My dad orders from Sam's Eatery all the time, and we finally tried it ourselves today -- and wow, it was SO delicious. Going forward, we'll definitely be ordering from here not just for ourselves, but also for parties and family gatherings at home. We got the platter that feeds 4-6 people, and it was beautifully arranged with such generous portions. There were different types of meats, grilled vegetables, potatoes, plus rice and salad -- everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The meat was especially impressive: juicy, not dry at all, and not overly seasoned so you could really taste the quality. The pricing is amazing for the quality, quantity, and presentation you get. I found out about Sam's Eatery from my boss, who is Armenian. I told him about a trip I had to Venezuela to see some of my family members. And come to find out I have cousins that are Syrian/Venezuelan and Lebanese/Venezuelan. We were talking about Shawarma and he was like "you have to try Sam's Eatery on Sherman Way. It's not so far from where I work. So I put in an order for pickup. I ordered the Steak Shawarma. I would have to say that it is definitely worth a try. I love it!! We tried the chicken plate, the lamb chops, pork ribs even the lentil soup and nothing disappointed. Each plate was served with protein, rice, salad, hummus and pita bread. Amazing!!! Some of the great most fresh mediterranean/Armenian food I have ever had. The kebabs are cooked to absolute perfection and The side salad is so fresh and delicious. What a delicious place and a great looking food plate. I ordered food for 15 people yesterday with some side salads: beets salad WOW, yogurt with cucumbers, hummus and the cucumber & tomato salad. The tray came with cooked meat and grilled veggies, which they grill right outside the restaurant, came with potatoes as well. This was a good place to eat, their food was good and tasty however their quality has not improved, lately I even found maggots one day after buying their 8 person plater. We removed the foil container they give you the food in from the fridge and as we were going to serve on our plates to warm it and eat, we found the maggots moving on the meat. I went back to the place and talked to Sam about this and in turn, Sam got angry and blamed it on our fridge being the culprit of the maggot, contamination. read more

I actually got my ipad out to write this review. This place is AMAZING and should have a line out the door. Everything is phenomenal. I got the beef kebab plate which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The star of the show is really suprisingly the bread. I don't know if it's lavash or pita or what but it's paper thin and wraps perfectly around whatever you want to stuff it with. I also got a chicken shwarma (it was a long day) which was fresh, juicy and had a sweetness from somewhere that blew all others out of the water.
