I first started doing business with them in 1999 while I was still in HS and they were seated next to Kodiak coffee in Forest Lake... I've had phenomenal hairstylists' as well as not so great over the years. Within the last two years I've started going again more regularly since I decided to put some blonde back in my hair. Jordan is great. She has an awesome personality and she listens well. She doesn't tell you what to do or talk down to you. I highly recommend her in particular. I have had some issues over the years. They've been enough to keep me a way for a while, but somehow I end up always going back. I did however have one issue in particular that management handled well. I've been happy with the overall management and clearly they are doing something right, as there are a few faces that have been there since I started going in the 90s! I do think you will be overall happy going to La Grande Salon. They also have a cute little store within that's worth checking out.

I walked here from the car dealership and couldn't check in on the app until five after 9:00 per Great Clips policy. I immediately checked in at 9:06 and arrived at the shop at 9:10. There were already 14 people on the check in screen, two getting cuts and two more waiting. I'm not sure how that happened. This is the busiest Great Clips I've seen as walk-ins and and checks just kept coming pushing wait times over 90 minutes. Despite the volume the only two cutters kept the pace and didn't rush their cuts. I was satisfied with my cut, (not overjoyed just ok). I don't know how many people work there but I did hear another would come in at 10. They probably need more people on staff.

The haircut is horrendous. Somehow, the front of my hair ended up about three inches shorter than the rest, when it all started at the same length. It will take me FOREVER to grow this out now. It's about two months later and I still hardly ever wear my hair down because it still looks awful. The only reason I give two stars is because I called back a day later and they took me back in right away to try to fix it. It couldn't really be fixed, but it was worth a shot.

My family has been going there for everything from haircuts to colorings for years now, without issue. The staff there are very friendly and competent. Especially Teri the owner, who takes her craft very seriously (the wall full of Redken certifications speak for themselves). She goes out of her way to make sure every customer is satisfied when they walk out the door. You must be good at what you do to have regular customers drive over an hour one way (through the Twin Cities) to Stacy, MN for her services.
