My wife & I have eaten here several times, but today was not a pleasant experience at all. I ordered a combination plate as usual. I received my food promptly as usual and started to eat it, when I noticed a urine taste/smell in the beef enchiladas. I then tried the beef taco and the same smell/taste applied as well. I asked my wife to check the food smell and taste, and she said something was wrong with it. I notified the waiter and advised something was wrong with the food and he said "you're kidding, right?" I advised him I was not kidding and he went and got another associate to see me. The other associate asked what was wrong and I told him the food was no good, and had an awful taste. He asked did I want another plate or something else and I told him I didn't. He said he would check the food in the back for any problems. The remainder of the time I sat while my wife finished her food and not once did the staff come back to check on us for refills or anything. When the waiter did come back he brought our bill and said you can pay up front. No apologies for my bad experience, no offer for a carry out box for my wife. He just put the bill on the table and left. When we went up front to pay, the associate that came over earlier that I told the food was bad, offered no apology or anything to retain our business. This was my last visit to this place. It was bad enough that the food was bad, but to not even be courteous enough to make sure my wife was taken care of afterwards with refills & a carry out box was the straw that broke the camels back to tell me how unappreciative they are to their regular customers. read more

I am sorry that I am late to reviewing, I had hoped this place had closed up. I tried it the very first week it opened, the food smelled bad and tasted even worse. I had just purchased a few beef burritos and rice, all night after that I could not get the bad taste off my lips. I love great mexican food, this is not it. Stay clear of this place. read more

Pretty typical Mexican. I had beef nachos and beef tacos both of which were incredibly bland. Salsa was not bad. My wife got a small cheese dip con carne which for $3.50 was way too small and suspiciously devoid of actual carne. We will not be returning. read more

My husband was out and about and I just asked for him to pick me up something where he went to lunch. It was decent. Most Mexican tastes the same to me. Well, my mother, her friend and I went to eat and play trivia. We didn't complain, but two of our orders were not done right. My mother asked for a grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla. They made a grilled chicken quesadilla with cheese poured over it not in it. My mother's friend ordered some meal with broccoli and it was cold and severely under cooked. (Why is there a dish with broccoli at a Mexican restaurant anyway?) I've always been a huge El Jalisciense fan (as has half of WR) and if nothing sets Salsa's apart they will be closed within a year or two. There's nothing to call home about here. read more

Alright spot. This is the go to spot for many celebrations for base personnel. I enjoyed they house special. I tried the steak tacos and the steak was super dry. I don't like how they put queso on everything. Coming from Texas, the Mexican food in Georgia is not even close to the same. That being said, Salsa's food has a lot more flavor and heat to it compared to the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The service is always good, and their margaritas are tasty. read more

I ordered to go and it was ready in 5 minutes (too good to be true). By the time I drove home, 10 minutes, the food was cold which makes me question if it was pre made. On a good note take out comes with chips and great salsa. The food was good for being GA. read more

First off, I love authentic Mexican food (specifically salsa). Growing up in a household with a chef that learned how to cook Mexican from the best in San Francisco, decent priced Mexican restaurants in Atlanta seem the same, nothing special, and bland. My wife and I took a trip to Warner Robins to see her family for her birthday, and they insisted we try this Mexican restaurant after taking us to a couple of duds with sub par flavor and service (Jail Science, La Cabana) during other recent trips. They took us to this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in their Kroger complex. The atmosphere was unexpectedly open and charming. The menu was decently priced. The service was quick and friendly. Food was flavorful. They even celebrated my wife's birthday. What won me over... the salsa! This salsa reminded me of home. Salsa's is definitely named appropriately. Will definitely be going back! read more

My mother and I ate here tonight 5/21/16 for the first time after reading reviews on Yelp. We've been eating at another Mexican restaurant in the area so we were hesitant to try a new place. We weren't disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere were better than we expected. We had Salsa's taco salad. Delicious. The salsa had just the right amount of heat. Our waiter recommended dessert and we chose the fried ice cream. We shared and had some leftover. We will definitely return. Easy access to the restaurant and the area itself. read more

We've been back 2-3 times since my original review on this restaurant, and unfortunately, it's beginning to seem as though our earlier experience here was the exception rather than the rule. The food has gone from great (in our first couple of visits) to just okay to not very good on our last visit. Nothing bad enough to send back, but not good enough to make me come back either. And the margaritas (sigh)...I got a couple of pretty good ones earlier, but apparently only some of the employees know how to make one, and we've not been lucky on our later trips with those. The last two times we were in, the things were simply undrinkable. And the manager/supervisor was pretty rude about us complaining about them, so I'm not sure we'll be giving them another chance to figure it out or not. It's not like there aren't tons of other Mexican-style eating places in the Warner Robins area to choose from. If you choose to stop in, I'd stick to drinking beer if I were you. read more

I went there today at around 4:45 PM. When I arrived with my party of five, we waited patiently for our orders to be taken and for our food to arrive. I ordered the vegetable and rice dish (I can't remember the exact name, it was my first time eating there. It was right beneath the vegetable fajitas on the menu), which was under the vegetarian section of their menu. When the food arrived at about 5:13 PM, there was a piece of raw chicken at the edge of my plate. The gentleman that brought my food out agreed that it was indeed raw chicken and said that he would have it remade. I sent it back, and about 4-8 minutes later it was brought back out. I was suspicious of how quick it returned, after it took about 20-25 minutes to come out the first time, especially since it was one of the last dishes to be brought out. Despite this, my parents reassured me that it was probably just prepare rice and veggies, and that they did remake it. I trusted them, let the issue of RAW MEAT BEING IN A VEGETARIAN DISH go, and ate about a third of my meal at the restaurant. When I got home, I decided to eat a little bit more as part of a late night snack. Because it needed to be reheated, I throughly mixed it so it would heat evenly. Due to this, I wasn't really paying much attention to what I was eating and what was on my fork, since it should have just been a veggie-rice-cheese mixture. About halfway through the entire dish, I tastes something funky. The texture was definitely off from the zucchini and broccoli in the dish, and it tasted off. I spit it out, and under closer examination found it to be a piece of chicken. Unfortunately, the distinguishable amount left that hadn't been chewed was small, as it was just a tiny cube of chicken. Despite this, it was very clearly chicken. You could smell it, you could feel it in the texture with your fingers, and I had tasted it. You could see that it tore like chicken, too, something few to no vegetables can do, especially not without intentionally imitating meat (which this dish did not advertise doing.) I was obviously outraged, and called asking to speak with the manager. The gentleman who picked up was the same gentleman who took back my food, and he said the manager was unavailable. When I explained the situation, he proceeded to argue and speak over me saying I could watch the cameras and that they remade the dish. I stayed calm and let him finished the spill, and at the end said, "Okay, whatever the circumstances of my at home experience was, do you agree that there was raw meat in my dish to begin with when you brought it out?" He said yes, and that he talked with the staff about it. I told him I would be back soon to discuss the following issues 1) That there would be raw meat/CHICKEN ESPECIALLY sent out from the kitchen 2) that there was meat in a vegetarian dish and 3) THERE WAS RAW MEAT IN A VEGETARIAN DISH 4) that their kitchen was so sloppy that meat somehow ended up in my meal a second time (a point that somehow still seems up to debate in his mind, because this is something I would obviously make up after already paying over $70 and leaving the restaurant.) I'm going to keep the small scrap of chicken I have left to return, but the fact is I'm not looking for my money back or anything. I'm just looking for a sincere apology and for them to admit that there are several things wrong with this experience. I'm genuinely upset and disgusted, I should have known to stop eating when they sent out the raw chicken. Lesson learned, but I will still be returning to talk with management in person to try and resolve this issue and prevent it from happening to other customers in the future. read more
