Food was just what I needed after a 7 hour drive traveling. Started with some fresh bread and a salad with homemade ranch. Ordered the steak and grilled shrimp, broccoli and added some truffle fries. Steak was ordered medium rare and came out perfect! The shrimp were great. The truffle fries were definitely worth the up charge. However, definitely shareable. They were served with a garlic aioli which was to die for. Also ordered an Old fashioned which is one of the best I've had in a while. A little pricy though- $18 Service was overall really good. I was sat promptly with a smile. Greeted by the server quick. I did wait about 10 minutes for my drink which was odd as it wasn't too busy. However besides that everything came out in a timely manner. The gentlemen who served me was very professional, suggestive sold, offered appetizers etc... he did a great job The restaurant itself was clean and inviting. Fun country theme. Went here for lunch with some colleagues, and this place had been on my bucket list for quite a while. The service was top-notch -- our server was very attentive to the three of us throughout the meal. I was honestly surprised they had sweet tea, so huge bonus points for that! I ordered the ribeye cooked medium rare, and it was seasoned and prepared perfectly to my liking. The mashed potatoes were also well-seasoned, though I do wish I had asked for gravy. The price ended up being lower than I expected, which was a surprise. I may have to bring the wife here one day as well -- especially since this visit wasn't on my dime. Win-win. read more

The food is fine, but the service is almost comical how much they push alcohol on you on top of dessert and appetizers and if you don't order you get the look of death. Maybe they get their training from Office Space? Each meal ranges from 1000-2000+ calories, how is someone going to eat more?! We went for Mother's Day early dinner at 4pm and the place isn't cheap. I thought I was treating mom and our family to a nice meal but the service made the meal so uncomfortable we couldn't really enjoy the $35 steaks. If you plan to drink a lot and order all the food maybe the service would be nicer otherwise I would not recommend. read more

I took my Mom & Sister here because it is a place I frequent in Dallas/Ft Worth. We had a sub-par experience. We waited close to 10 minutes for our to be created by our server, we ordered a margarita and 2 iced teas along with an appetizer. First came the margarita, then the appetizer, and then several minutes later we got our iced teas (WTH?), All fried items were very disappointing. I walked in to enjoy lunch right when they opened on a Saturday. Other people were there when they opened as well, but they were not massively busy at 11 AM. I was greeted by a friendly server who did a wonderful job during my visit. However, the food was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the price I paid. I ordered an 8 ounce sirloin and added mushrooms, with a baked sweet potato and Caesar salad. The romaine lettuce was very bitter and overwhelmed the taste. The steak was cooked to my preference of medium rare, but was not as full of flavor as I had hoped. The sweet potato was small. The bread offering on the table was dry and the butter was nearly flavorless. Unfortunately, it ended up being quite an expensive meal for some thing that I didn't enjoy. A favorite place for a date night. I have yet to sit at a table because we enjoy the bar seating here. There is always a few seats available during happy hour (if you are there early). The bar staff is attentive, the specials are pretty good, and the menu offers a little of everything. I like the bar, it's clean, inviting, and has ambience. Back to the food, I think the entrees could come out a few minutes later giving you time to enjoy the generous fresh salads. Get the Carrot Cake for dessert, it's pretty amazing! I came here because it was across from blaze pizza which I did not want at the time. I'm glad I made that choice, the service here is great and the ambiance is warm and cozy. The macaroni was a hit, I could tell the cheese has some Smokey flavor and was saturated in the cheese just right. The breading on the chicken fried chicken held a good flavor and was hot and juicy. Nice place for a good meal! My boyfriend and I stopped in here after shopping on a Sunday evening and had about a 15 minute wait time. It was a pretty big space and we liked the real Texas-feel and decor. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu to give us some good recommendations! We ordered the sirloin and pat's ribeye along with side salads, fries, and mac & cheese. The steaks were cooked slightly under what was requested but pretty, decently, flavored overall. This was our first visit to Saltgrass Steakhouse and we will definitely be back. I had the 8 oz sirloin and my husband had the ribeye. Both steaks were perfectly cooked, tender, smoky, and flavorful. No steak sauce needed for me. My baked potato was also just right. Hubby enjoyed the mashed potatoes and fried green beans. The house salad contained a nice mix of lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and house-made croutons, which were crunchy but not hard. Our meal was topped off with pumpkin cheesecake, which was excellent. The restaurant is nicely appointed with western decor and felt spacious, even though we were there on Thanksgiving Day and it was busy. Our server, Angel, was excellent. He did everything he could to ensure we enjoyed our experience. This is my new favorite steak place! read more

Our server was fantastic, very polite and on top of every thing we needed. Our salad that came with the meal was very fresh and the blue cheese had good flavor and texture. On to the main course. I ordered the 16oz Ribeye and the first time it arrived at my table it was far from how I ordered it. The green beans were barely warm and shriveled up. I asked my server how I ordered my steak because I wondered if I made a mistake. I ordered it Medium Rare and it was definitely Well Done. The second time it came it came out correctly except the green beans were still less than average, just warmer. The second steak had good flavor, but it was underwhelming as my party had finished their meal already. I would recommend Long Horn Steakhouse instead. The process at Saltgrass are pretty high and the food just wasn't worth it. service was good though. It also costs $25 to join there club, you get it back in the form of a coupon but this is also not worth it if you don't live near a Saltgrass.
