Have been going here for years but my most recent visit was a disaster! Brought in a few shirts and a pair of slacks for cleaning. The slacks had something splashed on them at a restaurant (some kind of sauce) and I specifically asked them to pretreat and remove the stain. The lady marked the stained areas with a sticker. When I picked up the slacks another lady was there and had no idea if the stain had been removed. So I checked and not only did they not get the stain out it appears that they spread the stain into the pants leg because they pressed the stain into both legs. All the lady said was sorry no offer to try to clean them properly. So I tried to clean them at home and was able to remove most of the stain with Shout and going thru the washer. but the area that they pressed melted something into the fabric so the slacks are relegated to yard work from now on. If the cleaners had just done a simple pre-treatment like I asked them to, everything would have been fine. I will be giving up my dukedom and will never return here. I advise you to avoid them as well! read more

My family has been coming here for 10 years and after today, we will be changing dry cleaners. I should check my clothes before I leave but because I trust this place I never do. I decided to go back to the cleaners after seeing stains on my coat and they wanted to charge me again. It was exactly in the condition it was in when I brought it home. I was shocked when I spoke with the owner and he was questioning me and telling me to take my business elsewhere. I will for sure be taking my business elsewhere and will let my family and friends know about this place. All their police /sheriff uniforms will be going somewhere else. It's ridiculous how you help small business owners and you get treated like crap. Forget those "specials" they have and go somewhere else where customer service is better. read more

Once upon a time, when Sam's Environmental Cleaners first opened, they were one of the best places in Chino Hills to take your dry cleaning. I was a loyal customer for over 10 years. They had great hours... They opened at 7 AM and closed at 6 M-F and had good Saturday hours too. The owner and the employees were friendly and courteous and their prices were very reasonable. Then Covid happened. I believe the business was sold, and their customer service, hours, and prices changed dramatically. They open at 8am and close at 4 PM, but they take their last customer at 3:50. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning, admittedly, my clothes had been there for several months, they did not honor the price that was on my ticket. My dry cleaning should have come out to roughly $38 for 6 pieces of clothing. I was charged over $60 for those same 6 pieces. When I asked why the discrepancy, they said their prices changed. Is it me, or is $10 a garment a bit pricey to spend for dry cleaning? read more

Went back, same no greeting and didn't have change for my 100$ bill. So I'm thinking they would get change but I had to go get change. Never find that before. This cleaners was good under the previous owner/original owner, but not now. I tried to hang into there with lost items and an occasional mistake because the problem was always resolved. Finally, I just had enough, I'm done and I don't recommend them. I drop a lot of clothes on a regular basis and always emphasize, NO CREASE in my pants/shorts , especially those which are clearly flat front. I drop off/pick up a large order on my way to work and ALL of my pants have hard creases. You can't get them out, the pants are ruined. Great dry cleaners, very personable staff, 100% on time to promise. As with all businesses, there has been price creep. My only recommendation is to make sure the revised hours are updated on yelp and other websites. I would fully recommend Sam's if you need a long term dry cleaner. Sam's place is a great place to have your clothes dry cleaned. Unlike other reviewers, I just have uniforms and suits cleaned, and they do a fine job. So long as they know the difference between cotton and silk, I am good! Parking is a little tricky, but the center did make a few improvements. I like to go here because it is not as pricey as others but lately I only take laundry shirts and... BEWARE: they will take in your shirts as regular laundry and give you a certain price but if they check them and they consider it is not laundry either because, it is a stretchy material, XXL, pockets, etc. they will change the item to dry clean and charge you more without even notifying you. They should always notify at the moment of dropping off or call you or, last resort, leave the item unwashed but they will just do it and charge you for it so be careful. I have met the owners of the business and they are very nice people. Overall the service is good. I have no complaints. I dropped off my clothes last week and was told they would be ready Monday. I show up Monday to pick up clothes which I needed for an afternoon meeting. The employee says, sorry it is not ready and won't be ready until tonight. She implies it's my fault I didn't specify Monday morning even though they stated it will be ready Monday. I ask for the manager. Some guy comes out of the back and says it's not ready with a disparaging attitude. He said I can talk to the owner next month about it. No offer to speed it up, no apology for my clothes not being ready Monday as stated, no apology at all, no effort to correct the situation. Horribly ran business, horrible customer service. I've been comming to this dry cleaners for over 15 years! I rush over to the dry cleaners to pick up my close and the signs says that the hours are changed and closes at 6 Monday-Friday! But online shows they close at 7!!! I have a funeral to attend at 8 am and they open at 8:30 am!! This is ridiculous!!!! This is for sure my last time comming to them! I've been going to this place for the last two years. For the most part, they do a decent job and the pricing is the same as most. Don't fall for the 40% off scam, as this "discount" lowers the price to most of the competition. I agree 100% with the previous review from CK regarding this dishonest practice of upselling the cost to launder a shirt. When you go to drop off your shirts to be laundered they always try to separate some and charge you extra for hand pressing or to even dry clean a simple cotton mens dress shirt. Today, I got fed up with arguing with them as they refused to simply launder these shirts as they have been by ever other business I have used. I refuse to be ripped off or to have an argument with a business that should appreciate my patronage. How stupid of Sam's to lose many good customers by trying to rip them off on the upsell laundry scam! One other thing, the parking and getting out of the lot is a real hassle. read more

I notice my dry cleaning wasn't coming out as nice as it use to be in the pass months and years.. on top it's under new ownership, instead of 2.25 for men's pants it is now 4.25 without no mention of price increase .. Recently, took my Dressy Blouse that has a vest attached. The sleeves were stained, the Clerk put marking tape on the stained areas. When I went to pick the item up, the stains were still there. She agreed to have it sent back to get cleaned again. Stopped to pick it up and the Facility was closed (new hours of operation was posted). Stopped the following weekday, the item was still uncleaned. I was told they didn't want to ruin the fabric. She charged me the full price for the job, refused to offer a discount. I have had great service for alterations and dry cleaning. Usually a Latina woman attends me. Today, a rude Asian older lady helped me and she had the worst attitude. Normally clothes are dry cleaned Ok - double check stains. Do not recommend giving clothes for just wash - normally comes out yellow or stained. Collar and sleeves always come back with stains. Zippers and buttons make sure before you give and when you pick up. Ironing is normally ok to bad - all the time comes back with multiple creases. read more

Do not give this buisness any of your money! The new owner is terrible and a complete con artist! I had some jeans altered. They were bootcut but too baggy. When I came in to ask if they could he altered in detail I went over what I wanted. The woman at the front wrote detailed notes. Received the pants after I paid to realize they completely ruined them. When I spoke to the owner he blamed me, which his associate corrected him in telling him that I was clear in my description. He refused to give me a refund for the pants and alterations. Said he would give me $20 in cash and $45 in credit. I was over our phone conversations so I agreed. I got my $20. Went today to pick up an order after not going for a couple months. He said he gave me the credit on an order already (check your computer that's a lie. Was trying to go back on his word. I asked the girl to call the other associate who said that I indeed did not get or use any of my credit. Then he says I only have $20 in credit! This place is terrible! For the price, this place is great! I am super picky with how dry cleaners clean clothes, and this one is pretty good. I've never been disappointed. My stains for the most part have been removed, and they have items pressed and ready when I need them. The people there are very professional, and have patience with me when I point out every stain on some of my clothing.. ;) When some stains are not removed on the first try, they will attempt a second try. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!! When I was pregnant a few months ago I went to this place to get pants tailored. When I returned a week later, they couldn't find my pants! The attendant didn't know where they were and I had my ticket. They said to come back when the manager was there. I returned twice a week for a month to get the same excuses that they couldn't find it and that the manager wasn't on I would have to come back. I since then delivered my baby. When I was finally able to go back some asain lady who barley spoke english found my pants and after I complained that it had been over a month that you couldn't find my pants that I shouldn't have to pay because they were not ready when promised and THEY LOST THEM! she still demanded I pay. SERIOUSLY???? How nasty is that? These pregnancy pants I didn't even need anymore because I wasn't pregnant! I paid her the $8 because those pants were worth $30 hopefully I can get pregnant again in a few years and still use them. Oh and as a side note I wasn't the only one not to happy that they couldn't find their stuff. Two times that I went back to try and see if they had my pants, there was other customers that they couldn't find their stuff either, so its not just me. The price is really good and service isn't bad. However, we always run into this problem that the lady who took the clothes in the morning always ask us to do "hand pressed dry clean". She gave me a feeling that she wants to make more money on those shirts. We only ask for regular laundry because it is what is says on the tag. If I drop off the clothes in the afternoon, no one will ask me to upgrade laundry into hand pressed dry clean. I think they should respect what customer really wants instead of trying to sell for a more expensive service. Also, there was one time they accepted the clothes as regular laundry. After couple hours they called, the lady said it had to be dry clean. ( Again !!! ) We asked why do we have to do dry clearn?? She said: Because the size is too small. ( When does size be an issue for laundry? ) I didnt understand why smaller size clothes can only do dry clean. She said: If you only wanted to do the cheap one, we would need to reject you this time. We end up just do the "hand pressed dry clean" as she always suggested. Hahaha.. I dont know what to say about this lady. read more

I had four pairs of slacks tailored here, and they were all done TOO SHORT. I cannot wear them with the heels I had them fitted for, instead I have to wear heels that are 1" shorter. Since I am only 5'0", you can see why this is a problem! I need all the height I can get. I paid $8/pair to have them tailored (no lining). So now, it's flood or be shorter. Also, one pair had two different hemlines... one leg is visibly shorter than the other. Also an issue! Also, not really sure why they are called Environmental Cleaners, since they do not boast of being environmentally friendly. I desperately need an organic cleaners in the IE. The 99 cents dress shirt dry clean promotion is a little misleading, since I was charged extra for "hand-press" - so came out to be $2 and change per shirt. Pretty steep compared to my usual dry cleaners who do the exact same thing for 99 cents per shirt. Service was friendly and fast. My shirts came back still a little wrinkle on some parts and smell a little bit more industrial than usual - if that makes sense. There also was a questionable short curly hair stuck on one of the shirts.... No idea what happened there but I am getting the shirts re-cleaned tomorrow. Would I come back? Nope. I would travel a little further to my usual dry cleaners which is cheaper and does a much better job than this establishment. Had they not pulled the "hand-press" crap I would have considered bringing my business back. Oh well. read more
