The office has been completely turned over--new staff, new doctor, and a completely different (and disappointing) approach to patient care. I arrived for my biannual cleaning only to find out the office had changed hands with zero notice. If you get a text asking to fill out "New Patient Information," be warned: they are treating everyone as a brand-new patient to justify unnecessary procedures. The Red Flags: Redundant X-rays: Even though I had X-rays done just last year, they insisted on taking them again immediately. Unprofessional Environment: The new doctor didn't introduce himself and was wearing a gray sweatshirt instead of scrubs or professional clinical attire. It felt very casual and unorganized. Aggressive Sales Pitch: Instead of focusing on my cleaning, I was bombarded with "treatment plans" and pressured into a consult with their in-house endodontist. It felt more like a sales pitch than a check-up. Rough Procedure: The cleaning itself was a nightmare. The doctor was not gentle--I experienced multiple painful numbing injections for a routine cleaning and significant bleeding. The suction was poorly managed, and the whole experience was worlds away from the care Dr. Sean used to provide. I felt completely blindsided. If you valued the gentle, professional care of the previous practice, you might want to look elsewhere. I will be canceling my follow-up and finding a new dentist who prioritizes patient comfort over upselling.

While on the phone, I asked her about their office policy, which the endodontist told me had prevented them from getting my mother's x-rays from Dr. Baek, which resulted in additional costs. At the time, I hadn't contacted Dr. Baek's office about it, but thought it really strange that they would not share the X-rays with a provider to whom they had referred us. When I brought it up during the call, the front office woman became really irate, stating that it was not her job to contact us to let us know that they would only release X-rays to the patient and that if we had called to request it, they would have released it to us. She said it was part of the HIPAA release forms that we had signed when we first registered with the office, which is not the point of why I brought this up. I was trying to convey that I would have appreciated it as part of their customer service to try and help out the patient as much as possible, rather than having them accrue unnecessary costs like this. Her absolute disdain at the thought of having to provide any "customer service," which apparently is NOT her job at all, was really the last straw. While switching between Korean and English, she also started using really disrespectful phrases, calling me "you" in the familiar form in Korean. I'm sure Dr. Baek is a fine dentist but there are similarly skilled dentists in the area, with far better staff who I can work with for my mother's dental needs.

Dr. Jenny Kim took care of my treatment, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. On my first visit, I went in for an exam, and since they had time available that day, Dr. Kim was able to take care of the issue with my right molar implant right away. It was done quickly and smoothly, and amazingly, I didn't even need anesthesia. For the broken crown on my lower left molar, I needed to redo the crown, which required two visits. Both appointments went very smoothly as well. In total, I visited the office three times, and every single visit was efficient, comfortable, and well organized. What impressed me the most was how gentle and skilled Dr. Kim is. I didn't experience any pain during the procedures, and everything was done carefully and professionally. The treatments were completed perfectly and in a surprisingly short amount of time, which made the whole experience even better. They charge you a 3% service charge IF you use your credit card. Even though they are a preferred provider, I felt they over charge me and didn't bill delta because they want to make up for the "allowed amounts". The day I received my crowns, I was charge another $175.....Not sure why the charge is for??????? I finally received an invoice from them that I had never seen. My teeth are super sensitive and in painful, but I would not returned to them. I felt scammed!

When we sat down to go over pricing, the estimate seemed unusually high. I decided to call my dental insurance directly to verify the procedure codes and coverage. I'm glad I did, because I was told that a $70 specialist visit fee they were charging is actually covered under my plan, and one of the procedure codes they quoted at $800 should have been billed closer to $115 under my insurance. When I brought this up to the office, they adjusted the charges--but then added another procedure code for $350. That raised even more concerns about how the billing was being handled. Because my husband was in pain, we felt stuck going through with the procedure, but this experience left us very uncomfortable. I strongly recommend that anyone coming here double-check their insurance coverage and ask for a detailed breakdown of all procedure codes before agreeing to treatment. We will not be returning and plan to file a complaint.
