I bought a cordless phone from them. I received an email asking me to call them. I was told the phone would not work in the US so I cancelled my order. I was told to reply to the email that I was sent which I did. i received another email confirming my order was cancelled. The charge of $65 was pending on my charge card. After a few days, I saw it was posted. I called Sams and the man said it would drop off in a few days. I told him it was already posted and he needed to issue a refund. He started yelling at me to call my bank and hung up on me. I have filed a disputed transaction with the bank. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE CROOKS. read more

They tried to cheat me. I ordered an Rowenta Iron they said was in stock. They did not have it. Instead of cancelling my order and refunding my money they bought a used iron on E-Bay from a Thrift store in Washington and had it shipped to me. The Thrift store refund Sam $84.60 they paid for the iron, and said no need to return. Sam will not issue me a credit for $135.18 for the iron unless I return it to them. They are stealing the iron from a Thrift store that uses the money to support children programs. They are thieves and if they will cheat a charity what will they do to you. read more

Why is this company still in business? I purchased a Mini-split AC unit from their website in July 2021. They did a bate and switch, claiming that the one I had purchased was out of stock, but offered me another comparable model for $188 more. I stupidly paid the difference and they shipped the unit to a 3rd party shipper as I requested to forward to me in the Caribbean. To make a long story short when the unit arrived it was a less expensive US model, NOT the 220 V UK model I had purchased. The only solution they offered was a refund or exchange if I shipped the unit back which would have obviously been too expensive. I'm now stuck with a AC unit which doesn't work in the region I live. read more

I ordered a washer from them, they informed me that it was unavailable and recommended another unit which was more expensive. I placed the order for the new unit, and I was double charged for the difference in price. I contacted them and they were very argumentative and not very helpful in trying to resolve the issue. I had to contact the Credit Card company to help. Not only that, they informed me that the item was shipped, I did not get a proper invoice for the product, let alone a tracking number for same. I made numerous phone calls and was bounced around from person to person, and was eventually given a bogus tracking number, which the trucking company had no knowledge of. I was given another number which turned out to be for an item which had nothing to do with my order, but for an item which was already delivered to an entirely different party. The whole process took over three weeks and threw my entire shipping schedule out of whack, which ended up costing me more in the long run. Up to this present time, I have not heard back from them regarding the double charge on my credit card. I will definitely NOT use Sam Stores/Worlwide Voltage again, and definitely NOT recommend them for any business. Find some other outlet and STAY AWAY !!!! read more

I never recommend Sam Electronics, aka Sam Stores because of the following reasons. I found Sam Stores selling a region free DVD player cheaper than other websites, so I purchased one, paying by credit card. The item was delivered in a good condition just after a couple of days, which was good. BUT although I purchased the black DVD player, Sam Stores sent me the silver DVD player intentionally for the reason of no more black ones in stock!!! I do not understand why Sam Stores did it. They are still selling the black one on their website, too. What do they want to do??? I called them for return at their expense. The guy who took my order apologized but did not email me the form promptly that a customer has to complete before return until I reminded him the next day. And also, he did not provide the RMA# which is required for return. I had to call again and again until I get the RMA#. The customer service was not good at all. This afternoon, UPS just collected the box for return. But I still have to continue communications with Sam Stores until I get the full refund. Good luck to me and I never recommend Sam Stores. read more

If you are considering buying anything from this company, please don't. Over two months ago I bought from them a washer and dryer. Two days after it was delivered the warehouse where I had these delivered opened the boxes and realized that there were remarkable dents on the dryer. Since then my claim has been in place without no positive response from this company. They state that if the claim is not done right when the items are delivered they are not responsible for any damages. That the claim is passed along to the transportation company. To make things even worst the transportation company outsourced the service yet to another company. This purchase has been nothing but a nightmare. read more

I purchased a new in-the-box Nokia Lumia 925 cellphone from Sam Electronics Worldwide Inc., dba WorldWide Voltage. Just 2 days after it was received, and before I even had a chance to have the phone activated with my cell phone carrier, the phone stopped working. The display went out and does not work. I had inputted the IMEI for this phone with Nokia.com, and it indicated the phone is "out of warranty." If this is correct, I never would have purchased a new cellphone that is not covered by a Nokia factory warranty. I sent an email and fax to the merchant to get a refund, but they have not responded. read more

I bought a digital TV from them end of April 2016 using PayPal credit. After 3 weeks of not ever getting a TV picture, using their tech service and running around to find more parts they thought it needed, I called numerous more times and they agreed to take it back. I returned it in May and after a month they refunded 65% of my money. I called repeatedly to get the full refund and was given the runaround every time. The last call I was told that its company policy to keep a percentage of the selling price. Nowhere on the website or anywhere was I told there was a restocking fee. On July 1 I filed a complaint with the BBB and the IL Attorney General's office in hope of getting my full refund. Writing this review so others don't get ripped off for time and money with this company. I wish I would have used a credit card to be able to dispute the purchase. read more

Purchased a refurbished LG refrigerator in July 2012. The website had no definition of a refurbished refrigerator. I called them for an explanation and they told me the unit would be free of any scratches and dents since they are display models. I placed the order on-line and put a footnote regarding our conversation in the body of the purchase order. I received the refrigerator a week later and it was damaged by the shipping company. It was noted on the shipping document with the driver present so that I can file a claim. I contacted both the store and the shipping company. The shipping company could not help me since I did not place the order with them. They told me to go back to the merchant. I went to the merchant and provided photos of the dented refrigerator. The merchant is telling me that a refurbished refrigerator can have scratches and dents. This is contrary to what was discussed and also it was footnoted in the purchase order on-line. They would not do anything for me or seek a claim against the shipping company. They told me to send it back at my own expense. They are devious and less than honest. I am bring this issue with the Better Business Bureau. Sam Electronics is also known as World Wide Voltage or Samstores. Peter is the owner and watch out what he says as well as his staff. read more
