Cozy atmosphere, limited seating so be prepared to wait on a weekend night. Food is delicious and the waitresses are very friendly. We would definitely come back! Great local spot that is consistently good!

Small, yet cool place with a warm, lodge feel. Full service bar with lots of craft drafts. Started my lunch with a small bowl of clam chowder and it was excellent! Then onto their Tavern Club which featured their in-house roasted turkey - delicious! Side of coleslaw was lackluster and tasteless. Service was a bit slow but adequate.

Fun atmosphere and great food. The parking lot was packed. We were concerned walking in, but there was enough room for our party of 3. We ordered 1/2 order of beet, spinach and goat cheese salad and 1/2 order of the famous nachos, which the bartender/server offer to do for us so we could try more items. We also had crab cakes, oven toasted chicken flatbread, and Thai chicken dumplings. The beet salad was surprisingly delicious, we loved the dressing and how it paired with the beets. The Thai dumplings were much bigger than expected, the sauces complimented well, that would be a meal on its own. Fig chicken flatbread was really flavorful too. Crab cakes were a hit. Bartender and server was on top of everything with a packed bar. Plenty of parking We will be back.

This is a popular local spot in Scituate, right next to Scituate famous pizza on route 6 and 116. From the outside, it doesn't look like much. Inside, it's a cozy space with intimate tables and a long bar. Whether you're a local or just an occasional visitor, the staff makes you feel warm and welcome. They have rotating drink and food specials, along with a decent assortment of beer, both local and popular brews. If I had to describe this in a sentence, I would say it's an upscale Chelo's with a better atmosphere. For what you get in quality and size and portions, the price is more than reasonable and the food is pretty good. A great spot for a casual date or a meet-up with friends. Be sure to stop by if you're in town for the Art Fest!

This little restaurant is worth the ride. The bar is fairly large, but is usually always full. The bar has a great daily selection of beers in the can and on draft. The bartenders are awesome and always have great recommendations and a cocktail menu. The menu has plenty to choose from and there is always a great list of choices on the daily special menu. I usually order off the daily specials and I have never been disappointed. My go to if I don't know what to order is the steak sandwich...it's made with the tenderloin so it is super tender and it's delicious. The side salads are also really fresh and made with quality ingredients.

Great tavern food and drinks. I have driven by this place a million times and never have stopped. Portions are enormous, food is fresh, prices are right and drinks are perfect. Our bartender/server was pleasant even though she was super busy! No frills here-just good food priced right!

I can't say enough good things about this place. They definitely have it figured out, a true tavern with top notch food and great service. I stop here for lunch multiple times a week and never miss the opportunity to stop in for a nice dinner! Worth mentioning that they do not own a freezer, so all the food is fresh! I strongly recommend the Bentley Burger, truthfully the best burger i ever had, it hits the spot every time! I usually order it with the side mixed green salad. The dressing is homemade and to die for! I love the Village Tav!!

Rude service. The food is decent but can't patronize any restaurant that allows staff to treat customers like $hit.

I've seen on social media that people complained about the new location having mainly street parking - we both found parking easily on the street - quit yer b*tchin' people lol. Besides I believe they have a lot behind the restaurant that we didn't have to use but it's there if needed. We were the only ones there when we first walked in but more patrons came in as the night went on. Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. Absolutely will return!

They put much thought and detail into their cocktail menu here and many can be made into equally pretty mocktails as well. Brad took care of us while there and he was the best! It's upscale and elegant and can't be perfect for a fancy night out or also a casual (but pretty) drink at the bar. We got some really good pizza while there, and heard they will be changing up their menu soon and can't wait to come back and try that as well. The upstairs space is also really special! It was stunning and I'm so glad we checked it out. I'm already plotting how it would be perfect for the book club I'm in! The Orchard Grill always disappoints:…read more The place is a mishmash of furniture from different periods in the buildings history, there's a section of cafe seating and booths. Its fine and seemed relatively clean. For this visit, we arrived about 9AM early in the work week, the restaurant was at about 20-25% capacity. There were 3 waitstaff on the floor and one showed up shortly after we were seated, this brought the total number of servers to 4. The staff immediately seemed put upon by our presence. I usually try to seem more friendly when I am confronted with folks like this, but they would have none of it. My friendly smiles were met with blank stares. Once we were seated, the drink question was asked of us. But the staffer was multi tasking, and when we responded, it was acknowledged as if we'd rudely interupted them. Further interactions went similarly. Our food arrived on the slow side but in a reasonable amount of time. The waffle was fluffy and crisp, the pancake thick and on the dry, soft, cakey end of the spectrum, (vs thin, buttery and crisp). Fruit was your standard food distributor pre-cut variety of melon, red grapes and pineapple, the same stuff you get at the supermarket. My scrambled eggs were overcooked, dry and rubbery but I have had worse. Bacon was similarly dry, probably reheated, not cooked to order. Italian toast was from a real Italian loaf, thin but decent. Homefries were pretty good. Once the food arrived, no one came by the table again to check on things until well after we'd finished eating. I initially thought there were no refills on the weak coffee until I heard an adjacent table being offered a refill. We were never asked if we needed anything else, or if the food was okay. That said, the food at the Orchard Grill isn't bad, it's just mediocre.. Paired with the bare minimum of unfriendly service, it was just not worth the 40+ dollars for the adult and two kids meals. Waitstaff treat you like a task, not like patrons, not like people seeking a positive experience. At the Orchard Grill you are an obstacle to be oveecome with the very smallest amount of effort you can get away with without seeming overtly hostile. I decided to try and original eggs Benedict, which baked beans instead of hash browns. The poached eggs were nice and runny, the beans had really good flavor with some bacon and onions in them. Very acceptable. The coffee was not all that hot, though, which was surprising. Cost was reasonable too. If you're looking for a breakfast spot, I assure you that you can do worse.
