I trusted her creativity, always took her design recommendations, tipped over 20% every visit, and was never a high-maintenance client. I also have a lot of respect for nail technicians because my mom was one. I understand how demanding the job can be, which is why I've always been patient, understanding, and appreciative of the work that goes into every set. I was respectful of Ivy's time. I always made appointments, arrived on time, and despite that, I regularly waited 15-30 minutes before she was ready for me. I never complained because I understood that things happen and wanted to be an easy customer. The same went for the quality of my nails. When my top coat peeled or gems popped off shortly after appointments, I never came back asking for repairs or refunds. I simply accepted it and continued supporting her because I valued the relationship. That's why I was completely blindsided when I walked in today and was told by the owner that Ivy no longer wanted to do my nails because my "energy was weird." No explanation. No conversation. No prior issue. Just turned away. As a paying customer, that was incredibly hurtful and embarrassing. If you've ever supported a business, referred new clients, tipped generously, respected their time, and given them grace when things weren't perfect, imagine being told you're no longer welcome over something as vague as your "energy." It made me question whether customer loyalty actually matters here. From the negative reviews I'm reading there's been a pattern of this careless behavior. Between the premium prices, my experience with top coats peeling and gems falling off shortly after appointments, the constant 15-30 minute waits despite having appointments, and ultimately being refused service without any meaningful explanation, I can confidently say I'll be taking my business elsewhere. If you value professionalism, consistency, and being treated with respect as a loyal customer, I hope my experience gives you something to think about before booking with Ivy.

Kathy did a great job with my manicure. As soon as another lady started with my pedicure I told her I had an ingrown nail in my right toe and I would appreciate it if she could get it out. I could see her trying to get it out and I see she pulls a piece of skin and I am thinking she will stop and cut it as soon as she takes it out, instead she keeps pulling my skin to the point where she peels off the front of my skin. A think layer by the way (as you can see in the picture). The gentleman that answers the phone walks around and he did noticed the lady had hurt my toe and didn't said anything. Looks like he is the supervisor or something, I thought he would say something when I was paying, but he didn't. I didn't want to argue because I already knew I wasn't going to come back. I should have taken the advice from one of the bad reviews they have here. Too late to regret it now. It's unfortunate that I paid $98 and walked out with my skin peeled off. I wanted to share my experience in the hopes that this won't happen to someone else. Save yourself time, money, and a bad experience. Go somewhere else. Not worth it. They don't even deserve the one star I have to give to post this.

My nails were previously done elsewhere, but they were already almond-shaped and I wanted to maintain that shape. During the filing process, the technician filed very aggressively and actually cut two of my fingers. Despite explaining the shape I wanted, I never got the result I was asking for. The French tips were the biggest disappointment. They looked uneven and already appeared days old despite being freshly done. Throughout the appointment, I respectfully pointed out areas I wanted adjusted, but each correction seemed to make the lines thicker or more uneven. I felt like my feedback wasn't being heard. The appointment took nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes for a very simple design. As the technician became visibly frustrated, I eventually said the nails were fine because I felt that was the best result I was going to get and I just wanted to leave. When I explained that I needed to go, she still turned the drill back on and started reworking a nail instead of respecting my time. I had to leave to pick up my son from basketball practice, and I shouldn't have had to justify that. The entire experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I understand that French tips can be challenging to perfect, but I expected better communication, more attention to detail, and respect for my feedback. Unfortunately, I left unhappy with my nails and wishing I had spent my money elsewhere. I would have preferred a refund so I could have them corrected by another technician.

So I wasn't going to make a review honestly but I sat on it and the fact that they had the audacity to message me asking how my service was like an hour after I left when I literally stopped the nail tech after he finished shaping the acrylic with the drill and just paid for what he did and left didn't even get my pedicure made me be like no sorry I need to speak So I recently came here because I originally found the shop on yelp My first time I came I had a good time! I liked it ,and the young guy that did my nails did a good job and tbh I'm picky about letting men do my nails I just gotta be honest I feel like women are more ocd when it comes to certain things that's why I usually prefer a girl to do my nails but I was like you wanna know what let's give him a shot and he did great! The Girl did a beautiful job on my toes too so even though a week in to my new set one of my nails chipped pretty high up near the right corner of the free edge. I still decided to go back because I got great service last time and I figured even if I got the same person from last time he did a good job and he would just fix up the nail cause It didn't need to be replaced or anything just a little patch job with some acrylic I go in and I ask if they're taking any walk ins today the owner himself tells me yeah they are now look I am in this profession so don't nobody else understand more than me when it's lunch hour you're busy and you just want to take a lunch there we're days I worked my whole 10 hour shift standing the entire time and never getting to take a lunch so I get it. However this fully could've been expressed to me and I would've been more than willing to come back at a different time or after he ate! because I was technically TO ME being a inconvenience because I was a walk-in so I more than happily would've came back a little later but the owner tells me yes and to sit and then he directs the guy that did my nails last time after he's done with his client to take me so originally I wanted a fill but I wanted to see if I could change the color of my acrylic as a fill or not? I had some natural ombre into white acrylic and I wanted to change it into just white acrylic in general so this is where everything shifted.... I felt like he didn't want to do my nails at all that He just kept being like oh let's just do the fill the fill would look better felt like he had to take me because he was forced to take me that He wanted to go and take a break instead and He didn't really care about the work or the quality he was doing he just wanted to get me in and out and as someone who's in this industry and who works hard for her money exactly like they do I do not appreciate that to me it's the most disrespectful thing you could do to any client to treat them as if their money doesn't really matter that they'll be OK with whatever you give them and on top of that I'm an educator for this profession as well so I just really thought it was lacking professionalism and customer care and on top of that he noticed the chip on my nail and just ignored it and carried on with his work as if it wasn't there I honestly was not happy at all with my nails was so upset I'd have to keep the same thing cause he didn't want to do his job but thank god the other guy elsewhere took the time and saved it I still have the same nails just with a sprinkle of shine and some more structure for when I have to braid but again that's very disrespectful to clients and very unprofessional will not be returning think staff needs to go back to school to be retaught on professionalism and client care read more

Sam is the absolute best nail tech I have ever been too! I have been getting acrylic gel manicures done for 22 years. I have been seeing Sam for 4 years now and he is the ONLY nail tech who I have been to where I will never have an acrylic break EVER. I can even push getting a fill to 3 weeks without a broken nail or chipped nail polish. I have people daily compliment me on how good my nails always look and people often will say wow you just got them done when it's time for me to get a fill and they still look brand new like I just got them done! Sam is the absolute best there is. I WON'T ever go to anyone else. I use to live down the street for him and literally now drive over an hour just for him because he is THAT good! I don't mind driving an hour because his work speaks for itself and never having to worry about a chipped or broken acrylic makes it worth it to go every 2-3 weeks. He is very clean and fastidious about keeping every thing sanitary and new. He is very talented and can do amazing incredible nail art as well as basic color or French tips. Everything he does truly looks incredible. I can't believe I never have a nail break or fall off or even lift and I am very hard on my nails and somehow without fail he has made it so regardless of what I do they look amazing and won't ever break or chip. He is incredibly meticulous and has to have them look perfect. He is a perfectionist and a true artist and gifted at his craft. I would follow him anywhere! He is also a delight to chat with while I get them done. He will spend a long time pampering you if you want or will do it super quick and efficiently whatever you prefer and the quality is the SAME and flawless regardless. He is very adaptable and will do whatever he can to fit me in his schedule even stay late or come early. I can't say enough good stuff about him. He really is a gem and a keeper if you are looking for nail tech whose work is outstanding and far better than anyone else I have gone to in my 22 years of getting acrylics done. I would recommend him to anyone who asks and have a jillion times since I get asked almost everyday where I get my nails done. If you are looking for the best look no further Sam is it! You won't be sorry and truly will never go to anyone else after seeing Sam. If I could I would give him 10 stars because 5 stars truly doesn't do him justice. What else can I say but you won't be sorry going to Sam and guarantee that you won't ever have to look for another nail tech ever again. Truly he is the best there is in the nail game! I took my girl friend here and she loves this place. All the stations are nicely cleaned and sanitized and the wait is less than 10 mins. She loves her acrylic nails, so fire and on point exactly what she wanted and they even added little butterflies and they were just so cute. They told her they didn't even have a fan to dry regular polish because "everyone gets gel," as if choosing a standard manicure wasn't a valid option. When my mom politely mentioned that her polish looked bumpy, instead of fixing it or offering a solution, the nail technician blamed her. She was told it was her fault because she chose regular polish, and that if she had gotten gel, they could have made her nails look nice. They essentially told her that her nails looked bad because of her choice and spoke to her in a condescending, disrespectful way. No paying customer should ever be talked down to or made to feel ashamed for choosing one service over another. If your salon offers regular polish, then it should be applied with the same level of care and professionalism as gel--not used as an opportunity to pressure customers into spending more money. My mom deserved kindness, respect, and quality service. Instead, she left feeling embarrassed, insulted, and crying. That is completely unacceptable. We will never be returning, and I hope the owners seriously address how their customers are treated. No one should leave a nail salon feeling worse than when they walked in.
