This place is bland. The only good thing is the beer and the live music. $40 for beers and overcooked dog food salmon. No thanks.

Went with a friend. Ordered the filet - good seasoning, a decent size and a perfect medium rare. The steak was reasonably priced vs a lot of neighboring restaurants. Very friendly staff - attentive and cool with us staying later to catch-up. Blessed AC with this heat but a very nice patio for less hot days. Very clean as well. I'll be back. read more

Minimum Wage band was great. Service was horrible. Could not get a beer at the bar if seated at a table. Took 1/2 hour to get served- at table - just beer! This place was fantastic. We decided to try it for lunch and the whole family agreed it was great and we will be back. My son and I had the burger and it was seriously tasty and the fries are worth the trip alone. My wife had pasta and it was so fresh and delicious. My daughter had the chicken Parmesan and it was huge and very tasty. I tried my wife and daughter's pasta and chicken Parmesan myself to get a sense of the taste (it's research!) and I agree they were both awesome! The bread served ahead of time was also fresh and super tasty with some olive oil and spices they mixed in. This place is a real gem. We will be bringing friends back and trying this place again. Been waiting to try this place out. Friends of mine know the owner and they have just been raving about it. I got the Salmon Rockefeller which was amazing. The veggies that came with it were so good and fresh. My bf got the lasagna and said it was one of the best lasagnas he's ever had, it just melted in his mouth. The salad could have a little more something to it. Other than that it was worth every penny. I've already checked out other things I will order the next time I come and I definitely can't wait to check out the patio with a glass of wine when the weather is warmer. We tried this new restaurant tonight, enjoyed our dinner very much. Its nicely decorated, clean and had plenty of parking. Our server, Dana, was pleasant, attentive and did a great job overall. The menu has a range of Italian based items. We ordered sausage and peppers as an appetizer, which was served with bread and dipping oil. Entrees were filet medallions with champagne sauce for me, chicken pesto with angel hair pasta for my wife, served with fresh salads and sides. Everything was prepared perfectly to order, and tasted great. Happy to have a new option for dining out. read more

My husband and I had the greatest take out meal - fantastic food!! Everything is made in-house. Linguine with white clam sauce was out of this world, as is the antipasto salad. We enjoyed our dining experience so very much! The menu variety offered is so well thought out. We started with a Meat and Cheese board that was so fresh and varied. Capicola, Salami, Prosciutto, cheeses, fruits, nuts, peppers and little delicious garlicky toast rounds. We had one of the daily featured items, a HUGE rib eye, seasoned and grilled to perfection and Lasagna which was amazing too! Each meal comes with your choice of minestrone or Chicken Pastini soup from scratch or fresh crispy garden or Caesar salads. I had the Pastini, just like my grandma made!! we also got a bread plate with a nice pesto oil dip. The deserts looked great but we were so full! Also a lovely Italian wine was recommended with my steak and I went with it. Amazing flavors! They have a full bar with seasonal fun drinks and a wine list that is varied and affordable. The restaurant itself is well appointed and had a wonderful 'feel' to it. Our server, (I can't remember his name) was on point with service and pacing. The Chef, Sean, came out and introduced himself and we talked 'food'. That was so lovely! We can not wait to go back for some real from scratch Italian food!! read more

We were in the mood for Italian and our favorite restaurant had a long line. We had been told that this place was a great place for Italian food. I was disappointed from the beginning. The dining area is more like a bar that sells food. The server was almost dismissive. The wine list was underwhelming. The food was bland. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was so bland it's the first time in a long time I could have cared less about finishing my food or taking home any leftovers. You may have a different experience if you go in with the understanding that it's not a "dinning" experience. read more

Bartender Dean and owner Donna are absolutely great.. Had the steak bites and they did not disappoint... clean and friendly place to eat and enjoy the bar. Careful of the purse hangers at the bar.. happen to be at knee level. Live music is great! read more

We actually came to enjoy a quiet Italian dinner. The dinner was fine but we were quite in a quandary of where we were eating. TV sets were in all viewing corners as well as the bar. Great for a sports bar but an Italian bistro? ,,,not really. The main courses were tasty, however my Alfredo clam sauce did not need the 15 clam shells included in the dish. It took me a full 10 minutes to separate the shells from the clams and by then the dish was cooling off. Maybe just put 3-4 shells on top for presentation. BTW I bit into clam shell remnants after the removal. The bottle of wine was warm because its stored on the bar. The bread was dry and could have been served warm. I know it's been only a few weeks but bottom line...decide if it's a sports bar or Italian bistro. The groundwork is there. It just needs to be refined. read more

My biggest issue is that I ordered the same thing both times I went there but I didn't get the same thing. I ordered the Chicken Piccata with spaghetti as my side, with the piccata sauce on the spaghetti. The first time I got it my chicken was lightly breaded, served with a very bland, thin, piccata sauce. I noticed the sauce didn't have any capers... which is surprising since capers are a staple in piccata sauce. Then, my spaghetti with the picatta sauce was served on another dish on the side. On my chicken plate I also received a small amount of mixed vegetables (I can't remember the exact veggies but I believe it was zuccini, carrots, and one other vegetable) The second time I ordered the Chicken Picatta my pasta and chicken were served all in one dish - this is actually how I preferred it. There were no mixed vegetables on the side this time, which was fine... but the chicken was just plain grilled chicken with no breading... it was bland, and awful. The piccata sauce was way more flavorful this time (probably because it was actually made with capers). Both times I had noodles that were stuck together and clumpy. I went with two different people but they both ordered cheese burgers well done - neither were well done, the centers had slight pink. Their fries are awesome! Their Chicken Pastina soup is awesome (although im not sure its worth 4 dollars) My Chicken Piccata was 16 dollars (soup included) - I think 16 dollars is a little steep considering you don't get any type of bread with it. I would still give the place another chance... perhaps, if someone i knew wanted to go there... but... its not a place I would suggest. read more

The waitress and I'm guessing the manager? (No one said who they were when they visited the table) were nice but the food was gross. Pasta sauce tasted like watered down tomato juice with a can of diced tomatoes poured into it. It had no flavor. The noodles were over cooked and were falling apart before I could even put my fork into it to try and take a bite. No one wore a mask either, not even the person who was cooking the food. Manager (or whoever he was) came up to the table with his mask on his chin, then put his face into my food to ask me what was wrong with it, after explaining how bad it was. Our whole table felt uncomfortable and was ready to leave asap. Won't be going back. read more

The waitress was pushy.. I could tell she was annoyed that we chose to sit outside so we were automatically off to a bad start. We ordered two drinks and two meals. The food absolutely sucked. We had the worst experience tonight at Salute Taverna. DO NOT EAT HERE. We where there for a meeting to plan the ACS Relay for Life. The waitress was new and put our order on the same bill with another lady sitting at our table. It took so long to get food, the other lady had two crying children and had to leave. They sent her home with my niece's food. No one told us but I asked 30 minutes later and they were remaking the burger. Ten minutes later another waitress brought out the burger, asked who it was for, and almost threw it on the table and walked away. We asked our waitress to send over her manager. She came over and was EXTREMELY rude. We told her what had happened. She said well we had alot of people. I told her we were there before most of these people, it took 45 minutes for a burger, after waiting 15 minutes to place an order, so an hour. She argued with us, basically told us it was our fault the waitress gave our food away and asked what we expected her to do, she was trying to make it "right". I told her to comp the food (it was a $15 burger!!). She was angry, told me she couldn't do that, and walked away. She came back a couple minutes later and showed me the order had been placed at 601pm. It was 650 - 45 minutes!! She said "no she said it was an hour ". Apparently this woman is the manager and owner. The bartender was very sympathetic on the way out, the waitress was apologetic, new, mistakes happen. I have NEVER been treated this way by a manager! Completely out of line! We were there for a cancer relay, on the eve of anniversary of my niece's mother's passing. Just outrageous! And the burger was lousy! read more

So glad this place finally opened! I've been waiting with bated breath for what feels like years. Came in at 9p on a Mon, was really glad to see they have late hours. Was greeted by the staff & grabbed a table. The specials were only posted by the door (at least in my line of sight) so I did have to get up to see what they were but I'm glad I did bcs the calamari was AMAZEBALLS. It's the real deal, not those fried little rings but actual chunks. Breading was crispy & not too overdone, and amazingly I actually liked the marinara sauce that accompanied it. (Backstory- I'm a sauce snob, I usually only ever like my Nonni's sugo). My only complaint is that tje calamari is not a regular on the menu so I'll have to stalk the specials for another fix. I also got a salad with house dressing which I would use as a dipping sauce for almost anything. It is a fresh basil masterpiece. Entree was the (angel hair) shrimp alfredo. The alfredo was delicious without being overly oily & runny, perfectly cheesy & garlicky. Shrimp were a good size & cooked well. Will 10000% be back! read more

This was So Bad we waited 3 hours horrible uncooked STEAK UNDER COOKED. Gnocchi was gooey under cooked and the marinara sauce was burnt.

My husband and I went there for dinner, it was kind of late in the evening and wanted something lite, we both had the Michigan cherry salad w/chicken and it was excellent! Great choice! The waitress and staff were very nice. We sat out on the patio which was nice but the traffic was a little loud but we still enjoyed! read more

Great new place! Beautifully remodeled building. Food was delicious! I had lasagna and a creamy vegetable and kale soup that was amazing! My friend had a cheeseburger and fries. She said the burger was the best she's ever tasted and the fries were perfectly crisp with just the right amount of seasoning. Service was friendly and fast. We will definitely be back. Great food, service and patio! Stopped in and sat on the patio. Deanna waited on us and she did not miss a beat. Awesome suggestions, very thorough and friendly. Started out with drinks and they were on point. Had their version of an old fashion made with rye . I love rye whiskey! Ordered bruschetta which tasted great and had a subtle spice kick. Tried the veal piccata and took the pasta choice as a side. Veal melted in your mouth and initially I was concerned as sometimes places make the piccata sauce to thick but this was perfect! I should of taken pictures! The Owner Donna stopped by the table and instantly it was evident why the place is good. She is proud of her restaurant and her people. She is personable and gave many suggestions about what to have the next time. There will be a next time. Thank you Deanna, Donna and staff for a great experience. We've eaten here a few times now and the food is ALWAYS delicious! The staff is always polite and helpful. We ordered curbside today because of COVID and the service and food did not let us down. The family meal is a great deal and offered us a variety to share. The lemon basil salad dressing is my favorite. We will definitely dine in(once able to) and carry out again. read more

Tonight was our first visit to Salute Taverna but it won't be our last. Our server Katie was excellent and our food was delicious. The tomato basil soup was very good, the Lasagna was excellent, the sauce was excellent and not to heavy that it overpowered the house made pasta and cheese. The Chicken Piccata also got rave reviews. We actually had dessert because I had to try the Terramisu. It did not dissapoint. One sign of a great restaurant that cares about their customers is how they handle the little issues that crop up. We all had leftovers that we wanted to take home but one accidently got thrown away. The chef prepared an entirely new dinner and presented it to my friend. That is great customer service. read more
