Always a solid meal at Saltgrass in Katy! Chicken Fried Steak is one of the best around and service was great with Rachael at the bar!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, We came into town to celebrate my husbands birthday since we don't have a saltgrass in FORT CAVAZOS, our waiter was not paying attention to our friends order the order was not fully delivered to perfection. Raymond our server took it to the kitchen and saw our friend was still disappointed he dismissed her .. also he was treating the other tables nice since they were 7 seats compared to us 4... end of the story, we are a military families who don't get to splurge as often so to have this experience definitely ruined our celebration - I ordered a medium rare steak I ended up getting a blue steak , seeing how they treated my friends issue with her steak I knew they would treat me the same... don't waste your time or money here!! read more

We love coming to the bar at Saltgrass, especially when Rachael and/or Malike are working. They are super attentive and personable! Saltgrass has great dishes from appetizers to desserts! I especially LOVE their chicken tortilla soup and brisket queso. Of course the steaks are always on point as well! read more

Wonderful dining experience at the Saltgrass in Katy, Tx. Food was cooked perfectly and was served quickly. Our server Kacey did a great job handling our orders and providing a calm dining experience. My family and I visit this place several times a year to enjoy some of the best steaks and great customer service. The restaurant has a nice rustic ambiance that adds to the overall dining experience. My favorites are their potato soup, baked sweet potato, the complimentary bread and the coconut shrimp. I wish they would bring back the pineapple sauce to add that extra flavor to it. I love their rewards program. It's always exciting to receive a $25 birthday gift card and year-round rewards. read more

Sooooo let me say that I had the best time tonight!!! I needed to wind down and have a few drinks with my girls and Rachael the bartender made sure we were taken care of. She was so nice and handled my difficult friend with ease. We will definitely be back and the steak and shrimp were cooked to perfection. As a regular at this location, I have tried their filet, NY Strip, T-bone, and sirloin steaks and I like all of them to varying degrees. During my most recent visit, I ordered a 10 oz Sirloin, and it was over average. The salad however was outstanding, as were the fried mushrooms. I do have to say that the highlight of my visit was the service! My server was Desiree and she was simply outstanding. She listened well when I was placing my order, was attentive during my visit, and friendly with all patrons. Service makes all the difference in my opinion! It was because of the service that I am rating this restaurant 5 stars - The steak itself was simply overcooked a bit (a reoccurring theme at this particular location). Overall I will continue to dine at this restaurant for the outstanding service, and the awesome salads! read more

He was attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. His recommendations were spot on, and everything came out just right. We had dinner at Saltgrass this evening and had the most amazing waitress, Stormy. She was so pleasant, she is by far the best waitress. She has a great personality, very friendly. We got our food promptly and just the way we ordered it. Ask for Stormy when visiting Salt Grass on Katy freeway and Mason. read more

At the last minute, Greg Sisson, Gm, was able to accommodate my family's gathering of 35 guests. Most of the family had traveled in from Baltimore, Maryland. Due to scheduling conflicts, the prior establishment was not able to work us in, and Greg made the necessary adjustments to help us. His staff was fantastic, energetic, and eager to serve any and all requests as they came. We are a loud and rowdy bunch, so this was certainly an undertaking on their part. The food was delicious and everyone raved about it. Should I ever need a venue in Katy to host an event, I will most definitely call Greg. Well done Saltgrass Katy!! Very disappointed in the manager. Our waitress was good, she made some mistakes, but apologized and made things right. We are landry select members and have been since 2016. Today was our 10 year anniversary. They took my landrys card, but the manager never came by. The manager showed up to the table next to us and said they were getting 25.00 off for a birthday gift. That is the same amount we had on our card. We did get the discount when the bill came, but my landrys select card was not returned. We asked to speak to the manager. He wasn't really interested in helping, but said he would look around for it. No apologies, no happy anniversary, no sincerity. He was also the first to blame the others on duty. I doubt he will follow thru with anything. Out server was very apologetic and we know it wasn't her fault. I highly suspect he gave my card to the table next to us. Very disappointed. read more

The food here it really not good. I think they have an aversion to seasoning. 5 of us were dining and we all agreed that everything just tasted bland - from the bread to the salads to the steaks to the seafood. EVERYTHING needed flavor. 3 of us ordered steaks and we all agreed they were poor at best. My steak was almost half chewy, inedible fat. The steak itself was also VERY chewy. I ordered it medium and it was definitely medium-rare to rare. $180 for 5 people and not one of us enjoyed it. We won't be returning. There are so many other places to get a decent steak. read more

We enjoy the early dining specials on a regular basis. We were disappointed to find that my regular ribeye steak was removed from the menu. The sirloin isn't as flavorful or tender. Our last visit was especially excellent. Dylan was attentive and immediately took care of an issue with the salad and a soft drink. We hope to get him again! read more
