I just moved to this area and I was really craving poke! I looked on Yelp and this place came up. It's a sushi place but they have this Korean bowl that is essentially the same thing as poke! It's bomb. It had a lot of fish and the flavor was so fresh. Definitely recommend if you like poke. (Just ask for ponzu sauce because they don't put any inside) read more

I'm not usually one to write Yelp reviews but felt specially inclined to write this one. Starting off the food here is great, it definitely satisfies the sushi craving. The customer service however is SO good that you have to be careful bringing your family here. I came here for my anniversary dinner with my husband and our kids to celebrate. My waitress in particular had such great customer service that she decided to extend it after we left the restaurant. Specifically to my husband. TALK ABOUT SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!! She not only served myself and children our meal but also serviced my husband days after! She took some sushi from the restaurant to bring for him as well, how thoughtful. Two thumbs up! I used to go to Samurai Sushi 1 (one of my favorite sushi spot) on my way home from the Vegas trip. And I saw this place on the yelp and I decided to come here and it's definetely worth it! This place is very clean, cozy and family friendly place. Do the 6 rolls for $50!! So worth it! Sushi was fresh, rolls were unique... It was really nice to not see spicy mustard and eel sauce on every roll. The cilantro roll was really fresh and light. Salmon crunch was AMAZING if you like Philadelphia rolls, but I switched the smoked salmon for fresh. Only strange thing was the sushi chef being awkwardly demanding with the servers. He may have been the owner/manger, but sitting at the sushi bar we felt a little awkward listening to the servers get reprimanded every 5 minutes. First time here and first time trying sushi in the High Desert area and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I went with the safe choice and ordered the crunchy salmon and Alaskan they were both fresh and packed with flavor. Went here a few nights ago for the first time in a while and was disappointed.For whatever reason the chefs cut the Sashimi gigantic.Could not fit the whole piece in our mouth.I'm not an expert but you shouldn't have to take 2-3 bites to put down raw fish.Even the rolls were huge and fell apart as soon as you went to dip into the soy . Sake was good ! They have that going on .Hate to give crappy reviews but it was like this the last time two times I've been there.Gave it a try once a year hoping it was a bad day or something. read more

Great big portions. We love this place. Great for business meetings. The cilantro roll is definitely something you should get if you go.

The food was good and fresh. Didn't take very long, and they gave a complimentary fried pepper appetizer which wasn't that great. The prices were a couple dollar above other sushi restaurants I go to in Hesperia. The reason I am giving three stars is because the ambulance isn't nice. The tables only have maybe a half foot to one foot of space between them. There were only two servers and they had a wait time of more than 30 minutes. Disappointing night at Samurai. I ordered the ninja roll and when it came it had salmon inside instead of white fish. When I asked if they could remake it correctly according to what the menu said, which is whitefish, they said it was a typo and would not make it that way. I asked if they have whitefish and the chef said yes but they will not make the ninja roll with whitefish which is specifically what the menu states. Strange experience and very bad customer service. Samara Sushi 2 in Hesperia, Ca. Don't ask why we were there, looking for a place for dinner. Again, searched Yelp, not wanting to eat fast food. Samara Sushi 2 came up the winner. Upon entering we were greeted and we chose to sit at the Sushi bar. The atmosphere, very nice, the menu quite extensive especially if you are roll lovers (but note all the "add $1.00. $3.00, $4.00" HIGHLIGHTS all over the menu is a tun-off) Not sure what to expect as far as quality of sushi in Hesperia Ca, we were apprehensive in ordering. We ordered the fried Goyza, Shrimp Tempura, Salmon Sushi, Hamachi sashimi, Sweet Shrimp, Smelt Egg Sushi, Water Fall Roll (cucumber wrap with salmon, tuna, radish, avocado) and a Eel and Scallion Roll. We noted the very nice restaurant touch of a complementary appetizers and dessert to begin and end your meal. The service was excellent the complimentary appetizer and dessert was a nice touch. Atmosphere nice. The presentation done by the sushi chef excellent. The actual quality of the sushi/fish was very OK. All the fried foods Goyza, Tempura, Fried Shrimp head were way overdone. The blood vein on the Hamachi was not trimmed off. The Salmon, Eel roll, Smelt Eggs were descent. I will give you credit for being descent in the town of Hesperia Ca, and for the locals and 1st time passerby OK, but I will pass by next time I go through town. read more

I am pleasantly surprised. First, you eat with your eyes and the presentation showed care and was not just thrown in a container with some ginger and a lump of wasabi paste. There were carved veggies into flowers, the wasabi was piped out and the sushi rolls placed obviously with thoughtfulness. The rolls were all very fresh and delicious. The fish was so fresh it would melt in your mouth aNd the rice was perfect. To top it off, the portions were quite large.
