Now comes the worse part, when she needed changed direction to cut me instead of kindly request or gently guide the directions, she pushed my head around real hard, as if operating a machine, kept sending orders: "look down, really down and stay there!" A more reassuring and collaborative approach would have made a big difference. Shortly after, I was informed that the service would cost $160, which was significantly higher than the quoted estimate I received when booking. This was not clearly explained beforehand, which added to my frustration. During the application process, I felt the service was rushed and lacked attention to detail. The color was slapped onto my head --within about 15-20 minutes--and it felt careless at times, as I ended up with color on my sweatshirt and hands. We're definitely not the easiest clients either; my sister and I have hair thicker than Chewbacca and my mom's hair is as curly as you can imagine. Michelle has always done a wonderful job cutting our hair, providing ideas when we didn't know what we even wanted to do with it, and altogether being someone who we can easily spend three hours laughing and chatting with, she is such a positive energy. Even now that my sister and I go to school hundreds of miles away, we wait for when we come home to get our hair done. 5 stars definitely doesn't do justice to the years of service that Michelle has provided my family and I, she deserves 100 at least.
