Genevieve was absolutely wonderful. Gave us so much information about the winemaking process and regions of their grapes. Also answered so many of our random questions and made us feel very welcome. The wine was an added bonus if you ask me. Thank you for making my birthday experience so special!

This is a hidden gem! Nestled near the Goleta neighborhoods by lake Los Carneros, this place has full service wine tasting and lots of bottles to try! Primarily sourced from the Santa Rita hills, you can taste the quality that you would expect from California wine. While the weather is mild, I recommend stopping by and grabbing a seat in their extended outdoor area, filled with several fire pits to lounge around while you sip. Will be back to sample more wine soon!

Always delicious swirling here at Samsara. Even better with tasting room mascot Gus.

For everyone who knows just how special the Santa Rita Hills/Santa Ynez Valley is for exquisite wines, Samsara Wine is the place to be to taste and experience just how special that Appellation has been. A very friendly tasting room with comfy seating inside or out. And pet friendly too. We were greeted by the tasting room English Cream mascot, Gus. He welcomed us warmly and kept us entertained throughout the tasting. Our server Anna was very gracious in walking us through the delicious tasting, and made sure we knew exactly where each bottle was harvested, as well as the history behind those special vineyards. Hard to pick a favorite, which means we will definitely be back to revisit each one. Thoroughly enjoyed their tasting list of Rose of Mouvedre/Grenache, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Gamay, Grenache, and their Cuvee d'Inspiration, Syrah/Grenache. Their intimate tasting room is located off Hwy 101 at the Los Carneros exit. Plenty of parking, and within crawling distance of Captain Fatty's Brewery.

We love Samsara! It's a great place to meet up with friends for a tasting or glass of wine. They have lots of outdoor seating and cozy indoor area (with air conditioning). All of the staff is super friendly and the wine is delicious. On our most recent visit we tried the Summer to Chill tasting which consists of all chilled wines, perfect for a hot summer day. The rosé is one of my favorites. They're also dog friendly which is a plus!

Recently had the opportunity to try Samsara and had a great time at their Goleta location. Pretty easy to find with parking available right out front. Indoor and outdoor seating options. They have two different wine tasting options, one of which is all red, but I opted for the one that included whites. All of the wines were excellent. The service was great- super attentive in filling our glasses. The decor inside is really cute. Such a cozy vibe with beautiful plants. Definitely stop in if you're in the area!

Great Pinot Noirs! The wine tasting was very educational all our questions about the wines and vineyards were answered. Loved the ambiance!

What a hidden gem!…read more We went to the Tasting Room on a whim, trying to kill some time before our dinner reservation, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay at Bacara. Yvonne is wonderful. She knows her wine and she explains everything so well. I'd say our wine knowledge is low to medium, and she is informative without being pretentious. You can tell she loves sharing her passion for wine. We ended up talking about all kinds of things, and she is just a very interesting person, period. We had a lovely time with Yvonne, and I felt like we took a fun wine class for 30+ minutes. We could've stayed a lot longer but we had to leave for our dinner reservation. We've done many wine tastings over the years, and this was one of our favorites, for sure. I think it is a great idea that Bacara has this on the resort premise, and so glad we went! It's easy to miss, but I think it will be worthwhile if you like/love wine, or even if you're just interested in finding out more about it. Next to the coffee shop in front of the hotel entrance. How often can you do wine tasting and have the option to walk back to your room and take a nap if you want? So convenient!

Nice seating areas. Yvonne was our sommelier and tasting guru. It was just the two of us and our dog. Oh, and and a very loud and demanding group of eight people off to the side. Yvonne did her best to keep them happy. She succeeded. We were happy too!!! Yvonne was very informative about the wines of Santa Ynez Valley Viticultural area, not to mention very friendly and accomodating. We are from the Sierra Foothills of Amador and El Dorado County areas which are known for their hearty Zins, Barbaras and other Rhone varietals. Yvonne took us on a tasting tour of the Santa Ynez Valley and the wide variety of beautiful wines. Impressive to say the least. The whites were great! Something that we don't have much of in the Sierra Foothills. Go if you have the time whilst at the Bacara.

It seemed like a great way to sample a variety of wines without it being overwhelming. We were warmly welcomed by Taylor, who made our visit even more enjoyable. She was incredibly friendly, took the time to explain the menu, and walked us through the wines we selected, making us feel comfortable and never rushed. We also ordered the charcuterie board, and it exceeded our expectations. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and it was surprisingly filling for the two of us. Between the welcoming service, delicious food, and relaxed atmosphere, this ended up being one of our favorite stops in Santa Barbara. I would absolutely return on my next visit and highly recommend stopping in if you're spending time in the Funk Zone.

We had a series of issues from the start. Our assigned waiter was completely inattentive; he ignored our table, failed to check on us, and never brought the cheese board we ordered. We eventually had to flag down another member of the staff just to get any service at all. Even after we caught his attention, our server seemed aware of us but made no effort to approach or assist. Additionally, the wait time for our wine flights was excessively long. When the cheese board finally arrived, I was shocked to find that all three cheeses were served still inside their original plastic wrappers--not even sliced. To make matters worse, we were provided with plastic knives to cut the cheese ourselves, which was incredibly difficult and frustrating. I have never encountered a cheese board served this way at any establishment. I really wanted to enjoy this visit, and I want to give credit to the other waitresses who were working that day--they were great and were the only saving grace of the experience. However, the lack of basic service and the bizarre presentation of the food made this a trip I wouldn't recommend

This is a family owned/operated wine and beer tasting room located in Carpinteria, with their vineyards located on nearby Rincon Mountain and in Paso Robles. Cool vibe entry area, with a large, garage-like back room and outdoor tasting areas. Parking available both on street and in a private lot in back. WINES: We were fortunate to have Jill, co-owner with her husband Edward, pour for us and the service was excellent. We tried 5 wines from the tasting menu, a '22 Storytime Rosè, '22 Susie Q (white Rhone blend), 2020 Dusty Vinyl (Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre red blend), '19 Tempranillo, and a '19 Monk (Bordeaux red blend). In addition, Jill also poured us a '22 Syrah. Again, all the wines were well-made and flavorful. We took advantage of the waived tasting fee and took several bottles home with us. You can also purchase wines by the glass or enjoy a bottle onsite. BEER: New since our last visit, Jill and Edward decided to brew beer, so we also decided to share a tasting. All ingredients are grown on their property and they're currently pouring a Lu Lu Lager, a Monk's Ration (Belgian Ale), and a Sal's Stout. The pours are generous and easily enough for two people to share a tasting. We're not huge beer fans, but these, especially the lager and the ale, were so refreshing and full of flavor. They're sold in 750ml bottles, and we took a couple of these home as well. I highly recommend a visit to Rincon Mountain Winery's tasting room. You won't be disappointed!

Every dish was beautifully prepared, and the family-style meal created such a warm and connected atmosphere. We truly wouldn't change a single thing. Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.
