I would rate this place negative infinity if possible. How is it possible this place stays in business? We were trying to buy dinner for my Dad on Fathers Day remotely from Portland, OR. We placed an order through Grub Hub and received a confirmation email. We received notice that Grub Hub would not deliver so we called my Dad (ruining the surprise) that he needed to drive over from Bull Head City to pick up dinner. When he showed up, no one had any information about the confirmed order that we placed. When we called the restaurant to place a new order directly with the restaurant, they indicated that they could not take payment over the phone due to privacy reasons. Am in town working for a few days with my wife and have been looking forward to eating here!! I've eaten here 3 or 4 times before and the entire dining experience has always been top notch!! This time was no exception!! Nothing needs to be said about the steaks as they were perfect!!! This review is mostly to commend our server.... Jared!! First thing I noticed was how warmly he greeted us when he first came to the table. He was prompt, courteous, funny and engaging!! He saw that I was wearing a Seattle Seahawks shirt and we start chatting and turns out he's also from a Washington State!! Our first time at Saltgrass Steakhouse in Laughlin and it did not disappoint ! Our server Charles was top notch - very attentive , friendly , and knowledgeable about the menu! My husband enjoyed the Urban Cowboy - New York strip steak medium rare with grilled shrimp on top and a loaded baked potato. I enjoyed the grilled salmon with herbed rice and we both had a dinner salad. Plates were the perfect temperature for each dish, all food was made to perfection! Cocktails were also amazing! The place is not super upscale it is casual. The food is amazing tasty! You must try the jalapeno shrimp poppers they were so spicy, crispy, and yummy. I ordered the filet cut medium well and it was made perfect. Very moist with gourmet steak taste. The free complimentary bread is made with Steinbock beer and it is something else! Called to make a reservation since my party will be large 20-25 and was told no reservations during the weekend. This is odd they would give up the possibility of a large tab. My family and I made a visit at dinnertime around 6 p.m. The waitress told us our wait was going to be about and hour and fifteen minutes ( the hostess ended up adding 30 additional minutes after 40 minutes of waiting). He had a great personality and prepared our drinks quickly, especially for how buy it was. Looks are deceiving because the bread is so good!! It is nice and warm with a hint of sweetness! The butter is also a bit sweet but I loved it! While I waited I got a baked potato soup which was pretty standard. After almost two hours of waiting were finally seated. I am a vegetarian/pescatarian, so ultimately I found the menu pretty challenging. In my opinion the seafood is overpriced for the amount on the plate. My boyfriend got a steak with a side of shrimp. Unfortunately, it only came with 4 pieces of shrimp and they were barely warm. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese which was also cold. The waitress was kind and brought out another one. However, my family was satisfied with what they ordered. We ended the night with a an apple cobbler served with vanilla ice cream. Overall, I found the restaurant to be standard. Definitely not worth the two hour wait. I would rather go across to eat at the the Bubba Gump's or to the Outback Steakhouse in the Aquarius casino. read more

Not a fan of beer bread, but that is a personal choice. Salad and tea served right away and tasted very good. Meal served immediately after salad was finished. Double boned pork chop was outstanding. We have been here a few times but this time last Saturday it was very average. Our rib eye was tough and over done. Sorry to say we it will be a long time before we try it again. Our friends had the BBQ ribs which they said where good. Maybe it was just a bad night for steak lovers. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita. Everything was so good. I ordered the gulf steak and shrimp. The shrimp were deep fried with a Cajun seasoning that really hit the spot. It had just the right amount of spice kick to them. Not overpowering but just right. My steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. They put an herb butter on my steak and now I don't want to ever eat a steak without that on top of it. I ordered a cheesecake for my wife for her birthday and it was sooooooo creamy and delicious, we couldn't stop eating it. The water is really good there. Was at this wonderful steakhouse for the second time in two weeks. The first time we were here everything was perfect. Had the Wagyu steak, which was amazing. Today things weren't nearly as good. Ordered my Wagyu steak again medium rare it came out blue rare, which of course means blue/red in the middle (raw). I ordered mashed potatoes and I got a baked potato. The waitress then brought the loaded mashed potatoes instead of regular mashed potatoes, which was fine. What wasn't fine was the potatoes were luke warm. In addition, we told the waitress that we wanted to spread things out just a little bit. And yet we received our meal less than five minutes after getting our salad and soup. Everybody is entitled to an off day, but that's quite of a lot of mistakes being that we were the first table sat this afternoon. That said we love the place and of course we'll go back again. One of our favorite steakhouses in the Golden Nugget in Laughlin, NV. The service is always great. We always get the Range Rattlers appetizers. It's a jalapeño stuffed with a whole shrimp and cheese served on a bed of onion straws and ranch dressing. They are big and delicious. I personally love Maudens Filet. It's so tender with amazing flavor. I usually get their awesome mac n cheese for my side. Their chicken marsala is amazing as is their chicken fried steak and their prime rib. Their grilled pineapple margarita is phenomenal as is their Fredericksburg Peach Tea, not on our local Saltgrass menu but the bartenders know how to make them because it is a Saltgrass drink. I have never tried their desserts simply because I have no room for one but they do look very yummy!! I need to go in just for a drink and dessert. read more

Came to celebrate my Cousin's BDay. Party of 10. Places was crowded so we figured we were at the right place to celebrate. Food looked good in the menu so we were exited to eat here. After sitting down, they took a long time to offer us waters or drinks. Then after a good 20 minutes of just sitting down, they came to take our order. Total time to get out food, a good 1hr-30min. A long hair was found in my food. Couldn't be mine as I'm bald, so I brought it to the waiter's attention. Restaurant replaced my meal but again took a while to get my food back. By the time I got my new plate, everyone was dine eating. Manager did ask, "what can I do for you?". As a manager of a establishment, don't ask that to a customer; it feels as if you are putting the responsibility back on the customer. Simply apologize and offer to replace the plate. If further inconveniences are created by delaying the plate, then all you can do is take care of the customer without asking! A customer does not want to be the one to say what you should do for the customer! Toward the end I was advised that my food was going to be taken care of. I do thank you for that. I understand it was not the waitresses fault, so I did leave a tip. If it wasn't because the delay in service, the delay in bringing the check and the hair, this review would have been different! read more

This is probably the best steakhouse in Laughlin! I came to this place before with some friends during our annual trip to Arizona and honestly could not think of a better eat then Saltgrass again. It located inside the Golden Nugget and is easily one of the most popular restaurants around. This place gets busy very quickly especially during dinner so come as early as possible in order to get a table! My group waited close to two hours before we were able to be seated. The only thing that you should get when you come here is their steak because it is what is known here plus it is a steakhouse! Seriously, skip all the chicken, burgers, and fish entrees and go right into the steak menu! Their most popular item is the prime rib and it was sold out by the time my group went in. There are a lot of steak choices depending on your budget and particular part of the cow you want. I had the sirloin and that did the job for me along with the baked potato with everything on it. Some of my group got the t-bone and ribeye, which they said tasted amazing. It looked good to me simply just looking at it. The best part of this place is that even though it has $$$; compared to prices back in L.A., everything was affordable for the quality and quantity. For my party of 9, the total bill came to around $350 with tax and tip included. Service was on point, and I would highly suggest this place if you are in the area.
