Glad we swung by Landry's. We came in on a Monday and the vibe was chill. Minimal families with kids (and the kids that were there were well behaved). The place was filled with a low hum of conversation and soft jazz music in the background. The staff were amazing (Rose is a true MVP!). The food was very good. The shrimp cocktail had an amazing cocktail sauce with it. The fish and chips was a very generous serving size. The oyster bar trash was rich and flavorful and just the right size for me. Beautiful restaurant, truly felt like fine dining. Called in the morning of for a dinner reservation and was blessed to be able to get in for my birthday. Our server was incredible and fun to talk to/relate to. Was very kind about us having two littles with us under the age of 3, who enjoyed moving around and being a little loud. As "Landry's Club" members, I was disappointed by this restaurant. They missed the mark. We were here on a bus tour stop and the last two people off of the bus. I wasn't pleased on how we were seated by the manager of all people. All I will say is that it was very embarrassing. And, I didn't appreciate the fake, and possibly even sarcastic, smile. 2nd...There was a lack of serving personnel. My wife and I were at a table with one other person (TTL of three). We received our entrees and FINISHED them before the 3rd person at our table was even served. I grabbed two waiters twice and each promised to bring the fixed portion entree and it didn't come for some time as detailed above. The employees were overwhelmed, even though we were there early and the dining room was only half-full. This location definitely didn't meet Tillman's high standards. In fact, I can't recall ever rating one of Tillman's restaurants three-stars like I did this one. The food was tasty, but the portion was minuscule. This was a dinner stop before a nearby show. We were seated within 5 minutes of our arrival for our reservation - nicely done. The dining room was a very open and very loud space. Our drink order was delayed as our server misplaced his card for the computers. He did take our dinner order when he related this hiccup. Drinks arrived, then a very good salad. Bread was offered during the delay - and it was very dry toasted (crumbly) baguette and almost tasteless. Butter was requested but didn't arrive until the entrees which were delivered fully 1 hour after arrival. The place was uber busy but the delay was excessive. Though we gave our 'club member' info there was no follow-up. The upside is that the salads and entrees were excellent - but we had to rush through to get to our show. Landry's appears to be the low end, family oriented arm of the chain. We have had great experiences at Oceanside, McCormick & Schmidt and Morton's. The food was excellent! They give you bread with a butter seasoning to start your meal. We ordered beer and it came out cold in tall Pilsner glasses. We had the seafood artichoke dip and chips (10 out of 10) especially smeared on the bread starter and Caesar salad (fresh and authentic served on an iced plate. Didn't think it could get any better when the beer battered fish and chips came out pyramid style over fries, onion crisps, and crunches (10 out of 10). If we hadn't shared we'd taken a lot of the food home. We took chocolate cake to go. It had a few little crisp on top that were just delicious and some white chocolate in the center. YUM! When we walked into the restaurant, there were several people to seat us. They were all smiling and looked like they were happy we were there. We immediately felt we came to the right place. Our server Danny was friendly and we had everything we wanted at the right time. We don't usually have conversations with our server, but he was so friendly and efficient! The restaurant is large inside with lots of tables, but they sat people so we had space. The lighting was just right and we could have conversation without effort to hear each other. It was a wonderful first night in Branson and we have come once a year (at least) for 40 years . We'll be back (sorry we haven't tried Landry's out sooner). read more

We've eaten at McCormick and Smitt, which is another one we've eaten at Morton's, which is another one so we know they're great so we chose to go to this Landry's in Branson and we were not disappointed my wife and I shared This bass. That was the chef's choice over a rice apple cherry mixture which wasn't good. It was sensational. We were touted on it by the waiter named Kevin, who was terrific. We started out with a wedge salad, which had the blue cheese dressing and the bacon, bits, tomatoes, and onions. It was terrific. We moved onto the fish dish. Every time we come to Branson, Landry's Seafood is our very first stop and our last. It has officially become our nightly dinner tradition, and a huge part of that is because of Mary Hannah. We have been blessed to be served by her for over 10 years, and she is truly a treasure. Mary is phenomenal in every way. She remembers us each time, makes us feel at home, and treats us like family. Service like hers is rare, and it keeps us coming back year after year. The food, as always, was absolutely delicious. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and amazing. We have never had a single bad experience only wonderful meals and even better memories. This location does take reservations via OpenTable We arrived an hour early, so we sat at the bar to wait. Fatima, our bar keep, was awesome, she took care of us and checked on us often. When it was time we were seated and Joy was out setver. She was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We oped for the Bourbon Salmon Glaze dish. And the portions were a bit small compared to a Pena pasta bowl or any of the the signature dishes. That is the only ding (one star) because the chef recommend dish was small and more pricey.. lesson learned, do not pick any dish in the Chef Recommendation list Would I recommend this place, yes. Food was not fresh,it was not of a quality you would expect from this level of a seafood restaurant. First, you need reservations. Even when the place isn't busy they wouldn't seat us. That stinks. Know that ahead of time. We WERE able to sit at the large bar which was fine with us. Service was too fast - our entrees cam out before we were halfway done our salads, they apologized for that but not a huge deal. Ceasar salad is good, fish and chips are excellent - great presentation too - fries, onion rings AND crispy batter bits which should be an appetizer on their own! The fish was so buttery moist and the coating was great too. My wife had a fish dish with scallops and it was piled high and also amazing. I feel bad because as we were eating I was complaining about another place in town and how bad that was and a server did a double take walking by. My husband and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and we chose Landry's. Having dined at the one in St.Louis we knew the was going to be delicious. Let me start me by saying that I have a difficult dietary restriction and it's extremely difficult for most places to accommodate me. Our server Jaime was STELLAR. I told him of my restriction and he went and grabbed his manager to help assist in food choices for me. They did a spectacular job accommodating me. For someone who has a hard time dining out, this place sure made it easy for us. The staff were gracious and kind. The place was spacious and had a rustic fisherman appeal to it. Had friends in town that wanted seafood and they picked Landrys... what a surprise. Host asked if we wouldn't mind the bar seating, sure why not. Nice and quiet. Our server greeted us quickly and helped us navigate through our menus. She gave us wonderful recommendations, was very kind and patient and it took a while to make up our mind. Food was so delicious, seafood fondue was worth sharing, lobster was perfect, oysters freshly shocked. It was above our expectations.
