I've watched this particular building change from scummy bar to scummy bar. Its needed a makeover for years. Its FINALLY been fully renovated, newly paved parking lot, pretty and modern outside and in. Open concept, nice bright in the day dim and somewhat intimate in the evening. I cant wait for summer outside seating. The house moscato was absolutely great! I had two glasses. I wish I would have just bought a bottle from the beginning. They also have the normal basic wine list, full bar, and beer on tap. We had the chefs board. I thought $14 was a little pricy but after it came to the table it was actually was tons of cheeses and meats, crunchy bread, olives, peppers, artichoke hearts, etc. It was by far more than enough especially for the price. House salad with ranch was plain (lettuce, carrots, cucumber) but fresh and the ranch was made in house. I got angel hair pasta with alfredo. The pasta and sauce was deffinatly made fresh to order. Everything was perfect. It was SO good. My bf ordered a hamburger and fries because hes a weirdo and hates any kind of noodles.lol He ordered it medium and it came extreamly rare. If I could give this place negative stars I would. On top of my drink glass being dirty, everything I ordered was terrible. The calamari was way too salty, the bruschetta had a funny taste, my order (4) of lamb chops were all cooked to a different rarity and my potatoes were undercooked. When addressed to the manager she immediately became irate and very inappropriate. Offered to take 20% off my meal and then didn't actually do it when in reality the meal should have been comped. And then argued when it was brought to her attention. Our waitress also asked another member of our party if she didn't like her meal because she also didn't eat her food. First off, they were extremely short staffed. There was only one waitress/bartender for the entire place when we got there, and she told us that the people scheduled to come in after her were running late and she couldn't get a hold of them. Second, it was super hot in there. They had doors open for airflow and fans on, but it was very warm and uncomfortable. Almost to the point where I had to get up to leave. The food was decent but did not come out together and they continued to give us what they called rye toast that was definitely not rye and 100% was white bakery bread. It was hard to get refills on anything. We had to ask for ice water. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. read more

As a lover of Italian food, I was disappointed. I started with the chicken and pastina soup. The broth lacked flavor and the pasta was mush. The fried calamari was fine and enjoyable. My entree was the zuppa de pesce. My first indication that I was going to be disappointed was when the server asked if I wanted it with "noodles". The menu describes the meal as 'clams, shrimp and scallops...' but there were mussels instead of clams. The mussels in my opinion were inedible and the scallops were not properly cooked. I was hungry so I ate the meal (except for the mussels). I didn't feel the server valued me as a customer only occasionally checking in. She never asked if I wanted grated cheese for my pasta as an example. My main purpose for witting this review is to remind myself not to go back when I am back in the area. read more

So let's get this out of the way you don't really get what you pay for you get sub par food for the prices that your paying for. However, the restaurant was clean the staff was decent however, I have only gotten carry out here twice. the first time we ended up ordering a pizza since we heard it was good. Now the pizzas where sized at about a medium size anywhere else and I forgot the price off the top of my head but I remember thinking that if I where paying for this I would just tell them to cancel the order and I will order from someplace else. But it was free pizza for me and my first introduction to the restaurant. I pickup the pizzas and get them home to try. They smelled ok but after taking a bite it was not bad but not worth what ever was paid for. The second time I did carry out with the Chicken Parm. Arguably one of my favorite meals but I was pretty disappointed the chicken had a rubbery texture and was pretty bland I just did not care for it that much and again for the quality of the food that I received for the price I paid I was not satisfied at all. Hubby and I went late afternoon, during the week. Neither of us had alcohol, so I can't comment on the bar. They were pretty pricey for the location, in my opinion. They have pizza, but we didn't have any. Hubby got the Italian Beef Hoagie, $14.00. Options are for it to be eaten wet (au jus poured on sandwich, or dry, au jus on the side). Sides were choice of soup or salad. Fries were extra. I got the veal piccata. $22.00.Same side choices.Garlic mashed potatoes were $4 more. The grilled veggies weren't an extra charge. They were swimming in oil. Any other vegetable has an up charge. A plate of Italian bread with pesto for dipping was complimentary. The dishes were wonderfully seasoned and very tasty, nice atmosphere, clean and nicely decorated. There is also an outdoor patio around 2 sides of the building. I'd recommend this place for a special occasion, but not for a casual lunch or dinner. They have live music on the weekend. Recommended with some reservations, as stated. read more

Let's get the good stuff outta the way first - clean place, staff is super friendly and attentive. Which is the only reason I left the rating I did - staff was awesome. Now the important part - the food. What happened? Seriously - what happened. Legit the best part of the meal was the house made lemon herb dressing. Bread was not fresh made/warm. Oil/herb mixture served with it was not on point. Now for the main issue - the Chicken Marsala. Major flavor and texture issues. I was filled with instant regret about what I ordered - it was just not good. Imagine lightly flavored rubbery chicken with soggy overdone vegetables and an ice cream scoop of "garlic" mashed potatoes. It was by far my worst chicken marsala experience - ever. Finally, the cost - now let me preface this, I'm not complaining about this because I'm cheap and like to complain. When I drop over $80 on dinner and drinks I just expect... more. Oh and speaking of drinks - the wine, yeah each one ordered was old. The beer was on target, but the wine tasted old - in a bad way. All in all - not the greatest experience. Normally, we enjoy Salute, but last night was terrible. We never got any bread. We waited WAY to long for our appetizers. When they did bring them, we were not given plates. They brought out the wrong order and by the time they corrected it, three of us were long finished with our meals. We waited a half hour for a mixed drink and a water. WATER! The table next to us ordered French fries and received a plate of frozen fries. How does that happen??? The owner did not appear to be there. She may want to reconsider who she leaves in charge next time she take a day off. No manager made any attempt to speak to anyone. What a shame. read more

Haven't been here since they opened (2019) had chicken piccata that was delicious (5 stars). Tonight, pizza (margarita) not so great. Was super saucy (I love) but the problem was the mozzarella cheese and crust. Absolutely 0 flavor, not even salty. Was like rubber. Kinda surprised I could not even taste basil. I'm wondering if crust was made from scratch or pulled out of freezer. But...I will try them again. I'm hopeful next time will be better. read more

Not impressed at all. I ordered the 3 vegetables that were side dishes and asked that they be steamed without butter or oil, they came drenched in oil. Marinara sauce just okay. LOVED my first visit. Came during Happy Hour on a Sat. Husband ordered pizza, I had the BEST shrimp cocktail I've ever had & a delicious antipasto salad (romaine w penne) with salmon added. Salmon was excellent & MUST request the lemon basil dressing. Margarita was made perfect too. 2nd visit was very good but very disappointing there is no longer Happy Hour on Fri, Sat...(maybe consider 2p-4p only?). Been wanting to stop by and try the place. Pretty good menu good selections. Nice wine list. Our waitress was very tentative and very nice. I had ordered up the steak, medium rare with A side of pasta because I wanted to try it. also got a salad with it Italian dressing. Homemade. The steak not too bad. Good taste. Came with some zucchini and carrots and I got the pasta with meat sauce on the side. Enjoy the pasta , I like angel hair pasta. A nice little spice to it. I forgot to mention to you the oil and the bread they give you , very good!!! Got to say there's only two people in the kitchen doing all the cooking, and they didn't miss a pace. I am leaving 5 stars because of Sean the cook. My spouse and I came in at 6:15 this evening and Sean was the only cook they had. We had our food on our table and out the door by 7:20. They were very busy and he never showed any signs of stress. When we first walked in we were greeted and 3 waitresses were discussing the reason we would be seated in a certain section. We unfortunately were seated at a table in the corner by the kitchen in which the waitresses use as a complaining area because that is where they input orders and plate the bread. Service wasn't horrible, but could use a little improvement. Maybe not have a table so close to the ordering area. Spending $100 on dinner and 2 drinks at a more upscale restaurant I would expect more professionalism from the staff. The food was perfect and the restaurant is beautiful. read more

Never heard of this place... It just popped up on Google recently. Have to say the food far exceeded my expectations! I had the fettuccini with clams and it was definitely better than anything I've previously had from other restaurants,family or mine. Lived in Taylor for years, and went to this restaurant when it was under another name. Decided to try the new style, Italian. Our food was good, not large portions, but that's okay. What astounded us was a draft Coors beer was $7.00 . We have ate at a lot of very nice restaurants and never paid that for a draft beer. Needless to say we won't be back, and told our fellow beer consumers not to go there. No wonder their bar had no one at it. That's robbery, especially when Keg beer cost about 60 cents a glass. read more

Extremely disappointed with service and quality of service. Went in to pickup Carryout on Feb 14th, after putting in my to go order it took over 68 minutes after asking how much longer. After asking for my order they kept saying 5 minutes. Spent 65.00 on dinner, once I finally got carryout it was cold when I got home, least than a half mile away. I will dine in going forward. My observations over the 68minutes, I will give them a second chance, myself and my wife will see what they can do. We will review again, as far as carryout we won't do that again. No kids menu. Shrimp cocktail was average. Pizza was terrible - not "brick stone" thin crust as advertised. Thick gross, soggy pizza - worse then delivery - not fresh - more raw dough, thick crust.
