The day before I stopped by to find out the price for a color and to sneak a peak at the work the stylists were doing. Once I had the attention of the stylist that I thought I wanted to work with, I spoke with her about the services and prices. I agreed to come in the next day at 3 pm when she arrived. Since there are no appointments, it was my goal to be her first customer of the day. Successful with this. She told me that she was able to do the color that I had and it would match just fine. Well turns out, they don't use the same brand of color and the color that was used was not the color that I was looking for. My previous color was a copper red and what I have now is more of a burgundy red than a copper red. Definitely off base here. I'm told that as time goes on and the color washes away, it will lighten and "be the same" as my previous color. I'm no colorist so I am doubtful of that. At any rate, my color isn't horrible -- I mean I didn't ask for it to be redone/change or anything -- it is actually starting to "grow on me" a little bit. Although, I do wish it to be lighter (and obviously more copper in hue), I am going to keep it for now. We did get to spray each other with hairspray... Apparently some of my color dripped on the seat and later I unknowingly sat in it. She put hairspray on it -- I guess that keeps the color from setting in the fabric and it should come out in the wash. A good tip to know. Later we discovered her arm was colored -- my turn to spray her. Hmmm. After the color, she trimmed my hair and did a blow out. I did receive good and attentive customer service so no complaints there. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. For now, if I decide to keep this color I think that I will go back. I won't have any real motivation to find another colorist until I have "roots". :P Of the 3 or 4 quotes that I received before making a decision, the prices here were the most reasonable. **overdue update, 5/2/2014** ...In my defense I did say "I'm no colorist...", but I have to say that she was right. After a number of shampoos (about 3-5), the color did lighten to the color that I had/wanted. I think that I'm a fan...I just hope that she still works there when I go for a touch-up!

We stumbled across BJ Healthcare Massage and Spa and saw great reviews, but wanted to call and ensure we could get an appointment before purchasing since we are only visiting for the week. We tried calling the night before they closed, but no answer. I came on Yelp and decided to send a message to the owner. The owner wrote me back the next morning and told me to keep trying to call. Unfortunately, I still had no luck, so I told her and she stated she would send a message to the office. Shortly, I received a call from the receptionist, Rosie, and she was able to get us booked same day. Later on, Bo explained they have limited staff due to COVID-19, but to be persistent in calling or texting the number to schedule. They actually ended up having a special on the couple's massages ($105 plus $15 per person for deep tissue massage), so we were able to book with them directly. Rosie got us all booked for 5:15 P.M., but I asked her to give me a call if they had any cancellations. Surprisingly, I received a call that we could come at 4:45 P.M. instead of 5:15 P.M., so it worked out perfectly. Prior to our arrival, Rosie sent a text, confirming our appointment and a link to pay the $30 deposit. So we were all set for our massages. Once we arrived, we went up the stairs to the spa area. This place was really easy to find and not far from where we are staying. We were greeted by Barbara and Bo, who were providing our massages for the day. From the time we arrived to the time we left, Barbara and Bo went above and beyond with the customer service. They were so nice and attentive. My boyfriend and I have been leery of getting massages right now due to COVID-19, but Barbara and Bo truly made us feel comfortable and safe, as they were adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. From the beginning to the end, we truly enjoyed our time here. While we were waiting, they offered us tea and sat us down in the waiting area. The waiting area was so nice and relaxing. Once they were ready, they put us in our massage room to change and get ready for the massage. Barbara provided my boyfriend's massage and Bo provided my massage. We upgraded to a 60-minute deep tissue massage since we hadn't had a massage in awhile. This massage also came with a foot scrub, cupping and hot stone placement. Cupping was a new technique, we had never tried before, but Bo was knowledgeable about the service and was able to answer all of our questions. They both made sure the right pressure was being applied throughout our massages and that we were relaxed/comfortable. They both took their time and we didn't feel rushed at all. At the end, Bo chatted with us and provided tips to ensure continued relaxation following our massages. If we lived in Orlando, we would definitely become regular clients. Overall, we had an amazing experience! Great customer service, clean facility, and nice staff.
