Wow, I thought I had written a review for this place. Clearly, I have not and it definitely deserves all the praises that it gets from other fellow yelpers. Salon Bleu is absolutely wonderful! Incredibly professional and I just love the overall atmosphere of the salon. It may seem a bit small at first and a little hard to find (but alas, Google map was there to save my day!). The customer service is great from the moment you walk in. Everyone is friendly and welcoming! The salon is clean, fresh and aesthetically pleasing. A complimentary beverage awaits you, a great consultation and then excellent work. I had been searching for a new stylist for years, and then I found Julietta. I've been going to her for about 2 years and each time I go she does an AMAZING job. She is able to thin my very thick hair out so nicely without damaging it. Her Color skills are perfection; she can tame my grays and also gives me a few highlights underneath for some peek-a-boo fun. Not only does she do a good job, but she is also so sweet and easy to talk to. The head message is to die for. So grateful I found the right stylist! I used Tiara for my whole wedding process and she rocked my socks off! From a failed hair trial (my fault for being super late, she was super nice about it), to a successful trial, cut and highlight, and the actual wedding day Tiara was professional , sweet, fun, and comforting. Having your hair done for your wedding day is sort of an emotional and intimate experience and I was nervous about going with someone I'd never met before. She was so easy to chat with, really open and easy going regarding the style and helping me go with something that would work with my face, hair, and wedding theme. I can honestly say that my hair was one of my favorite details about my wedding and I can't thank Tiara enough. The salon is also very cute and comfortable. After rave reviews of this salon, I booked an appt with Tiara. I will say this...she was dying her hair in during the time of doing mine, was very busy in her weekend planning.... And now my hair is completely FRIED and damaged. I've never had this happen in my life. I wash it and it dries crusty. I waited to write this post until I got into a hairstylist that has ridiculous cred. Not only is my haircut completely uneven a jagged...she is a hired at how damaged my hair is. I am now a before and after for another salon due to the overpriced and lack luster care done here. When you spend that amount of money,you expect to be taken care of. I've been going to Salon Bleu for Dana for 2 years, and I've always been delighted with whatever she does. I roll in about every 4-5 months, needing an appointment last minute every time and she always finds a spot for me. She's even accomodated my crazy schedule (and poor planning) with a late appointment. Her pricing is more than fair and her quality is worth 4 times more. I went to Salon Blue to get a consultation and trial for hair and makeup for my wedding day. I will not name who worked on me, but I was not satisfied with the job she did AT ALL. She was very nice and polite but has no business being in hair and make up. She caked on the foundation, and kind of half-assed her way through makeup. For example she recommend a bright pink lip on me (which i knew would not look good) and once I told her I would rather see a nude lip, all she did was lather a nude lip gloss on top of the bright pink one. Didn't even bother to wipe the pink off. She kind of rushed through my hair and it looked just alright. My makeup was a worse version of my everyday makeup. I was extremely unsatisfied, and to top it off it was 90$. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. It seems they let anyone do hair and make up. read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Hope for years and am always happy with the results. If you want half an inch cut off she will cut half an inch. Not scissor happy like most stylists out there! Also gives amazing color and helps you achieve a beautiful style that is fashionable and functional for your hair type. I have hothead extensions and wasn't thrilled with the installation that I got in Ladera, so I decided to try someplace new that is closer to my office in San Clemente. Not only was Morgan available on semi-short notice, but she was extremely sweet and kind, and genuinely excited about how it was going to turn out. Well, taking out the extensions, washing my hair, coloring my hair, coloring the extensions, drying both, and then re-stickering the extensions and replacing them turn out to be quite the feat. This salon is really nice! It's situated near the beach so it's really relaxed and breezy inside. My stylist was Rachel. I actually found this salon though livingsocial.com where I got a coupon for a keratin treatment. It's basically the same as Brazilian blowout without formaldehyde. I also got highlights before the keratin. Not the smartest idea for someone who doesn't like to sit for that long. I was there over 4 hours. She is really nice and a great stylist. I really loved the way it come out. Normally the salon is on the expensive side and pretty far from where I live. read more

so I'm walking downtown in San Juan Capistrano on Mother's Day. I look around and I see this woman with the most beautiful hair. And as I comment on it she lets me know she's a hairdresser. My lucky day as my hairdresser was out of town and I had a big event coming up. She was so sweet and acommodating. she has a wonderful personality and a real artistic talent. I have crazy, curly hair that I dye bright, fire engine red and straighten all the time. Amber bleaches my roots in a way that never irritates my scalp, and does the most perfect blowout. She's so sweet and I love that she seems to enjoy doing my crazy color! She really takes her time and makes sure that my hair looks exactly the way that I want it to.
