*UPDATE* BE AWARE He said he fixed my issues and the same issue arose again in less than a month. I contacted the BBB and he ignored them three times. I requested my money back for the so call patch-up job and an unhooking of my car battery. The BBB contacted me and advised me that the owner did not respond. However, this "shop" has a negative feedback on the BBB website. This place is not affiliated with the BBB so you will not receive service from any certified mechanics. Just a bunch of guys guessing and utilizing youtube. I wasn't offered to have the issues corrected just a rude racist owner who took advantage of me. God sees and knows all. I brought an exhaust up pipe to this shop to get an old stud removed. I brought them a new 10$ OEM stud to put in. They screwed up the thread for the hole and broke my new stud. I was quoted 45$ for 30 min of labor. They spent an hour breaking my exhaust and refused to charge me less than 40$. For those that don't understand, a reputable shop is supposed to absolve costs like that and not screw your over. I was charged what would've been fair if the job had been done right but it wasn't. Additionally I stressed to them before the job it was very important to keep metal bits and pieces out of this exhaust as it connects to my turbo and will blow it up it metal gets in. They gave me the part back with metal inside it. If you are in this area and you need work done I suggest you stay away from Sam's and go to Coit Auto down the road. read more

At first when I called, the person on the phone said he could take a look and then decide what was wrong. When I got there, this person insisted that I had to pay $45 for a diagnosis before they would do anything. When I asked if they could take a look first, that person declined and said "we don't do it for free". read more

My laziness cost me $35. I didn't want to drive to Dallas to visit my usual shop and I figured since I knew what needed to be done I could just tell them and get it over with. I got a quote for $500!! When I said I couldn't do that today because I didn't have the money I got charged $35 for the assessment. Took the car to my usual shop and got a quote for $200. My son's car absolutely died on his way to work. He just happened to coast into the parking lot where Sam's is located. Because his car is older, there could have been numerous things wrong with it. The battery, the alternator, the doohickey thingamajigger that spins the belt, the headlight washer fluid... I didn't know. It could have been anything having to do with the power of the car as far as I know. We walked in expecting to be taken advantage of because of our situation. However, he took one look under the hood and told us exactly what it was and at the rest of it was just fine. It was a $250 fix. He confirmed that it was not the battery, and it was not the alternator. He could have told us it was and replaced them and made an extra $500 -$700 off of us and we would not have known the difference. And he did same day service to boot! I am very impressed with this auto shop and will definitely be coming here from now on! read more

Just moved from across the country and, no sooner do I get here that my transmission blew. Since I haven't had a chance to find a new car shop, I searched around and found Sam's. I was uncertain, at first, just because I've had too many experiences of shops trying to upsell or overmark prices, but although it was expensive, Sam gave me a fair and competitive price for the work and labor. (I called around to several other places that work with transmissions and his price was the same or slightly less than everywhere else.) He was honest and upfront with the repairs needed, and even made sure my car was ready and able to pass the state inspection and completed that for me once I needed it. Went here for AC repair (blowing hot air). First day their equipment was not working so had to wait until next day. They filled the frion and replaced some valves and said it was working. We had to go back in as the AC started blowing hot air again. This time left the car over the weekend and again the same situation happened. I had to take the car to the dealership to get it fixed.
