I was a ASE certified tech back in the mid 80's to the early 90's so I know a bullshit story when it comes to car repair. A co worker of mine has worked with them in the past so when I ran into a job i couldn't do my self, I rolled up on over to Sam's Place. I've found the folks at Sams Place to be honest, fair and reasonable. One of my son's car needed front end work and he got quotes from $600-$900 at other shops in town. Knowing that's crap, I sent him to Sams. In and out without any issue and all for under $250. They took care of a broke ass college kid the right way. I have a Ford. Focus 2013 and was having problems for two weeks and I took it to two other places before I took it here and they didn't know what is going on. Saw great reviews here and took a chance and took it here and it only took them couple of hours To figure out what was going on. I took my 2011 Honda Pilot in for oil change and to have my vehicle looked over to make sure all was well as I am traveling cross country. Upon inspection, it was discovered that I had a power steering leak. I was quoted $2000.00+ for repair. Due to having a warranty on my vehicle, I scheduled and appointment with the Honda Dealer for the next day. Within 2 hours I had my vehicle back, turns out the issue was only a loose line and nothing major at all. The dealer torqued the line, cleaned up the mess from the leak. Seems to me with a bit more investigation this shop could have discovered the issue instead of just assuming it was something major and quoting over $2000.00 for a repair! I went to this shop because of the reviews, will not go back. Must have been an inconvenience for the mechanic to do a better inspection to see if they could determine where the leak was coming from! Again, IT WAS A VERY SIMPLE REPAIR! read more

I used the Google map to find this place. The reviews were great. I needed brake repair and took my car for help. My bill at started at $135 and shoot all the way up to $475, just for brakes on a 2004 Volvo. Two weeks later the brakes went out, and when I took it back, of course they weren't going to admit it was any fault of their own to fix it for free! I had to pay another $145 for the opposite side, so I was told. My service engine light came on and I took my car again for an estimate on repairs. $3100 I was told and that my car was not worth repairing. The Tammy lady said "Your spark plugs are swimming in oil!" ...(Mind you my car does not have SPARK PLUGS). She continued by telling me .."the repairs are going to cost more than my vehicle is worth". My car is worth $14,700, and I had repairs done by another mechanic for $250, my car runs just fine now. read more

We decided to try Sam's out at the advice of a friend who alway gets their car worked on there and we were very pleased. They quickly took care of several issues our car had and at a better price than the local brake chains and dealership. We had one serious problem involving a fuel leak that a local dealership tried to solve twice but couldn't find. David at Sam's found the problem very quicky. I will not take my car anywhere else! I have been going here for 20+ years and have never had a bad experience. Not too long ago, the owner (Sam) passed away and I was worried that the shop would close, but fortunately that did not happen. It remains open and the service is still awesome! They are honest, reliable, and make the experience of vehicle failure a little more bearable. The shop is a small yellow building that doesn't look like much from the outside and the waiting area is no frills, but the magic happens in the back. Dave is a knowledgable, efficient mechanic who will get you back on the road as soon as possible. Sammie,at the front desk, is one of the most customer service oriented people that I've ever met. I have had just about every problem there is, between 3 different cars, he has been there with an honest and fair estimate. Had heard about this place from friends. Visited last week with my Honda and was very pleased. Needed an oil change, struts and brake work as well as the radio started again. Other shops had told me I had to go to dealer for radio code but they got it done and working for me. Impressive. I was given a needed ride to work and picked up after to get my car. I took my car there to have my battery and alternator looked at yesterday. I was told it was free to have it checked and expected at least a reasonable price. They called saying the battery was $100 (which is about right) and they wanted a $60 installation fee). Not being an idiot I had said I'll just come and get my car. The guy got very rude over the phone and slams down the phone. I go in to get my car and the two of them tried to tell me that they cannot just let me leave without charging me nothing since they spent 45 minutes figuring out whats wrong with my car. (anyplace that takes 45min to figure out your battery is bad shouldn't be working on cars to being with) Autozone or any other place would have tested my car battery for free but since I wasn't sure what it was I went to them. They both kept trying to bully me into paying some sort of fee and they were extremely mean. I pointed this out to them and the one man got nasty and asked why I didn't just go to one of those places and I said I'm sorry I came here now can I just have my car? I had to ask for my car back several times. I almost had to call the police. read more
