    Grilled chicken breast
    J Warren R.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the grilled chicken breast -- tender, and juicy with lots of flavors from the rub. The salad was also fresh and tasty. For a chain the food was really good. The place is popular as well and on a recent Sunday, it was hard to find a seat, other than the bar. The service was friendly, helpful and pleasant. However, I must state, the place is very large and very loud. There are several large screen Televisions, if you can't miss your sports.

All in all not a bad place. My steak and shrimp came out perfectly cooked. My wife's ribs were good, with meat falling the bone. My smoked mac n cheese was watery and not served hot. They replaced it and the second one was much better. The biggest issue was the manager going into a big story blaming corporate for making things difficult! I don't care. We had a saying in the military: "I don't want to hear about the labor pains, just show me the baby!" Haha. Anyhow, our waitresses, Ashlin, was awesome.

Our server was Breanna, really nice and friendly and the supporting staff as well. Food was excellent and management was on top of things. We appreciate the hospitality especially on the last and busiest day of the year. We will be coming back for sure

Inundated with numerous Big Texan steak challenge billboards but opted for Saltgrass instead. So pleased we did as this was a refreshing respite from a long road trip. Super friendly staff, helpful with tons of suggestions. Food was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Relaxed casual atmosphere with plenty of tables to accommodate larger parties. Will definitely revisit this location when traveling through Amarillo.

I love coming to Saltgrass and this visit was terrific! The service was excellent--our server was attentive and friendly--and the food was absolutely on point. Always a great experience here, and I'll definitely be back.

My sister and fam ate here a few years ago on a trip just before Covid hit, loved it, so it was picked for dinner replenishment on our way southwest. Delicious Fried Pickles app. The light breading was awesome and had a tad spice/some heat - just a tad - and fit the role great; good dill ranch dipping sauce, too! I ordered their Chicken Laredo dish, but the side salad filled me up, so this dish was breakfast the next day. I thought the dish had waaaaaay too much spice/heat, I wasn't able to taste anything distinguishing, which is a huge turnoff for me. Most of it went in the trash.

Great lighting , wonderful interesting pictures around the whole place along with moose's and animals it also had a great gift shop ! Fun to watch the people taking on the 72 oz challenge. There were 2 guys going around the tables playing music and it felt very uncomfortable how they were right in the personal space of the people seated at the ends. It didn't feel like the performers were very comfortable either. Husband ordered a steak medium rare, but it came out WELL DONE. Lady in the party next to us had to send her steak back to the kitchen not once, but TWICE. We are not high maintenance people. This is just a touristy place where the staff have to churn a high volume of customers each day. So quality is probably going to fall to the wayside. Also, I got the beef tips and mashed potatoes which comes with 2 sides. I got the hatch chile creamed corn, and the steak tomato and onion. The creamed corn was BLAND and the steak tomato with onion was just a raw tomato with a dash of salt and pepper and 3 rings of RAW PURPLE ONION. I thought the tomato would be blistered and the onion grilled???!! And the kicker was that the waitress gave us the wrong receipt for our order. (Which yes, when you're serving so many different tables, chances are you're going to have mix ups). They have some fun games in the outdoor seating area like Cornhole and connect 4, but it smelt like sewage outside. Redeeming factor is that the bread rolls are warm, tasty, and complimentary. And the beers are adequately priced and a good selection.

If you are looking for white tablecloths, subtle lighting, or a quiet place to whisper sweet…read morenothings, keep driving past Coyote Bluff Cafe (often locally called the "Coyote Bluu" or simply "The Bluff") in Amarillo, Texas. But if your idea of culinary heaven involves a grease-stained paper liner, an old-school Texas roadhouse vibe, and a burger that requires structural support, you have arrived at the right place. Nestled just a few blocks off Interstate 40 in a historic, diminutive former dance hall moved wholesale from neighboring Claude, Texas, Coyote Bluff is tiny. With only about 12 tables packed into its 1,000 square feet, the atmosphere is alive with a loud, friendly hum, a dirt parking lot, and a vintage bathtub floating full of ice and cold beer bottles. The place is amazing!!!! The unique steaming process is really amazing. You have to try the chili cheese fries to go with it. The menu keeps its focus tight, centering around half-pound patties of lean Texas ground beef cooked to order. While traditional options like the Hickory Burger and the Green Chili Cheese Burger are stellar, the undisputed heavyweight titleholder here is the legendary Burger from Hell. I had to try it, my wife opted for the Chicken Fried Steak. Many approach the "Hell Burger" with great trepidation, expecting it to be more of a gimmick built strictly on painful, mouth-numbing heat. Instead, it offers a beautifully layered flavor profile. The beef patty with Tabasco and their proprietary "Coyote Hell Sauce," then smothers it in gooey melted cheese, grilled onions, and fresh, vibrant sautéed jalapeños. It arrived on a toasted onion bun, it lands a solid 7 out of 10 on the heat scale. But rather than scorching your palate, it wraps it in a vinegary, spicy, deeply savory warmth. This place also serves up classic, heavy-hitting Texas roadhouse appetizers: Each of these are amazing sides and are worth of mentioning, First the Cheese Fries with Green Chiles, which I had with my burger and my wife had with her Chicken fried steak, it is served on a massive aluminum platter, these fresh-cut fries are heavily blanketed in melted cheese and mild green chiles. They are a mandatory companion to the burgers.  Other appetizers worth of note, are the Texas Red Chili & Green Chili Stew: The thick, hearty green chili stew is packed with meat and mild green peppers, offering a wonderful warming comfort, especially during cool Panhandle days.  and any of the Fried options ranging from baskets of battered fried pickles, garlic mushrooms, and stuffed jalapeños. Because everything is cooked to order and the dining room is incredibly compact, expect a wait during lunch rushes or weekends. However, that time spent waiting in the dirt lot among locals and passing road-trippers is part of the charm. Coyote Bluff Cafe doesn't try to be anything other than a spectacular, small-town Texas burger joint, and it executes that identity flawlessly. This is a MUST Stop in Texas

Looked this up for a great new place to eat on a drive through Amarillo. It did not disappoint…read more Small little place and you wait outside but it was breezy and only had a short wait. Once inside you notice the charm of it all. Dollar bills all over the walls, showing multiple satisfied customers. Two servers/ waitresses working their tails off. They were very polite and patient with all the patrons. Ordered the bacon cheese burgers. All I can say is you better have an appetite, they are half pound patties and piled high with the fixings. Excellent & satisfaction is all I can say. Also for the half & half- fries and onion rings. Hot and freshly made. This is definitely a place to try out. Interesting and the food was well worth the $. Kudos to the cooks!
