sure to choose a different stylist at that salon.
