For just under $11 I got myself a LARGE steak, tendon + EXTRA meat pho which tastes better than any pseudo-pho place in Bellevue or Issaquah that would've cost me over $15. And of course the broth and the meat are very tasty! Fried shrimp is excellent. Crispy noodles is very good and my kids loved it. Portion is extremely generous. Local hole in the walls that are so hard to find anymore, further pushed to extinction by the pandemic. Got some takeaway and it was as yummy as the dine in experience. The food takes time to arrive, but that's because it is freshly prepared. Ordering can be a bit confusing on the phone, but please cut them some slack and support your community. Let's set the bar here. Pho is a relatively cheap bowl of yumminess that is just good for the soul. Sams excel at this. The pho is good, the bubble tea is awesome and the place is super convenient. The restaurant is simple. Lots of room. Clean and the service is good. Menu wise the pho is pretty good. If you have eaten a lot of pho it's probably in the top 20%. Pho Tan Brothers are my fave so you can use that as the bar. I think Sams is a nicer location than Pho Tan and still provides some pretty kick ass pho. Now their sandwiches are epic. I do love a good Bahn Mi every now and then and these are great. Nice fresh bread, loads of herbs. Just freaking yummy food! So next time you are in Carnation give these guys a try. Whether you want great noodle soup or some of those delicious crab rangoons, this is the place to go. The noodle soups have a generous amount of noodles, bean sprouts, basil, and meat. You can get the soups from mild to light your mouth on fire!!! read more

Sam's Noodle Town has been a staple in our dinning out plans since they opened. The food is great and the people are very nice. The take out volume is very high in the evenings, so call ahead if you can. Their full menu is online. Also, we have seen people eating in the restaurant since the state has re-opened. Standard Vietnam Pho and the size is bigger than other Pho place on the east side. The restaurant post a lot of reviews outside to show it is a good/clean place for Pho (it got negative rating somehow and probably scared a lot of people out). We didn't have any problem after our meal. read more

I continue to be surprised by the presence of high-quality restaurant food in the boonies. Sam's definitely qualifies. Best bet is to stick with the Vietnamese dishes. They also have some teriyaki and Chinese options on the menu, but those are definitely second-fiddle to the bún, phở, and bánh mì. The grilled pork is tender and savory, and the tiger prawns are fried with just a hint of crispy batter and taste delicious. Traditional Thai and Vietnamese drinks are available. You can also order various flavored "smoothies" (frozen drinks with many of the common bubble tea flavors...pearls and jelly available). But be warned, all these drinks are sugar bombs. They taste delicious, but don't order them if you're trying to avoid sweets, or don't like overly sweet foods. read more

Food is not bad but they are lacking in training in food allergies. Both times we ate there I had a reaction. Food allergies are akin to hygiene practices. If you can manage segregation of raw from cooked or clean dishes from dirty food allergens should not be an issue either. Makes me wonder how's hygiene in this place? read more

Sam's noodle town is the best around! The staff is absolutely wonderful and very friendly. They always talk with you and ask how you are, and I'm in there so often they actually know me by name! This is the newest addition to the limited restaurant options in Carnation and it exceeded any expectations I would have had for a small town family-run Vietnamese restaurant. The food was delicious - our party had fried won-tons with sweet chili sauce, calamari, fresh shrimp spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce, Pad Thai, beef noodle pho, and vermicelli noodle bowls with chicken and pork. All the food was fresh, well seasoned, huge portions, and ridiculously cheap prices. (Less than $9 or $10 per entree.) The food was on par with much fancier and pricier pho restaurants in Bellevue or Redmond. My only suggestion is you wait to go until next week because they are still fine tuning their operations and were very apologetic about the food taking a while to come out. I think they will have to-go ordering options in the near future but for now it is dine-in only. The atmosphere was simple but clean and functional. Tons of parking available out front. I'm a phonatic. Been to a lot of Pho joints in my day. I hunt new ones out regularly. Sam's is one of the best Pho places I've been to. Very fresh ingredients, lots of options, good price & the broth is spot on. I've also tried many other plates there & have yet to be disappointed. A tie for my favorite chicken Pho. If I had to pick an ultimate winner, this would be it because of convenience. My kids love the chicken fried rice, sesame chicken and the teriyaki. My husband likes the pork sandwich, the vermicelli bowls, and all the Pho. Any of it :) We eat here at least 3x a month - half the time carryout. read more

First time trying after years in Carnation. There have been other less successful Asian restaurants occupying the spot periodically but Sam's has stuck around and the Yelp Reviews looked excellent. It is totally great! My Mom and I had the $6 Banh Mi sandwich which came on a great French roll, had plenty of teriyaki chicken and carrot and veggies, and was so tasty. $6! As my mom said she can't even eat at McDonalds for that price. What a gift to the community. Many others enjoyed the cozy ambience and classical music over a glass of wine etc. The Pho and other options all looked fantastic. Looking at some of the annoying reviews below I honestly see ridiculous entitled small town drama next to a deluge of accurate 5 star reviews. You ordered a $5.95 kid BRISKET pho and are mad about not getting greens? LOL. Or you're complaining about the wait time for call-ins when Blake's is notoriously 10x as bad? Staffing issues are tough for small town restaurants. Do yourself a favor and try it for the healthiest, cheapest experience in the Valley. Thank you so much Sam and family! What is it about this place? It's rather unassuming but we find ourselves craving it multiple times every week! We like the egg rolls, vermicelli bowls, pho, and thai tea. It's a quiet restaurant but we feel comfortable taking our two toddlers there. The staff is very welcoming of them and they LOVE the fish tank. Getting take out has also proven to be a winner. Will not be eating here again. After ordering Fried Tofu Spring Rolls and (Pho) Noodle Soup with Tofu and Vegetables, both arrived containing meat. They are not listed with a meat option. The first had chicken and the second came with a giant pile of beef on top. When we politely and nicely explained to them that the order was wrong, we were still charged for both the items. They were not apologetic, nor seemed to understand the situation. The two meals that were ordered with meat and brought home were not appetizing. My father fed his meal to the dogs. Ok we went back and I am really glad we did. They have really turned this place around, the service is very good and the food is much better than we had before. I enjoy the portion sizes and flavors. Started by sharing a crab Rangoon appetizer. I've not had this dish before. Both of us are converts! Outstanding veggie pho broth. As everyone knows, pho is all about the broth and Sam's is definitely a winner. Also had shrimp vermicelli. Really liked the seasoning on the shrimp. Chopped egg roll in the dish was a nice addition. Big proportions, attentive server without being a nuisance. Why do some servers have difficulty with this. Anyway, he earned his tip and our gratitude. We only drank water and they made sure our glasses stayed topped off. So one shared app and two large main dishes came to $31.10 before tip. Yay! We'll be back and often. read more
