Scheduled an appointment last week for today at 4 PM because they had no availability last week. I gave the receptionist my phone number and my name so she booked the appointment ... I never got a confirmation text for the appointment nor reminders.. so I called today the day of the appointment at 10 AM and confirmed if my appointment was still in the system and the receptionist confirmed it was at 4 PM. I come to the appointment right on time and turns out Jocelyn was overbooked and couldn't do my hair coloring. When I spoke on the phone to book the appointment I said I wanted hair coloring. Jocelyn stated that I was booked for highlights.. I never said I wanted highlights. Point is-- I didn't get my hair done because Jocelyn was over booked and they allegedly tried calling me and spoke to a different Cindy.. but how do they make this mistake when I gave them my right phone number ?! Idk. Jocelyn said she can do my color and Brazilian a week later. Yeah that's a NO. Complete waste of my time. Not coming back. Avante Garde in a Downey is now my spot of choice again. read more

I am really disappointed in this Hair Salon, I made a haircut appointment for the next day at 2:00 pm with Jocelyn and when I got there at the time of my appointment she was working with someone else, she told me that someone could do me hair or that she cut my hair and someone else dried it, I accepted because I had a lot of things to do, I told her I wanted it in layers and bangs, I showed her a photo of how I wanted it and it was the same type of hair as mine and she cut a layer to the bottom but it seems that I only cut the tips of my hair because it looks the same as my hair had, I paid $70 for the tips? (I only left $10 tip, the total was $60) I better cut them myself at home for that, maybe she just did that because she was working with both at the same time. read more

I LOVE my new look Lupe! I've been going to Relini for about 4months now... I came here after a bad experience and I couldn't be happier. On my first appointment I went in for a color correction and Lupe asked if I had considered a hair cut. I had been thinking about it for a while now, and when she mentioned it I wanted it even more but, a bit undecided for the big change. WelI, finally got it done! and my only regret was not getting my bob done sooner! Now, I can't wait to go lighter on my ombre. I strongly recommend Lupe, she is great at what she does and really takes care of you and the integrity of your hair! Never the less the Salon is very nice clean and modern. read more

I had a hair emergency. I usually trim it myself or have a friend touch up my undercut. I had about 3 inches of dead hair and decided to finally let a professional cut my hair. This was a last minute decision and I needed to find a salon that was open Sundays. A quick search on Yelp brought me here. Such a professional and clean salon. Diana (the super helpful assistant up front) was very responsive and friendly. I spoke to her and asked for an available stylist who worked Sunday and she advised Paola would be available. I asked if Paola knows how to work with curly hair and she said yes. Paola could not have been sweeter!! She made me feel super welcomed from our first encounter. I gave her a quick rundown of my lack of hair upkeep and pretty much asked if she can just touch me up. I went from looking like a hot mess to loving my silky hair. I was very happy with how Paola treated me today. I will definitely be returning to see her more often as I'm sure I found myself a new stylist! Diana kindly provided a pamphlet of other services the salon has to offer. This salon offers nail, lashes, makeup, facials, waxing/threading, massage and tanning services!!!! I scheduled an appointment to get a haircut. I was on time for my appointment. I showed Clarissa my photo inspo. & mention to her my hair was thin. I ended up requesting a hair treatment, cut and style. 1 hour in to my hair cut her next client arrived. A lady approached her and gave her a look and she started hurrying up. At this point I'm guessing she's in charge or the owner. While working on my hair the receptionist asked her if she was going to have time for the next client. Clarissa started thinning my hair when I told her my hair was thin. She blow dry my hair & put oil and I was done. Didn't even style it. At this point I was very upset for the poor customer services & the crappy job. I'm definitely not going there again. Now I have to wait for my hair to grow & get a better service somewhere else. read more

I've been coming here for years because we're family friends with the co-owner Lynn. My mom gets her hair cut by Rene. No offense I don't like it. It looks great when she walks out of the salon but when it grows out you can tell it's not well cut (layers wise). Asian hair is really thick but the layers are choppy when they grow out. I also have had my hair cut by Laura before whom was his student. I come here for Laura's curls. Her curls are amazing. She's the only person I trust with my updos or any hairdo I need for any event. Her curls will last you the whole night! I'll also only come here for Lynn's facials. As for hair cuts, I'm sorry but I've converted to the Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills. read more

First time here 3 months ago, in July. Paola did my hair, loved it. I had it super dark brown since I had just dyed it a month before, so I knew I wasn't going to be able to get super light, which was okay because the color she got it to was great. Not what I expected. I did a walk in so I take full responsibility. I wanted two inches off my mid back length hair and came out with the Rachel haircut. I knew it wasn't going to be amazing when I got one of the youngest stylist, Lupe. Nice girl, average job, but the profanity coming out of her was surprising. We had what I would call pleasant small talk but I noticed she kept saying f this or f'n amongst other choice words that made me very uncomfortable. I don't look very reserved and am not too old so perhaps she felt comfortable, but I found it very unprofessional. She asked where I used to get my hair done and I mentioned Ken Paves and a different one in the same area, but i didn't want to drive and only wanted two inches off. It was odd when I mentioned Ken Paves and she had no clue who he is or where his salon is. Found it interesting since he's made such a name in the industry. All in all, not the worst experience I've had. I was charged $50 dollars which seems about right with what I got. The layered hair does look like an old cheap style. The blowout was painful as she hit my head with the brush many times. Will not be back. Lesson learned. read more
