The absolute WORST experience anyone should never pay for. This person "Jay" was the most argumentative, inappropriate "professional" I have ever witnessed work. She accused my mom of "blocking her" and cancelled her appointment, rescheduled her and then literally stopped working on my mom in the middle of a lift, leaving the top unprocessed as she cut another clients hair... My mom asked her if that was a normal experience because she had never had a stylist do that in the past and this lady had the audacity to sit there and argue with my mother and told her that she didn't have the right to asked her that in front of another client and again accused my mother of blocking her and justifying cancelling the original appointment and then threatened to charge for half of the appointment that she cancelled in the instance that my mom didn't show of for the rescheule. My mother asked her if it was supposed to be so light in comparison to the other highlights, and she said "I do things differently". She sent my aging mother home with wet hair and my mom stated that she had never been sent home without the hair being dry and the woman refused and told her that, "that is extra"... This was the most disgusting customer service and lack of professionalism that I have ever witnessed in my entire life. I am appalled. The woman was shockingly argumentative and inappropriate, I was afraid to leave my mother unsupervised. Its sad that this is the way that young people treat their elders. read more

The lofts themselves are nice and clean, but I have to warn customers to stay away from stylist, Jenn Barnett. I recently had the worst color job of my life performed by her and had to spend over $250 plus tip elsewhere to have it corrected. I asked for a balayage and the pictures are what I walked out with. It was chunky, not blended and the entire middle section of my hair was a dIfferent color than it should've been. She 100% saw nothing wrong with the botched job she did, charged me for it and let me walk out the door looking like a train wreck. I honestly think she was certain that the color job she did looked good! What's worse is that after I had to pay a color correction fee elsewhere (the week of Christmas of all weeks to try and find someone to fix this mess) to have it fIxed and I brought it up to her (including sending pictures of the terrible work she did), she didn't offer to refund my money. Instead she offered me a free service for next time. I'm not going back EVER (and a free service is a joke! I'm surprised my hair hasn't fallen out from all of this bleaching in a short period of time. I highly advise you to try someone else at Salon Lofts who is capable of doing better work and certainly won't charge you for their poor work that you'll have to go get fixed elsewhere. read more

Megan Carpenter (Loft 19) is AMAZING! Her loft makes you feel at home! She takes the time to listen to how you want your hair. If you are like me she will also give you recommendations if your unsure on what you want to do. I also had my eyebrows waxed and they lasted around 3 weeks! It did not even hurt. It's truly nice to be pampered and have a regular hair stylist to go to. I would recommend her to anyone. She is very passionate in what she does. My daughter is 13 and has been to see Megan for a hair cut and layer. She absolutely loves her hair. Megan also gave her some good tips as she flat irons all the time. She cannot wait to go back. read more

AMBER HARRIS at Salon Lofts in Grove City, Ohio last week on 11/23/22 colored my hair. I showed Amber a picture of what I wanted done and what I received was horrible service. I paid full cost $155 she rushed the entire time and could tell I wasn't happy by my face expression when I first seen it and she kept saying "I'm not done yet" and it looked just as bad when she was finished. She left several areas in the back of my head without any highlights at all and it looks nothing like what I wanted. I didnt even like how she styled it she curled it and I wanted it straight bc I didnt like it and she of course said she didnt have time to fix it and tried straightening OVER curly hair which DIDNT WORK so she left me looking a mess I had to go home wash and style my OWN hair like I should have never paid her a penny. She said she didnt have time to fix it that day because she had stuff to do and I texted her so many times after this to get it fixed like she told me she would and after we set a new time up she didnt even show up! She wouldnt answer her phone now or reply to any of my messages. She is very rude and unprofessional. She even tried to make me pay more money to get what I wanted done the 1st time. This is horrible service i would not recommend Amber Hairris to anyone!! read more

I just visited the salon loft in grove city this past weekend for a color correction and cut .. Joshua Blain was AMAZING he is very passionate about what he does very knowledgeable , he corrected every problem I had .I would HIGHLY recommend him it was an overall great experience!!!! read more

It all depends on your stylist. I had a horrible experience with a stylist who changed the appointment time 4 times. This was all within an hour of the arrival time. It was a delay of as much as two hours. When I arrived two other clients were sitting with color on their hair in the small room where I was to get a hair cut. It was rushed and I certainly didn't feel valued as a customer. On behalf of Salon Lofts, I had two previous experiences with different stylists that were positive. read more

Unfortunately I must say that I had a very bad experience with Jessica Lehman in loft 12 at the Grove City location. My original appointment was for a hair cut and I must say she did a very good job on the cut but completely overcharged me. Even so I paid with a smile and a tip. I even made an appointment to color my hair. The problem arose when I suddenly had to cancel my upcoming appointment due to the fact that they have found a mass on my brain and my left side has quit working properly. When she found out I had to cancel she refused to reschedule with me and then proceeded to try to extort money from me for services she had never performed. She attempted to bully me into paying her for my coloring session even though i had cancelled and services were never performed. She was clearly upset/angry and chose to initiate this conversation via text to my personal cell phone. I have never experienced such a lack of professionalism, tact or class when dealing with a hairdresser. Her people skills are lacking at best. I would not only refuse to recommend her to ANYONE but I would go so far as to say stay as far away from this particular stylist at all cost. You will be overcharged, bullied, personally attacked and hustled. Thankfully I saw it for what it was and didn't fall for it. Hopefully this will keep other unsuspecting innocent people from falling for it as well. read more
