She is awesome and does exactly as I want with my hair because I am super picky. She takes time to get to know you and figure out the best style for you and your hair adventure. I found this salon while searching for a hair saloon in San Clemente thanks to Yelp, so I figured that I should also write a review. Due to great reviews I decided that Salon Bleu will be the one that I will try. I can only say great things. It was so easy to make an appointment through their website and I made my appointment with Jessica. It turns out she is the salon owner, so I new that I must be in good hands! My hair was blond, and I really wanted more natural look without coloring my hair brown. Jessica was so quick and great on deciding what's the best way to do it, so she did some lowlights and highlights and used a toner to make it dark blond. She was fast, careful and super nice person to talk to as well. I love the result! Exactly what I wanted even though I had no idea how to get that result, and I am so happy that I went to Salon Bleu as they are so good! The whole staff was great and friendly. I've been seeing Yaling at Salon Bleu for a year and a half and my hair has never looked better. My first visit to Salon Bleu was to fix a botched short hair cut. Yaling gave me a super stylish pixie cut that I got compliments on everywhere I went. The cut looked great, but it was too short for me, so I grew it into a bob. Yaling gave me a cute bob too, but this was still too short for me. I've now grown it out into a shoulder-length shag and I absolutely love it! My straight fine hair is challenging to cut, but Yaling always does a beautiful job. She's probably the most technically competent stylist I've ever been to. She also does beautiful on color (I get complements on that too!). What's more, the salon is hip but relaxing. I always feel comfortable and welcome there. It's not like the last salon I went to where the stylists talked and joked among themselves and didn't pay attention to me. read more

I recently got my hair done by Holly and I absolutely love it!!!!! I was a bit hesitant in getting my hair done, not because of the stylist but because I always have some type of horrific experience with trying to change up my hair which is 100% my fault do to the fact that I continuously color my hair with the blackest of all black hair colors. I desperately wanted a change but just a few months ago I tried to do the ombre look and ended up having to cut off about 8 inches off my hair because it was so damaged afterwards. Not to mention I sat in that chair for about 4 hours trying to pull all of the black color out. With that said you can only imagine how paranoid I am about my hair. I sent Holly over a picture of what I was trying to achieve and let her know I had once again recently colored my hair black, usually I get a hesitant answer and all these questions like how long ago, what product did you use, etc... My black hair did not seem to faze Holly and she immediately booked me an appointment. When I got there she already had a game plan and was ready for whatever craziness my hair threw at her. She walked me through the entire process which made me feel at ease. Not even two hours later she was done with BOTH cut and color! I was shocked. I thought no way she couldn't have lightened any thing in that little time. To my surprise I had exactly what I was trying to accomplish and my hair was super smooth and undamaged! I just had the best hair cutting experience, possibly ever. I am over 60 and had grown my hair to below the middle of my back. It wasn't doing a thing for me, so I decided today's the day to cut it shorter and have a cute style. I was surprised when I called and they said Sarra could take me today! Finally cutting my hair was a big decision and normally I wouldn't have gone to just anyone at random. But I read reviews on Salon Bleu, and read Sarra's bio, and talked to the gal when I called for the appt. I was nervous about getting a good cut. Turned out to be one of the best decisions I've made. I brought in a photo of a cut I was thinking of, but before I showed it to her, we talked and I listened to her suggestions. Turned out she suggested the same exact style as the photo I finally showed her. So off we went to the shampoo bowl. She gives a great shampoo and condition and was very gentle in everything she did. She took a lot of time cutting my hair, both wet, and then after styling, dry. I really like her calm personality. She put me at ease right away. She also took pictures on my camera so I could send it to some friends who were encouraging me to finally cut my hair. They approved! I will definitely be a return customer. And everyone I interacted with at the salon was nice. The price was right too. It was a totally positive experience. read more
