Super friendly staff immediately on entering the restaurant and throughout the night. They had a live singer outside, beautiful views of the mountains, would definitely recommend sitting outside weather permitting. Food was all excellent, plating spectacular. Menu is relatively small but food tastes fresh and authentic. Do be aware food may take a little extra time to come out but is worth it. The restaurant is also next to a large farm so when the cows come to visit it may get a bit stinky but they are cute and I think add to the experience. Drink menu and wine list is also good.

I would've given this place 5 stars, but their customer service is lacking. My family was visiting from out of town and we attempted to go to this place twice and both times they refused to let us order takeout, saying the window had closed at 6PM even though they had just opened at 5PM. However, they said there was plenty of room for us to dine in. I get the impression this restaurant frowns on takeout requests. Our first experience a few months ago was very pleasant. We ordered to-go and a nice young woman helped us out with our order. This time around, a gentleman turned us down on two separate days. Having had their food only once, I can say it was enjoyable. In summary, we won't be going back to this place. The poor customer service soured the experience.

It's like being invited to dinner at a friend's home. Your friend happens to be the chef and you can order whatever you want, seafood, stews, grilled or baked. It gets better , you are served and will not be asked to do the dishes. 10 acres is the best restaurant in Stowe. You will not be disappointed and your whole family will be happy and discreetly served.

The quintessential Vermont Country Inn. Broad wooden floors, exposed wooden beams, cozy fireplaces, craft cocktails, craft beers, and thanks to a Corivin system, an impressive selection of wine by the glass. A wonderful menu and a creative chef, and an attentive owner help make this a "must" when in Stowe.

Please ignore the negative reviews. I was so blown away by the service, plating and the quality and taste of each dish that we came back here a week later for my birthday. The portions are copious. I overate the first time, so decided to enjoy my meal more the second time, by ordering a lot less food. The soup of the day on my second visit was a cheddar ale. It was a rich velouté with the perfect amount of cheddar and ale. Our server suggested a cup versus the bowl, since we were ordering dinner, but I could see the bowl being a dinner in itself. The Truffle fries are addictive as are the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, which have a nice, spicy kick. The cider glazed tenderloin was tender and tasty, as were its accoutrements. I've never tasted better or creamier polenta. The Mediterranean Duck Confit with beet hummus and raison couscous: the entire dish was so good that I overindulged versus take half of it home. I'll do better next visit. We ordered the the chocolate mousse cake for dessert (I have the name wrong, cannot recall its actual name) and it was perfect to share with two spoons. The flavors of every dish are a perfect marriage and it's like a symphony in your mouth (think of Rémy in Ratatouille; those type of in your mouth fireworks). It is a more expensive evening out, but it's well worth it. It's a new favorite spot.

Amazing experience. Thankfully, I went on a slower night so I got to talk to the staff. They are so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back the next time in Stowe. House Salad was VERY good. Unique, with a maple vinaigrette, crunch onions, sunflower seeds, and strawberries. Such a good mix of sweet and salty. The squash bisque (I think that's what it was) with a brown sugar rim: wonderful. Salmon was beautifully plated with potatoes and some very well seasoned pieces of pork. 5/5 all around.

Yeah... it's like a 10. Seriously amazing food. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Vintage houses/ building with incredible views. I had the tartar and a cod special. All the flavors are on point and prepared in a way that you know someone takes their craft very seriously. If you decide not to go and try the bistro at 10 acres then you really don't care about eating great food.

The poutine was very good, but I'll grant you that it's maybe hard to get that wrong - but their gravy is on point! Service was great - got there around 5:40pm on a Wednesday, so the wait was non-existent and a table for 5 was easy to accommodate. Duncan was the server, who disclosed that he was new but you wouldn't know it from how he took orders and brought food out. Even threw him a curve by asking for the steak frites with an additional side of brussel sprouts, which he handled no problem - even though there weren't any sides I saw on the menu. Steak was medium rare and perfectly seasoned, and I think I mentioned the chimichurri but it deserves additional mention. Maybe you're wondering about beverages. The maple lemonade is great - it leans harder on the tart side and there are sweeter options around (Cliff House) but I love a lemonade that tastes... lemony. Pineapple cherry punch was also a hit - but that's secondhand hearsay, unlike my direct opinion on the chimichurri - which I would drink if I could. Definitely check this place out. The table near ours seemed to immensely enjoy their meal and also get great service from Duncan.

They use the Yelp waitlist, but I couldn't join it until we showed up to the restaurant, which was a little confusing. We ended up sitting at the counter by the wood fire, which was neat to watch. Our server (Jenn) was awesome. My drink was very pricy ($18), but it was pretty tasty. Everything was absolutely delicious - we got a Mac & cheese and 2 burgers with fries. I love that it's all farm-to-table. Would absolutely eat here again and *highly* recommend it.

Every bit of food was prepared just right. We did eat a pineapple salad that was so fresh and crisp and not overly dressed, which was on the Specials menu. I also ate the Halibut for my main course, which was also on the Specials menu. This was nicely done as well. My wife ate the pork tenderloin, from the regular menu, and it was delicious. The coup de grâce was the dessert. The ice cream of the day, which was an maple gingersnap flavor was outstanding, and carrot cake was hands down the best I have had in my life! The service was good, fast and efficient. If you are looking for a very good, but not inexpensive meal, we would absolutely recommend Harrison's.

Con - none of the 4 of us even liked our meals - they were inedible. We descended the narrow steep staircase into the dark dining room; outdoor seating was not open. The waitress promptly brought us menus and waters. There was a good variety of wines and we settled on the Sancerre. Charging for bread is not a good trend so $10 for 4 Parker House Rolls was disappointing. We also ordered the mussels and asiago fries. The chef seems to favor creamy white wine sauces - the added cream adds a heavy taste without adding flavor. The shrimp & sausage on mushroom ravioli had the cream sauce and cubes of sausage. The pasta primavera also had the cream sauce. It was super bland. We added chicken (see the photo of the chicken breast added to the top side of the dish not cooked in the dish). The salmon and its corresponding carrots were spiced with bebere which is very mild but not particularly enjoyable. And finally, the grilled rib-eye was bad, really bad. It was gelatinous and the worst steak we've ever had. I've only ever seen a steak cooked like this when it's cooked at too low a heat. We fed the leftover steak, chicken, and salmon to the dog.

It was intriguing to peek behind the curtain and they even offer paid tours. All of the workers we encountered were pleasant and enthusiastic about the products. We loved the chill vibe of the location, as they had an open outdoors area with seating and lawn games, including disc golf and corn hole. There was also an outdoor patio with a couch and stage for live performances. It was a place I could see myself kicking back at on the regular if I were local to the area. The location was not serving food when we visited though a food truck was located on site and said it would be opening in May. They did have complementary bags of pretzels available for guests to take. We also enjoyed the gift shop and the fun merch for sale. We purchased a hat. My husband enjoyed his beer and regrets not purchasing a four pack to take home.
