It is dimly lit with vibrant fluorescent accents that create a unique and stunning ambiance. The gorgeous floral installation in the center of the restaurant is a lovely focal point. Our server was incredibly bubbly and helpful, making the entire experience 5 stars. The prices were very reasonable, the portions were generous and the food was incredible. My one disappointment was the Bangkok Street Noodles with smoked brisket, rice noodles, egg, chili, and crunchy garlic. I expected them to have more spice, but they were much sweeter than spicy. The star of the meal was the Orange Chicken. I do not usually order orange chicken, but this version was outstanding! It was perfectly crispy without being too sweet, with fresh orange peel, sweet chili, and bok choy. The Veggie Fried Rice was another perfect dish. Loaded with button mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, red peppers and scallions, it was loaded with fresh vegetables and flavor. It is the kind of dish I could eat every day! Blackbird Modern Asian exceeded our expectations. Between the inviting atmosphere, exceptional service, generous portions, and delicious food, we only wish it was closer. Charleston needs a location!

Ordered Confucius Says and a Suit and Thai. Both were delicious. Nik enthusiastically recommended the Thai Beef Jerky and it was seriously the best bites of the night. Tender, succulent and such a great flavor topped with sesame seeds and fresh green onions. The chicken lettuce cups were generously filled and the contrast between the warm chicken and the crispy cold lettuce and veggies was wonderful. The egg rolls were not bad but just average although the dipping sauces were so good. The mustard could be a bit zippier but should appeal to most palates. We split the Bangkok Street Noodles and the mustard greens added and delightful texture to an otherwise soft dish. The food was excellent but it was the service that made it special. The General Manager stopped by to check that we liked everything. Nik was attentive but not intrusive and there were dedicated staff assigned to clear plates, always keeping the table clear, clean and fresh. Nik did a great job pacing the courses so we never felt rushed but never waited too long. Next time we will stick with the Thai Beef Jerky and try new things. Everything was wonderful and well worth the price.

Their menu is varied and easy on the wallet. We ordered the I had ordered their Hot & Crunchy Grouper pricing at $19.95. The grouper "balls" were deep fried (not oily) and hot and crunchy with pineapple slaw, candied sesame pecans, steamed rice and creamy-mango sauce (can't wait to go back for lunch and order this dish again). My hubby ordered Nemo's Snapper Fish Tacos (2) priced at $18.95 and served with Caribbean rice, warm tortilla (Wheat or Corn) green cabbage, lime, queso fresco cheese, pickled onion condiments selection and creamy apple salad. His meal was outstanding. Highly recommend for a unique place for lunch.

I ordered their so-called specialty: the Nemo's Ultimate Miso Sea Bass--advertised as a "legendary signature dish served with a citrus-ginger butter sauce and asparagus." It arrived at my table practically frozen. After sending it back, I ordered the ginger steamed snapper, which was completely flavorless and tasted like cardboard. The only saving grace of the entire night was the service and the wine (a Txomin from the Basque Country). Save your time and money. Do not eat here.

After we were done they brought the bill to our table, so it was a bit of a weird counter/table service model. We ordered a bunch of food but my favorites were the twice-cooked chicken and Mongolian beef. We also got shrimp with vegetables, crab Rangoon, sweet and sour shrimp, and Dan Dan noodles. The total before tip was about $90. The twice cooked chicken was a large portion that came with steamed white rice. The chicken was tender and plentiful, and I liked the veggies - zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, etc. It was pretty salty, but mixed with the rice it wasn't too bad. I was excited for the Dan Dan noodles as it's a favorite dish. This version was a little different than others I've had, but still good, and the leftovers were great. We had a bunch of food left over and it reheated well. I liked this spot and would go back again. The vibe inside is a little sparse but we sat outside. I'm sure they probably do a lot of takeout.

Had lunch there recently when I visited the town for a race. Definitely the best meal I had there,…read moreand my server was one of the best I have ever seen. The restaurant has a large menu featuring different ramen (dry or w/ soup) and rice dishes, as well as appetizers. I tried their steamed vegetable dumplings and the pork ribs dry ramen. Both dishes were fantsastic. It was the first time that I had dumplings filled with endamame+minced garlic. It was savory and slightly sweet. The meat in the ramen was fork-tender and full of umami; the ramen was chewy; and it was served with a wide variety of fresh vegetables (zucchin, broccoli, carrot, onions, green onions, corn, microgreens, pickled ginger). The ramen was ~5oz. PS: the noodles are salty -- ramens are meant to be salty. Service was awesome. Several things that my server impressed me: 1. He asked me about my food allergies -- important for seafood-dense restaurants like a Japanese restaurant. 2. I asked for some extra ramen when I just got the entree. He suggested to bring me the extra when I almost finish the ramen in my entree. Surprisingly, he brought a small bowl of ramen exactly when I was about to finish it -- very precise and customer-oriented. 3. Food was served in a reasonable amount of time. 4. When he was taking the order of another table, he gave recommendations to the customers based on their dietary preferences, instead of blindly mentioning the "signature dishes" like most servers do. Moreover, when the customers ordered food, he squat down to listen what they said carefully. So, yes, I speak highly of this restaurant. Definitely recommend it. And I will dine in it again next time I visit Naples.

One of our neighbors used to live in the area and recommended anything in Tin City for lunch. We walked to Tin City from the free parking structure just off 5th Avenue and, while we found the area mildly interesting, we didn't like any of the typical joints along the water. Besides, having eaten at Dockside in Venice the day prior, we were looking for something other than seafood. In looking at Yelp, we were intrigued by Ichi Togarishi so we walked back towards 5th Avenue. Located just off 5th Avenue, this small place would be quite easy to miss. Upon entering, we realized how snug this place was. We were seated promptly and presented the menu. My wife ordered the Chicken Veggie Shoyu Soy Ginger and I had the Chashu Belly Garlic Noodle. We both liked our dishes, with complex, bold flavors. The Chashu belly was tender with sweetness and soy flavor shining thru. Its flavor profile reminded me of Pad Thai. A very nice find in Naples!

We know this, and are therefore VERY careful about what we consume. We also tell our server up front as well. So, as soon as we sat down to eat, I began explaining to the server that we have some odd allergies. I cannot eat anything with turmeric, shellfish or tree nuts. My daughter has a tree nut allergy. Our server was very attentive and wrote down all my allergies to confirm with the chef. He came back and told me almost every dish has oyster sauce, so my only option was sweet and sour chicken and plain, steamed white rice. I understand that when going to an Asian restaurant that I often have few options. I'm not complaining about not having more than one option though I hope in the future they figure out how to make some dishes without oyster sauce. I'm also aware that many dishes have tree nuts, and so no complaints that I only had the one option. Our meals came out, and I began to eat my sweet and sour chicken. I noticed immediately that it was a weird texture. And then the flavor hit--it was shrimp. I began to spit it out of my mouth and immediately grabbed Benadryl. Thankfully up to this point with my allergies, I've not had to use an epi pen. The Benadryl has worked, BUT....if you have allergies, you know that each additional exposure adds to your body's histamine response. I always start with Benadryl and then have epi pens on hand as well. We brought the issue to the attention of the server. He was very apologetic and brought me a new plate of what I actually ordered. The server then didn't come back to our table until we were almost finished. There wasn't a manager or a chef that came to check on me. My father in law had to ask for the meal to be taken off the bill. Then they brought out two orders of donut holes as a consolation. As he set them down, he said, "These are not for either of you, they have nuts." So all of this to say that this restaurant is NOT allergy friendly. The ambiance was fine--clean and nice decor. There are a lot of people with allergies. If you are running a restaurant, expect to have questions about different food ingredients, and by all means, pay attention to what you're cooking and sending out to the dining room. I'm just thankful the Benadryl seems to have worked, but it could have ended very differently. We will not be back.

The awkward part is the table for four right there so basically your posterior is in their face. No place to stand and wait so we did our best with a shitty situation. Finally seated outside but waited for a server to start the evening and overall I'll say it was enjoyable, am not compelled to rush back. There are a lot of sushi restaurants in Naples so it'll be a while. With that out of the way the menu is unique enough to suggest you preview before arriving, but there are a lot of items to enjoy. We began with Chawan Mushi and a mushroom soup. Soup ranks very low while the app was unique enough to recommend. We ordered the spicy Ika Sarada which I won't recommend at all. The tuna was okay but it's a build-your own at the table and it doesn't work. Pass. We ordered Sushi Rolls which helped make up for the experience to date. Double Maguro, Pink Panther, and two bluefin/crab rolls were the hit. The only Maki was the Aburi (butter fish) which as you might expect, bland. Pass on that. Definitely a pricey experience with the foursome getting a $300bill; but a nice bottled wine selection to choose from so overall a 3-star experience.

A Fantastic First Visit - Happy Hour Done Right!…read more I stumbled upon Lola 41 in Old Downtown Naples for their happy hour, which kicks off daily at 3:30 PM. I arrived a bit early - around 3:10 - and by 3:25 a small crowd had already started to gather, which tells you something about how popular this place is. Despite a little drizzle, people were eager to get in, and I quickly understood why. This was my first visit to Lola 41, and I was immediately struck by the space. The ambiance when you walk in is absolutely fabulous - beautifully designed and full of energy. The doors opened right at 3:31, and the bar filled up fast. As it turned out, they were celebrating their 2-year anniversary, which I had no idea about, but the buzz in the room made it feel like a special occasion. The bartending staff handled the rush with impressive efficiency - drinks were coming out quickly even as the place packed in. I thoroughly enjoyed my cocktail, and it delivered exactly what I was hoping for. I also ordered off the happy hour menu, and while there was a small mix-up with my food (completely understandable given the volume and the anniversary excitement), the staff was absolutely wonderful about it. They accommodated my request to have my order packed to go without any hesitation - and I have to say, once I got back to my hotel and dug in, I was not disappointed at all. For anyone visiting the Naples area, I highly recommend making Lola 41 a stop, even if just for happy hour. Grab a cocktail, try an appetizer, and I promise it will leave you wanting to come back for a full dinner. This one has earned a regular spot on my list, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!
