Visited Salt & Honey on a Sunday around 1 p.m. for brunch. We were a party of two and waited about 30 minutes for a table, which wasn't too bad. One thing I really appreciated was that they have a coffee bar where you can grab a drink while you wait. It definitely made the time pass more quickly. I ordered an iced Seafoam Vanilla Latte with almond milk. Somehow it was made with oat milk instead, but it was still delicious and not overly sweet. Natalie was our server, and she was wonderful. Honestly, the entire staff deserves recognition. Everyone who walked by our table checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the service feel genuinely warm and attentive. I started with the Salt & Honey Seafood Chowder, and it was outstanding. I'd come back for that alone. I couldn't help but think how incredible it would be served over a bowl of white rice on a cold winter evening. For my entrée, I had the Salted Honey French Toast with sausage and hash browns. The French toast was just a little dry, and the crust was tougher than I prefer, but the flavor itself was very good. The sausage was slightly overcooked, and while the hash browns weren't particularly flavorful, they also weren't bad enough to take away from the meal. One small suggestion: the bathroom stalls could really use hooks for jackets or bags. It's a minor detail, but one that makes a difference. Overall, I'd definitely come back, especially for that seafood chowder. Great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and several standout menu items make Salt & Honey worth a visit.

Love this place. We could tell that the locals come here. I had two eggs over medium, sausage links, fresh fruit and a cat's head biscuit. The eggs were cooked correctly. The honeydew melon in the fruit was old otherwise the fruit was good. The biscuit was the star! Named after the restaurant. Nice place! My sister had the French toast with bacon and loved it!

My husband was excited to try this place so he made it happen for us. This past Saturday we arrived just before 9:00 a.m. and was able to be seated without any wait time. Myself my husband and my mother... we sat in a booth and our server was Andre. Andre was magnificent attentive informative... if we had any questions he was able to answer them if he wasn't able to answer them he went and found the answer and reported back...super friendly service service with a smile. Andre is awesome! My mom asked for some suggestions and Andre made some suggestions but my husband already knew what he wanted to order and I think I had my mind made up as well. My husband ordered the pork chop meal I ordered the shrimp and grits meal and my mom ordered the skillet of some sort. Our food arrived I would say probably within 15 minutes it didn't take long at all. The restaurant wasn't that busy during this time I would say it was about four or five other party's dining in not sure if anybody was dining in the adjacent coffee shop but I believe it's separate from the restaurant so it didn't affect the wait time or anything. There is outdoor seating and I don't think many guests if any were dining during this time. But 90 minutes later the crowd started to pick up. Around 8:00 9:00 a.m. I think it's the time to go if you are planning to go especially on a Saturday not sure if reservations are accepted this is a fairly new restaurant so I would imagine that reservations are not accepted at this time but you can always call and find out. This past Saturday they received their "Spirits" license so we were able to partake in some Spirits for breakfast even though it's 5:00 somewhere I said why not let's just see what we can see. There was no Crown Royal but they did have Jack Daniels so he ordered that and they only had two brands of tequila but three finishes so I opted to try the casaMigos Blanco with cranberry ... typical beverages ... loved the crushed ice. This is a family style restaurant so definitely keep that in mind. The food... My husband loved his pork chops he ate every bit of his meal. Me, I do love shrimp and grits however I am not a fan of the cheesy grits so I really had no business ordering this or I should have asked if I could get the Grits without the cheese but it was still good. If you do like cheesy grits this is a good option for you I did ask for them to put jalapeno and hot honey in my dish... The shrimp were super succulent so you can never go wrong with those shrimp and it was given like a Cajun Creole blackened type vibe so definitely try that if you do like cheesy grits I do recommend that. My dish also came with a biscuit but instead of the biscuit I asked for the sourdough toast and I haven't eaten bread in at least four months but this sourdough bread was so good so worth it. I only finished half of my plate and took the remainder home with me but later on I only ate the shrimp that was left I didn't even finish the Grits... If we do dine here again I probably would get the same meal but I would just order regular grits and not cheesy grits and opt to put butter and salt and pepper in my grits. My mom she ordered the skillet. I'm not sure what she thought it was going to be but it was definitely corned beef and not corned beef hash. I think she was looking for the corned beef hash that comes in the can so that was definitely see the mix up there. But looking at her meal it was super boring and I don't think she would be ordering that again. Her food was in a skillet but I guess it was just the aesthetic of it but it wasn't given Skillet cooked... don't know what the concept is right here. She did order a pancake and enjoyed the pancake very much with melted butter so that was suffice for her. I would suggest this restaurant if you want to try something new. Definitely check out the menu before you go to see if there's something that would be of interest for you. This was about an hour drive for us so if my husband was to ask where do you want to go for breakfast or brunch I don't think this would be my first choice but I know he enjoyed it so if we were to come back here again I would order my same meal just minus the cheesy grits Parking...valet is what we saw when we pulled up Have have fun and enjoy life :)

Just adding what I had today for breakfast. This is quickly becoming my go to breakfast spot.love the service i get from the bartenders, and the whole vibe with old school music and relaxing atmosphere.

Chicken Benedict. Biscuits (exceptional), poached eggs, and incredible sausage gravy. Cowboy potatoes on the side.

Holy Honey, this place is great. Tried several times to come, but it gets so busy, the wait can reach an hour on the weekend. We now know why! Lived in VB for over 20 years, and this is our new favorite breakfast spot. Original takes, fantastic food and service.

We had a large party that went for brunch on a Saturday to celebrate our friend's birthday. We knew it would be a wait but we got drinks and sat in the back outside area while we waited and luckily the weather was pleasant. The owner came and talked to us a few times during our visit and was so accommodating and nice to our large party. Lacy was our server and she was amazing! Every staff member we encountered was polite and friendly. Now let's talk about the food. We got the cinnamon roll skillet and salt and honey biscuits as appetizers to share....delicious. The shrimp and grits, chicken and biscuits, the breakfast board, and the pork chop breakfast were all outstanding! The coffees and drinks were very good. We will definitely visit again!

Great service. Great food. Great vibes. Great coffee. Great experience (shout out to valet for setting the tone). Great atmosphere. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We will be back over and over again!

Delicious! Sunday brunch did not disappoint and I will definitely be back! We enjoyed multiple items and everyone enjoyed their meals. The portion size is on the larger scale and good for the price point. I would suggest you get there early or bring patience as it can get very busy. Parking can be a nightmare even with Valet on the weekends. The small parking lot is the only negative for me.

We went here because of a review. We were in VA Beach so figured we'd check it out! We always love valet parking so that was a plus. We went in and I like the way it was decorated. It was simple yet classic. It appeared to be clean so HUGE for me (I'm a germaphobe). I ordered fish tacos. The fish was very lightly fried which was good. I didn't care for the other things in the taco. It was hot and melted instead of fresh and crispy. I pulled the fish out and ate that. Fries were really good and I'm not a fry person! Hubby had crab cake sandwich and pasta salad. He loved both. I tasted his pasta salad and liked it very much! Our server was very kind (everyone there was!) but it kind of freaked me out (I'm a germaphobe) that their fingers when serving were near the rim of my glass and over the edge of my plate while serving and their fingernails were not clean. I know this is a me problem but I cannot unsee that once I see it. All in all... we will be back to try breakfast!

Been here three times for brunch and it does not disappoint! The manager/part owner/motivator Mark working in the kitchen is hilarious and tentative! The food and coffee are both amazing! Items tried were the build-your-own burrito, chicken salad wrap, biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, stuffed PB&J French toast all were amazing!! Ambiance is great with the exception of a large group of women sitting near the back bar being extremely loud setting off the load noise alert on our watches. Groups of that size should be required to sit outside. A must try because we will definitely be back!

Spectacular!!! Food is great, staff are friendly and on point.... But the real focal point.. their cold brew White Russian.... I've never had anything like it.. cold brew with cold foam... like little angels kissing my tongue!!!! This place is a sure go to from now on.

This review actually has two great businesses because I visited Klassic Doughnut's food truck too! Ok first things first. Every Wednesday through this Summer Klassic Doughnuts food stand will be available at COVA 8-11 AM. They are in my opinion the best cake doughnuts in our area. They are a major draw for COVA. I purchased a few to go. With COVA I specifically wanted to try their coffee. I was blown away upon arrival to see their outdoor space. It's huge and beautiful. On a weekday at 11 AM without school even out was busy! The counter service was helpful and friendly. I told the staff I wanted a black coffee and was directed to what beans were being offered. I opted for an Ethiopian pour over. The coffee comes in a large and priced competitive. It took a bit with being busy and a pour over, but boy was the wait worth it. Probably the best coffee I've had in any recent memory and I drink a lot of coffee. The space inside is compact, but they offer a side patio that's covered too! COVA is late to offering coffee, maybe 5 years or so. However, they are established with brewing award winning beer. I chatted with a female brewer a minute who was so sweet and invited me back for a glass. They also have a bakery case with offerings that looked good. So I need to return. So exciting to share such a gem in East Beach. Parking may be an issue, but off street neighborhood streets are available.
