We had reservations. They got us in promptly. Our waiter Rayna was excellent. She was very attentive to our needs. Told us everything at the restaurant was made from scratch, from the bread, to the salad dressing. I had the Atlantic Salmon. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and flaky and delicious. My husband had the sirloin and he said it was cooled perfectly, had excellent flavor, it was tender and delicious. We also had the onion straws for an appetizer. I have Alph gal syndrome and eating out can be a challenge. We explained my allergy to our server and he spoke to the kitchen and manager. They offered to cook both our chicken and salmon orders in their own pans, not on the grill. Cross contamination can be risk. The manager even came by our table to assure us they would do their best to use a separate cooking pan. Meal was excellent and no reactions. I'll share my experience and you can judge for yourself. We were on vacation in Branson and wanted to try Saltgrass Steak House. We arrived shortly after their 11am opening time. No one was at the reception stand, so we waited. And waited. I saw a woman standing near the back booths of the restaurant, and it appeared she was taking to someone. After about 5 minutes she looked our way, then went back to her conversation. Two minutes later I had enough waiting, so I walked back there. She was talking with the GM, Edmundo, and the hostess. I asked if this was self-seating because no one was there to greet us. The hostess then took me back to the front where she have us menus and then walked us to a table. Summer, our server, was decent, but she did't check on us much at all. Overall, I'll rate the service 3 stars. The food was good. All 3 of is enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere was fitting for a steakhouse. If we ever visit Branson again I'd like to try this place another time to see if service is better than what we experienced. (Seems I had more to say about the service since that was the most prevalent part of the visit) read more
