Update - 01/2023 So, since my last review, the place has been renovated and the sushi quality has really improved. The birthday picture wall is gone. Sad, but the place looks so much better. It has a cool new vibe with colored LED lighting throughout. The place feels newer, cleaner, and more modern. The hibachi still tastes great and now this is a "go to" sushi place for us where more advanced sushi, like toro and Ikura, are recommended. There is also outdoor seating, which is nice. Parking is still in back if you don't find a place in front on the street. On weekends and holidays, the place can get busy at peak times, especially at the hibachis, so make reservations. They also have an online app for ordering if you prefer delivery or pickup. Service is always friendly and accommodating. Remember to tip well.

Update we've been ordering during Covid and the sushi is excellent. 4 stars. The service is good and the price is good. We have ordered about three times and have not been disappointed. I gave them another star. So good. Old review giving Samurai 3 stars, but all I had was the hibachi. I'll try the sushi and if it's good bill give them another star. Our friend had a party there and the service was great. The hibachi was good, and the chef put on a good show. They were very accommodating. You get a good amount of food for your money, and the prices are not terrible for sushi and Hibachi.

Order trough yelp and who know how much they charge the restaurant

Delicious sushi appetizer portions though are smaller than in past and it's more expensive. Haven't had a meal there in a while just getting usual honey moon appetizer which is always good sushi on the other hand is hit or miss so I rather not to miss and stick with what I know. Just know that if u order on yelp it's even more expensive, there is extra fee on customer and the restaurant. They adding it without letting the customers know, quite disappointed with yelp for being not transparent with they fees. 3 stars for samurai 1 for yelp

This place was a perfect stop for lunch. They have set up an inviting outdoor dining area, shaded and not. We were warmly greeted by our waitress. We ordered a refreshing cold Saki to start our meal. I ordered the sashimi lunch which comes with soup, salad and one additional roll of your choice off lunch menu, got my fav tempura shrimp roll. My husband ordered the two roll lunch which also comes with soup and salad. He ordered a spicy tuna and eel avocado rolls! Everything was great! We had only had hibachi in the past , tables are not open yet, but truly enjoyed our outdoor lunch, will be back!

Great sushi spot! Less expensive than Asagao up the street and the quality of the fish is pretty good. I've dined in once and the service was great, and the staff are always very friendly and efficient every time I come grab a takeout order. It has a basic sushi restaurant vibe, not huge on the inside but nice enough. It's a bit dark inside but honestly no complaints!

I came on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and enjoy the feel of this restaurant. The presentation was beautiful and the fish was very fresh. If I am ever in this area again, I will come back.

New City, NY - whether the spelling's an unfortunate typo or an intentional SEO-optimized…read moremarketing gimmick, Sarkura saves you a trip to the mall food court if you have a hankerin' for quick service teppanyaki, often my preferred fast food alternative at the zombie emporium. The formula is reassuringly simple: pick your starch base (rice or noodles), your protein (chicken/beef/shrimp/salmon/tofu), add the veggie medley, and a signature teriyaki sauce ties it all together. Is it actually all that healthy? Probably not. Does it hit every tier of the food pyramid? Technically yes, if you throw in a cheese wonton. The meat portion is not as heaping as in the pre-recession/inflation days so the protein-to-rice ratio now requires an intervention. I routinely order an extra portion of meat and request extra sauce, so the more loaded platter can theoretically feed two. But who am I kidding! The food is always freshly cooked and hot, and while there is plenty of seating inside, the place runs primarily as a takeout operation, so ambiance is non-existent and not the reason you came here anyway. There's a small and largely uninspired sushi menu with some basic rolls which the sushi snob in me won't deign to touch, but ticks the compulsory "Japanese" box of faux authenticity. Ultimately, if you're like me and could eat some variation of chicken & rice every day without complaint, Sarkura consistently and dependably delivers, and is always satisfying.

It's a combination of the exterior of the roll, the interior, and the two dipping sauces combined are such an amazing combination. Everybody loved their food. Considering we were visiting parents and eating dinner out every single day for 12 days the fact that we considered this the best meal of our entire trip I think says it all. It's so nice when you go to a place and every dish is good. That doesn't happen everywhere you go. Our server was friendly, didn't hover, but yet was there when we wanted to order more and also get the bill. The restaurant is big they did have live music near us but luckily it was very quiet and we were still able to have conversation.

They then took the glass (already filled with wine) and dumped out that glass and gave a new glass, we had to ask for a new pour from another bottle as we ordered a bottle.. not just a glass. They did it and were nice enough about it. Later into the evening more glasses of wine were ordered as the bottle was finished, and..... another glass with lipstick on it!! They apologized and gave us a free dessert. The food just was not that great, the crispy rice was hardly crispy. The sushi rolls were okay but not the best. The ginger martini was very good tho. I won't be back though.

I am well aware dining at Hibachi is a fun, lively, interactive environment but our experience here…read morewas a little absurd. We were sat near a table of Moms who were accompanied by almost a dozen elementary school aged children. Their children were completely out of control... running sprints back and forth in the room, running laps around the tables bumping into other customers chairs, wrestling and laying on the floor and that goes without mentioning the noise. This party was finished eating before we were even sat at our table but the Moms continued to sit and drink for the duration of our entire meal while their children ran wild. At this point the dining room was turned playground and other patrons requested to not be sat for Hibachi. Others had to get up from the room and take a break from the chaos. The reason for this review which has very little to do with the actual restaurant, yet it does is.... This situation definitely danced the line below calling the police for a disorderly group but above the line of the management should've stepped in to inform these mothers they are causing a major disturbance to the entire restaurant, their meal is over and it's time for them to leave.

I took a quick look at the ratings and the food photos and that was enough for us to set the GPS for the Stone House. Entering, we were greeted immediately and made to feel very welcome. The dining room was lively but we had a nice table and soon had water and bread, which came with a delicious sauce of some kind that had vegetables and cheese in it. It was so good they should sell jars of it! We ordered some shrimp cocktail to start (those were some giant shrimp, although it was only three and four would have been a nice even number) and then I had the rib eye for my main. It doesn't come with anything so I ordered fries on the side. That steak was outstanding! The flavor, the texture...everything was amazing. It came out on a sizzling skillet and it tasted as good as it looked. It was also so big that I took half of it home for lunch and if possible, it tasted even better the next day. I was very pleased. The fries were also exceptional and even though the serving was big, I ate them all. I couldn't help myself! Since I took half of my steak home, I decided there was room for dessert and the chocolate mousse didn't disappoint. The food was so good and the service was so warm and friendly, I definitely want to go back to Stone House Grill. If you're nearby, stop in for a meal. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I deducted the three percent from the tip which I left in cash. I eat out at least 4 nights a week. And none of the restaurants I go to charge to use your credit card and I don't go to the ones that do. I won't be going back.
