Undercooked chicken in my chicken tempura roll. Check before you eat! Otherwise food was ok.

Take out review only not dine in because it's still freakin' CoVID!! Bf ordered sushi take out for my birthday today and we are on our way to pick it up. I haven't had sushi in months so it better be great!! Well, it's definitely not great. The scallops tasted weird and the fish was hovering around average. I'm disappointed in LI sushi in general so this was no surprise. Sorry peeps, I'm just being honest. Presentation was a solid 3 stars. Sushi was not great. I wouldn't repeat. My stomach has been aching since. Definitely do not order the tom yum soup. Wow, it's atrocious and we threw it out. Yuck

The other night I went to Umami alone, and ordered the sashimi deluxe. Not only did it taste wonderful but it looked so beautiful! I was surprised! I cried a little because it was so pretty and it felt like so much care went into creating it. It felt special. The service was also great. Thank you Umami folks!

Love this place. I've searched high and low throughout Nassau County for decent sushi place that meets my demanding palate. This simply designed place with a small sushi bar and a handful of tables, has proven by far to be the best I've come across outside of and perhaps including the City. The fish is the best I've had and even their rice is superb. The service is always exceptional and very friendly. Prices are beyond reasonable. My only hesitation about posting this is my fear that I may make it harder to get a table. If so, then I've done my job and hope Umami is around for years to come serving the same food.

To be honest, came here with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the sashimi and sushi we ordered. The fish tasted fresh and was beautifully decorated! I recommend their love boat for two to try two of their special rolls and a variety of sushi and sashimi. We also ordered a tempura appetizer but it was a bit too oily for our tasting. The restaurant is small and cozy and it does get busy on a Saturday night. The 2 waitresses that was working was really busy but tried to be as attentive as they could. Give this place a try!

This is one of the better sushi spots (if not best) that I have had in the area! The fish quality is good, tasteful and creative dishes, and such sweet service. Very quick as well! I would definitely recommend this place.

Miso soup was pretty standard. The french onion soup dumplings were interesting but I would not have them again. I thought the tuna carpaccio was very good, fresh, and flavorful. The chicken jalapeño dumplings were alright. I would not go there expecting a filling meal. Service was friendly but slow and halted. We had a couple servers and they kind of were both taking orders and it got confusing. It was not a particularly busy day - we were one of three customers groups and the others were at the bar, and not ordering much from the kitchen.

We were split evenly into 2 different tables on the outdoor patio in the back. People at my table each ordered 2-3 different tapas. There was A LOT of time between when each tapa came out. Up to 45 minutes! Some tapas didn't even come out at all. I'm not sure he's the situation was at the other table, but I overheard the same thing, that some people didn't get anything they ordered...and at this moment, over an hour had gone by. Our waiter kept blaming "the computer system" and saying "I don't know." He wasn't very apologetic or anything. He would just repeat that it was a computer error. When it was time for the bill, both tables bills were wrong and it had to be fixed multiple times. Even when we were ready to pay. It was all ready, and they wanted to fix the bill again. It was ridiculous and uncalled for. Service was absolutely terrible. On to the food... I ordered a cucumber salad. Menu stated it had cucumbers, avocado and onion. When it came out it didn't have onion, but had feta cheese. I am not a fan of feta at all. I didn't bother sending it back, as it already took nearly 45 minutes for a salad. After navigating around the feta, the salad had decent flavor. I also ordered salmon capriccio. It was light and tasty. It took a while to come out, and it's not even something that has to be cooked. Not overly impressed. Service was terrible, wait times for food was unacceptable and flavors were just okay.

The service was quick and attentive. I also loved that there's a button at your table you can press whenever you need assistance -- such a convenient touch. We ordered the Happy Combo, which includes an appetizer, soup, drink, and dessert, and it's definitely a great deal. The garlic chili edamame was delicious, and the shrimp tempura came out fresh and hot. The Amazing Lemonade was exactly what the name says... amazing!! For my entrée, I got the spicy Tonkotsu ramen, and it was just right. If you like spicy food, I definitely recommend it. For dessert, I had the matcha tiramisu, which had a perfect balance of earthy and sweet flavors. Overall, the food, service, and ambiance were top tier. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back. Thanks again!

However, during our last few visits, there were gnats flying around the seating areas, which made it difficult to enjoy our meals. The food arrives quickly, and there's a button at each table that lets you call a server when needed a pretty cool touch. The staff is mostly younger employees, but they always get the job done with a smile and provide friendly service. The ramen itself is decent, but nothing particularly memorable. If you're looking for something different, try the Kyushu Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. The Popcorn Chicken is a must-order for kids, and the standout dish for us was the Diced Braised Pork Don. Overall, this is an affordable spot with plenty of options and a casual atmosphere. Think of it as the "McDonald's of ramen" fast, convenient, budget friendly, and consistent. A solid choice when you're craving ramen without spending a fortune.

My husband felt it was a little too spicy but I liked it. For what it's worth as spicy as he felt it was he continued eating it! For dinner we shared the chicken tikka enchiladas and ribeye steak quesadillas. The chicken was fire! A big fan of cumin and coriander I could eat the tikka all day long. The dish is warm with depth and richness that just hit the spot. The steak was prepared with truffle oil which gives it a rounded earthy flavor that coupled perfectly with the cheese in the quesadilla. Speaking of cheese there was so much of it that when you pulled a piece off the strings were for days but it never overtook the steak. It was a perfect balance. In the background was a DJ spinning EDM that lent a festive vibe. It was loud enough to hear but not so loud we couldn't hear each other. I actually commented that to my husband when we were talking. This all said, I have to admit I was surprised to see the place was pretty slow. Mission was always packed be it dinner time or later. I couldn't help but wonder why? I must admit I think they could do more with this rebranding of sorts. I had no idea Mission Taco closed and rebranded. There's just a hanging sign outside that says "grand opening". Not to mention that in spite of the fact that it was quiet our food seemed to take a longer than usual time to arrive. Our server was so sweet and attentive as was the runner but all in all service was slow. Overall the meal was enjoyable and I'm confident we will be back. I'm hopeful word gets out about the rebranding and people start filling the place because the food is still fire as it was with Mission. So do yourself a favor and get there now!
